I am unable to use my apple id and even unable to rest the user id, I've done purchases with my previous apple ID and now, if i want to make updates on my phone it requies a password, when i type in the password it shows as RETRY !!! and i tried resetting the apple id, nd the screen shows an email is sent reset of password, so far i never receive any email. please kindly help me. thanks

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

You can only create a new iCloud account using a Mac or an IOS device, once you have done that you will be able to sign in using a PC.

Apple store gift cards and iTunes gift cards are not interchangeble. They have to be used for the store in which they were purchased.

If you are making use of a "subscription" desktop application the subscription has to be "active" (paid up).
Once your updated info is processed you'll be able to use the subscription application.

Im getting the please try again youve used an incorrect password notification on the screen when I know for certain that im entering the correct password.

Since updating the software to version 5.3 I have been unable to use my Apple TV due to an HDCP issue. I have eliminated the HDMI cable as the problem problem. My Television is HDCP compliant. And prior to updating my Apple TV to the current version all content was availble and streaming beautifully.

Unable to use my apple id for facetime and imessage.

I recently changed my apple id so that I was not sharing the same id with my son. Now I cannot use my apple id for facetime or imessage. I can use my son's id, but not mine. (So no network errors, just an id problem.)
I am using the latest software - iOS version 8.02
My time and date are correct.
The error message I see is that my user name or password is incorrect, but I am 100% sure that I have entered it correct. Same id/pw works for icloud, itunes, etc.
Same problems exists for iPad 3 as for iPhone 5.
Is there some way I can reset my facetime/imessage settings and clear out any old data that might be stored somewhere (hopefully not wiping out the whole phone/ipad?)

Unable to use any Apple Cinema Displays with unplugged 2011 MBP

My older MBPs have worked with Apple Cinema Displays (I currently have a few year old one and a 2011 27" ACD) while unplugged. My new 15" MBP however needs to remain plugged in to allow waking (or prevent sleeping) when hooked up to the display in clamshell mode (computer is closed). Is this a bug, a problem with my configuration, or just the way it is?

if you want your settings to be the same plugged in while not plugged in, you'll need to do so in energy saver preferences in system preferences.
once there, you can tell your computer how to act when on battery power or when plugged in. This means telling it to not sleep even when not plugged in, or visa versa.
if you're talking about using your MBP closed while using the ACD, all you need to do is close it, and move your mouse around. it'll wake up but your ACD will become the main display with your dock and toolbar.

I have seen in forums that this is a common problem. I have updated the os to 5.1. I have tried to log in to iTunes on my pc but with the same result.
Is it yet possible to set up an App store account without payment method using an existing AppleID?

The iBooks app comes pre installed on an iPad.
If you can't locate the iBooks app, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
If that didn't help, swipe left of the Home screen. Type iBooks in the search field.

I erased my mac os x hard drive and tried installed lion again without knowing that I have to use my apple account, and I have forgotten my details for it.

So I held down option and the power button and erased my hard drive to set it back to factory settings for school and I did not know that I needed my apple details to install lion again, and I dont know the username and password for it because I never really used the apple app. I created another apple account but it says I cannot use that account on it.. From what I learned from testing with a number of people, you do need to invoke IR in certain circumstances.
Command + R will reinstall the currently installed OS version. Apple ID verification is needed.
Command + Option + R will reinstall the originally installed OS version IF that was Lion or ML and the drive is erased first. (This is the option that needs to be used by sellers needing to wipe the drive and reinstall the original OS version before selling the machine; it will also work with a newly installed HD or other problems requiring a fresh install). Apple ID verification is not needed.

Restore iPad to Factory Default; do not restore from backup. It may be the cause of the problem.
