It's easy to miss. Look for the red warning triangle in the corner of the page in the View All Pages view.

I am trying to downlaod music from itunes for the first time and get an error message iTunes couldn't download your purchase. You don't have write access for your iTunes Media folder or a folder within it. Change permissions in the finder and then choose store check for available downloads.
I have done all of this ... made sure that they are writeable and still having problems. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in the finder, right-click on it and get info. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings if necessary. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and apply to enclosed items like so

You would have to sign out of the store with that AppleID and sign in with the alternate AppleID.
Settings -> iTunes & App Stores -> tap the Apple ID showing, logout, then login.
Beware thought that you can only change a device's AppleID association once every 90 days.

Songs that you purchase from the iTunes Store are simply files. They only sit on the computer where you purchase them, until you copy them to another computer.
That is how it works. There is no web site where you can play all your files. It's primitive I know, but there may be changes coming.

Contact your carrier & have them reset your Voicemail. Most carriers require such, so after they reset it, just set it up again.

iTunes is not installing because its incompatible with your OS. When installing the correct version the new version will update the older version, there is no need to uninstall first.
The last version of iTunes compatible with OSX 10.4 is iTunes 9.2.1

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
