I am a gate automation engineer and use a pressure device during the install which was bought 4
yrs ago and uses windows xp operating system. As I needed a new in the field laptop I went for a small new
HP netbook which is ideal for use from vehicle and suited my aim as it is loaded with windows XP!!!
The problem is I also use anold PS Elements 2 to resize field taken pictures and for e.mailing This was also sold for use with Windows XP..
On attempting to install it on this new netbook I get as far as the installation page, I select elements and leave adobe reader out of the install, click next get the timer and then it all goes back to my desktop?
I have tried to install manually but there is no sign of a setup.exe command?
Technical say they do not support this product anymore,can anyone help?

I tried installing PSE2 on two of my computers just now...both have large resolution screens.
On my Windows 7 SP1 system, clicking on AutoRun worked ok and I was able to get past the serial number page but cancelled after that because I have newer versions of PSE on there and didn't want to mess them up.
On my Vista SP2 system, clicking on AutoRun brought up a panel with several buttons including one that would install PSE2 and one that would install Acrobat 5, but none of those buttons worked. Clicking on any of the buttons showed a momentary button-depress change in the button, itself, but no new window ever opened. I had to manually open my CD in Windows Explorer and go down into the Adobe Photoshop Elements folder (as just suggested) and was able to run the setup.exe from there, and it worked just fine.
Setup.exe is in the following folder on my CD where your drive-letter may be different:
D:\Adobe Photoshop Elements\setup.exe

Is it by any chance passworded?
It helps if you give some details:
eg What version of Pages you are using?
Can you just open Pages on its own?
The file extension and origin of the word doc
What message does the computer pop up when it fails to open?
Otherwise it is all just guesswork.

Make sure the computer is authorized. From the iTunes menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.

For changing the MAC address for Windows 7 is designed with some limitation, we cannot get over it. Thanks for your understanding.
Under Windows 7, the possible range of spoofed addresses for wireless adapters that can be set is limited. To be used by Windows 7, a spoofed MAC address should have 0 as a least significant bit (unicast) and 1 as a second least significant
bit (locally administered) in the second nibble. Thus possible values for the second nibble are limited to 2, 6, A and E.
In other words
MAC address: “XY-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX” “X” can be anything hexadecimal. The hexadecimal “Y”, written in binary format, is Y: “kmnp”, where “p” is the least significant bit;
p=0 --> unicast;
p=1 --> multicast;
n=0 --> globally assigned MAC;
n=1 --> locally administered;
So, actually MAC can be changed to any combination in which p=0 and n=1;
“Y” can be 2, 6, A or E.
So the possible MAC addresses in Windows 7 for wireless adapters:

Okay. First of all, not "our" people, since this isn't adobe--it's the user to user forum and we're just other customers like you. You're allowed to install PSE on two computers. What exactly happens when you try to install it on the other computer? You can never, never copy it over from an installed version. You must start from scratch on each installation. PSE is not a tidy package like the average mac app; its installer strews stuff all over your hard drive and neither you nor the migration assistant can ever find the bits.
So a little more detail about just what you've been doing and how will help.

It's not a unique situation - happens all the time, smaller hard drives getting filled up.
It's also easy to fix. I just moved my itunes content to a bigger hard drive.
First I made a backup of the itunes database file - iTunes Library.itl. Just in case anything went wrong.
Nothing did go wrong, but I'd have it in case anything DID go wrong. That file holds ratings, playcounts, Date Added, and other metadata.
Second, in itunes change the preferences > advanced tab to tell itunes to put everything on G:
Set the itunes folder location to something like G:Media or G:iTunes
This will affect all FUTURE additions to itunes and not do anything to the existing locations.
Make sure the checkbox for "Keep itunes organized" is NOT checked. I also left the "Copy files when adding" unchecked.
Third, to move all the files to G: without itunes losing the paths, run the File > Library > Organize > Consolidate command. This will need to run a while, so be patient as it copies all the files to the new G: location. This does NOT delete the originals. You will have to do that.
Fourth, make sure everything in itunes is OK and you can play stuff in your library. If you're really cautious you can run a script to check for missing/dead tracks.

Do you mean Entourage? It appears you have Office 2004 or older. Those are PowerPC apps only and will not run in Lion or later. If you need access to those emails like, "RIGHT NOW!", then I would suggest purchasing Office 2011 for Mac. Outlook is the new Office email client in 2011 and can import your older Entourage data.

Log in to icloud.com with your Apple ID. Once you're logged in, click on your name on the upper right corner. Click Advanced and then Reset Photo Stream. This will delete all your photos in the album Photo Stream in your iPhone 4S so make sure you have backed up (copy to Camera Roll or new folder) all those that you want to keep.
This is the only way to do it with iOS 5 (not the beta releases)

Using PSE 6 and Lightroom together

I have been a fan of PSE for years and have built up a catalog with over 20k items. I am working more and more in raw format and Lightroom seems to meet my requiremeents well, but, how to use PSE 6 and Lightroom together. what do people do? keep the catalogs in both applications? catalog in PSE and just edit and print in Lightroom? Are Lightroom changes then reflected back in Elements when viewing images?

I'd have to disagree slightly with Barbara - for me LR is primarily a RAW processor with a so-so Organising capability. Of course that's only my opinion.
Having LR and Elements working together is possible but it's really a one way street. The ability to Import an Elements Catalog is a feature of LR but it doesn't work very well. Tagging hierarchies get lost and even Date/Time info can go astray.
For me I had to start re-importing all my collection manually into LR and re-keyword them. LR is quick at applying keywords - which can also be done during the import process itself.
What you can do from LR is to open an image in Elements Editor for any creative work. LR creates a TIF version to edit in Elements and then keeps the results in it's library when you close the image.
My workflow now is to import new shots directly into LR and Keyword and Process them but I also export TIF files which I then have Elements Organise - Elements will pick up LR keywords correctly.
I just find Elements Organiser is faster and importantly allows you to select specifc images by selecting multiple AND combinations of Tags. LR only uses an OR function. I.e images that have only London AND Bob as opposed to images that have London OR Bob.
Printing I still do from Photoshop as I find it more controllable - particularly Print Sharpening.

Is this audiobook configured to sync to your iPod via it's Books configuration pane in iTunes? Click on your iPod's device name under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Look for the Books tab along the top and click on it.

My Apps and contacts, etc. are back on the iPhone, but it still won't accept music from the new iTunes PC.
