I am using pages on my iPad Air, and figuring out how to create a table of content? (TOC)
Anyone can help me please?
Based on what I have found, at this time, it appears that the only way to add a TOC or Bibliography to a Pages file is via Pages for MAC. Once that is done, you can automatically add entries in Pages for iOS. But you cannot initially add the element.
It is not out of the question that there are some templates for Pages for iOS available that already have these added and available - but I cannot say first hand. All of the built in templates for iOS appear to be for short format documents and I have yet to find one that includes the TOC or Bibliography.

I would say: Try and Error. Create a copy of your document and unmark in the copied document in the document inspector all boxes for the TOC. Then mark them again. Maybe you should also delete the paragraph styles and mark them again. If that doesn't work, try to copy the complete text of your document to a new created one. Maybe that works.

Hi - Re Keynote I'm trying to figure out how to create a music album (as an artist) on USB flash drive, (accessible by both Mac and PC). What I want is a background picture with 'click-buttons' to play each track listed, and play in order (like a cd) - also similar for embedded videos and photos etc. This should all be on the one page.
Is this possible with Keynote, or any other software package for Mac (am using Macbook Pro) ?

How to check 2 tables(Table A and Table B) and figure out new columns present in Table A and add these new columns to Table b.

You'll find some good video tutorials with these Google searches:
(search Google for these terms without quotes)
* indesign paragraph styles tutorial
* indesign table of contents tutorial
* InDesign paragraph styles in table of contents tutorial
The simple principle is: InDesign creates a TOC by "pulling out" heading paragraphs from your document. To help it know which paragraphs are the headings you want in the TOC, you need to create paragraph styles, and apply them to the heading paragraphs. Then, when you perform Layout > Table of Contents, you choose the heading paragraph styles, and run the process.
It may be daunting if you've never done anything like this. But, if you've done it in MS Word or other word processor, the principle is the same - make the headings identifiable in some way, so the software can extract them.
Look at the video tutorials, create a heading paragraph style, create a TOC, and let us know the result.
If your document is one of several that are gathered into an InDesign book, search Google for terms like "working with InDesign books tutorial," and "InDesign book table of contents tutorial," without quotes.
It would help if you can provide screen shots of your result. Search Google for terms like "how to create a screen shot on mac," or "how to create a screen sot on windows," without quotes. It also helps to display hidden characters when you make the screen shots. Search Google for terms like "how to display InDesign hidden characters," without quotes. Search Google for terms like "how to post a screen shot on an adobe user forum," without quotes.

Tou can use Table inside table to show the details this way but I'm not sure about Expand/Collapse.
Expand/Collapse are part of HGRID.
I think we can develop this functionality with little manipulation.

Can't figure out how to create an update form in a cfwindow tag
I finally was able to figure out how to do an add form inside
of a cfwindow tag yesterday. But I want this form to be
multipurpose, and allow edits as well. But for the life of me, I
can't figure out how to pass a row of data to the form inside a
cfwindow. Normally, I'd pass the primary key via the URL but if I
try to do that here, it basically reloads the page and closes out
the cfwindow since I have the window set to not show by default.
My page has a list of departments. My page is called
departments.cfm. For each row in the department list, there is a
link called edit. When the user clicks this link, I want the
cfwindow to open with the cfform populated with the data from the
department list for the row selected. Sounds simple enough, except
how do I pass the department_id to the form? If my link is <a
href="departments.cfm?id=#department_id#>Edit</a>, the
cfwindow tag displays and I can see the data in it, but then closes
right away. I finally figured out that it was calling the page
again and the cfwindow is closing because I have it set to not
display by default. I'm about ready to drop this cfwindow and just
do real popup windows via javascript. And I'm normally not in favor
of doing popup windows, but the application I'm working on doesn't
have enough real estate on the screen to do a hidden form, so a
separate window containing the form is my best solution.
Anyone have any suggestions?Well, this is kind of a tough one for me, but it sounds like
the best way will be to launch a JavaScript function everytime the
user clicks the link, like this:

I Cannot Figure Out How To Create A Signature Spot! Help Please!
Hi,
I'm not very good at all this stuff. Long story short I have a contract drawn up that I need to use for doing business with my customers. At the bottom I want to leave a box where they simply click when they're reading the PDF, and it allows them to draw in a signature.
I first encountered this kind of thing on a W2 form, and it was so easy it worked without even pulling me off the browser.
I have Acrobat Pro 10.1.1, but I simply cannot figure out how to do this.
If anyone has the time, step-by-step instructions that a 6-year-old could follow is probably necessary with this.
It would be so much appreciated.

-RobertIt's possible that the W2 you used was set up with the EchoSign service. It allows you to draw a signature with a mouse. This is available as well with more recent versions of Reader (10.1+) if the form isn't Reader-enabled or secured. You will see this in the Sign panel when the document is opened in Reader.
You can otherwise get an EchoSign account and upload your document and send it to your customers through the EchoSign service. You can establish a free account to see how it works. -
How to create a Table of Contents using Pages 09?

I have little problems creating a Table of Contents in Pages, though it seems quite simple. I'm working with the template 'Term Paper' and I use paragraph styles (Title, Heading I, II, etc.). I have some very long documents (about 80 pages long) so I wanted to create a TOC (using sections) but it says:
The table of contents is empty because none of the paragraph styles selected in the Document Inspector are used in the document.
When I compare the paragraph styles I do use and the paragraph styles in the Document Inspector, they match. So I'm a bit upset about this because I really need to use this great feature!

I would like to create clickable Table of Contents (TOC) that can lead to a sub clickable TOC that would lead to a specific page of different PDFs within a folder.
Is that possible?
Secondly, is is possible to create a search box that upon typing a specific word (not related to text within the PDFs), that word to be linked to a specific page of a particular PDF out of many within a folder?
To make it more clear, I have a database of specifications of equipment and drawings of a building, all in multiple PDF files. I would like to be able to unify all those PDFs and if I type the room number of the building to be presented with a menu of choces pointing to services assosiated with that room, being elctrical power drawings, lighting drawings or drawings of Air Conditioning and Ducting associated with that room. So I type a room number, then I get a menu of Power, Lights, Fire Alarm, or Ducting all associated with that room, then if I click Fire Alarm to be directed straight to the drawing within a PDF related to that room.

How do create a table of contents page from a series of bookmarks?
I am compiling bundles of documents for printing, starting from single PDFs. I combine them using Acrobat Pro X for Mac which gives me a single PDF, with a series of bookmarks for each document. I then insert page numbers.
What I need is a way of creating a table of contents for printing (as opposed to a "digial T.O.C" - ie the bookmarks list). Ideally, I would need a script that would copy the list of bookmarks and the page numbers for each and dump them to a new page in the PDF bundle (or a text file).
That way I can print the PDF with a Table of Contents at the front.
There was an entry on the Acobrat for Legal Professionals blog a while back (http://blogs.adobe.com/acrolaw/2009/12/list_bookmarks_with_a_free_scrip/) - as far as I can tell that hint only works for Acrobat 9.
Any help gratefully receivedRick Borstein created an Action in Acrobat X Pro., that allows you to create a Bookmark Report. You might see if that does the trick.

It started with the second page not being able to be displayed

HelpThis is a page within the Yahoo site? When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In that dialog, you can individually remove your yahoo.com cookies.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
