    It is working for me.
    Have you updated all apps after installing the new iOS 8? i.e., updated iMovie?
    Have you checked, if you have enough free memory after the update?
    Have you tried to reset GarageBand?  Settings > applications > GarageBand > enable reset.
    If all fails, backup your device and reinstall iOS y restoring: Perhaps the download did not install properly.

  • Hello :) I cannot open my itunes after un update. There is no particular error.

    I had read similar questions and i followed all the advices that i found .. but..  nothing happened
    I tried to:
    - reinstall my program;
    - update my quicktame;
    - to find itunes.exe in my task manage->processes and delete it (there is only ituneshelper there) (i've read this somewhere here)
    - to delete this files - theSC Info.sidbfile and theSC Info.sidd ..... but in this folder location (C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info.) there is only .txt file "sc info".
    Is there any other solution tо fix this problem?

    It sounds like your iTunes doesn't launch when you click it even after you reintsalled the iTunes application, updated Quicktime, etc. I would use the troubleshooting for this sort of issue from the following article, named:
    iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
    It is possible that you may need to reinstall iTunes, but there is a specific order to uninstall not just iTunes but its associated apps as well. Just follow the article step by step as far as you need to.

  • Unable to connect to Internet after Secruity Upgrade - Any Suggestions?

    Like several of the previous posts I am unable to connect to the internet. The affected computer is a G3 iMac. It is connected to a Linksys wireless access point. The Linksys wireless router is connected to my cable modem. I get a message that the Built-in Ethernet is active but: Built-in Ethernet has a self assigned IP address and you may not be able to connect to the internet. No combination of changes to the settings has had any effect. I also have tried all of the fixes in the previous posts. None of them have worked. I am not experiencing any connectivity problems with my other computers (2 PCs and 1 Macbook). Everything worked fine until that danged "security upgrade"!

    Thank you for the link to MacFixIt. I found what I needed to correct the problem, although all of the fixes referenced computers with the AirPort card and software. I found that removing the extensions AppleAirPort2.kext and AppleAirPortFW.kext solved the problem. Everything seems to be working properly after a restart last night and an overnight shutdown.

    Are you using iTunes music in your slideshows?
    Try going to iTunes and doing File > Library > Organize Library...
    When that's done, try playing the slideshow again to see if you have audio.

  • Superdrive inop. after Mavericks install, any suggestions?

    I installed Mavericks on my 2011 iMac via App Store about 3 or 4 weeks ago and all seemed fine at first, noticed a few programs loaded slower and wake time was a little longer, but nothing major until I noticed about a week ago when I put in a cd to add to iTunes that I had to push it in almost all the way before the drive would accept it. You could hear the drive try to read the disc and then it just ejected. I have tried several discs this week and same result, blank cd, dvd, factory cd, all spit out after a few seconds. I have browsed through the support threads and found that this was apparently an issue with the Mountain Lion upgrade as well, and a few people seem to also have this issue with Mavericks. I have seen the posts where people say that the upgrade "pushed an already dying device over the edge" but I find it extremely hard to believe that the drive would function but not recognize media inserted into it without there being a firmware issue of some kind and as little as I use the drive, I seriously doubt that it was "on the edge" either.
    So far, I have tried a re-install of Mavericks and "spamming" the terminal with drutil commands, resetting the SMC and resetting the NVRAM/PRAM, none of which have been successful. Since the re-install, the drive now tries to eject the disc as soon as you start to put it in about 3 times and then will let you insert the disc and spits it back out within a few seconds. I am not sure if this is part of the issue, but now when I look in disk utility, the superdrive is there but the letters are greyed out, and when I tried to display it on the desktop, the hard drive would show up, but not the superdrive, even when a disc was in it. It seems as if the OS no longer recognizes the drive.
    Any thoughts or suggestions other than "buy a new drive" would be appreciated.

    When you reinstalled, did you first uninstall, and remove all 5 iTunes related components and any remnant files in either Program Files directory?

    This worked for me:
    1 Go to the finder menu bar at the top of the screen
    2Click go
    3 click applications
    4 go down to iTunes and right click on Show Package Contents
    5 open contents folder then go to mac os folder
    6 open the terminal marked iTunes in that folder
    This should force it to open and function enough, it will not allow importing of music from a desk top
