I bought a used iPod touch and when I try to set up my iCloud account, it says that the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this device. Is there a way around this?
I bought a used iPod touch and when I try to set up my iCloud account, it says that the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this device. Is there a way around this? I thought I could maybe set up the account on my PC and go from there, but it won't let me do that. It is forcing me to set up on the iPod. Am I doomed to have no iCloud account because I opted for a used device?

When I try to sign in its says I can't because of the maximum free accounts were activated
it says that when you try to create an apple ID , not when signing in. Are you sure you're trying to sign in?

When I try to sign into my iCloud.i get a massage saying that The maximum number of free accounts has been activated on this I pad. Please can you tell me how to get round this problem ?
All you can do is re-use on of the accounts previously created on your device, or create an account to use on another iOS device or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or later), if you have one.

I receive a " the maximum number of free account have been activated on this iPhone " when I want to sign in iCloud with my Apple ID on my iphone..please someone help me..
Any one device can create only three iCloud accounts: this is tied to the hardware, not the user account, and there is no way round this.
You will have to create an iCloud account on another iOS device or Mac, then you can sign into it on your iPhone. -
HT204053 the maXIMUM NUMBER OF FREE accts have been activated on this iphone
what does it mean when it says the max nbr of free accts have been activated in this iphone when trying to log into icloud
Any one device can create only 3 separate iCloud accounts. This is tied to the device itself, not any user accounts. Once you have reached this limit you can only create another account by using another device - once that is done you can sign into the new account on the original device.
Why have you been creating these accounts - is it deliberate? I just wondered whether you were doing this by accident when trying to sign in.
If you sign in with an ID which has already been used to create an iCloud account you will be signed into that account. If you try to sign in with an ID which has not been used to create an iCloud account then a new one will be created (up to the limit of three). -
My iCloud doesn't work even tho I have my the password and the username still it's says that I can't
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer. -

When I try to set up my time capsule it says that the PPPoE Server is not found... What does this mean and how do I fix it? Thanks !
You are using PPPoE but there is no server to authenticate against.. or the modem is already connected and nothing else can join.
Is this ADSL?
Do you have the modem in bridge?
How does it work with the modem working as router? ie what type of connection does your ISP supply.. eg PPPoE is only one.. PPPoA is another.. IPoA or ETHoA.. and sever other more specialised.. PPPoE can only work where it is supported. -
"maximum number of free acounts have been activated on this iphone"-this is my problem when i attempt to sign in
please tell me how to over this problemApple limits every phone to only three icloud accounts allowed for creation. You can create account on other device and then use it on the phone. Otherwise there is nothing that I can suggest, short of selling that phone as without icloud, phone is devalued to extent.

when i want to set up icloud on my iphone, it tells "can not sign in maximum number of free acounts have been activated on this iphone" what can i do now?!
You won't be able to create a new iCloud account on your phone as the maximum number of accouts have already been created. Your only options are to either re-use one of the accounts previously created or create a new account to use on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or higher), if you have one.

how can i access to iCloud to my iphone because it appear to the screen of my iPhone when i try to access my iCloud that the maximum number of free account have been use already please help me
Welcome to the Apple community.
Once three iCloud accounts have been created on any iOS device, it can you no longer be used to create any more accounts, regardless of what you do to it. You will need to use a computer or another iOS device to create your account and then use the details to log into your account on your phone. -
can not sign in to Icloud it keeps coming up the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this ipad 1st generation
Error Message: "Cannot sign in. The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this ipad/iphone"
I encountered the same problem when I purchased a used iPad for my elderly father and couldn't set it up for him. I called Apple Support...
Apple support could NOT help me. I was told there is no way to circumvent the 3 icloud setup limit on iOS devices at their end. I was told to use a different mac or iOS device that hadn't met the 3 x limit.
So, using MY iPad I tried to do that. At first I went to Settings/iCloud. But that is your PRIMARY iCloud account (and this was MY iPad and I didn't want to screw up my own settings!) which you don't want to trash.
After some online research (iMore to be exact) I discovered you can setup a secondary iCloud account using:
Settings/Mail,Contact,Calendars --> Add Acount... -->iCloud --> Get A Free AppleID --> Birthday Q then Security Question - then Name - then Get a free iCloud email address....
After you get to the new iCloud settings page at the end of the signup process - I deselected all the tabs which made the new account "inactive" on my iPad.
Next I went to the used iPad that had the initial problems, and tapped on Settings/iCloud. I signed in with the iCloud account that was newly created and was able to then get an iCloud account to work!
I left the new iCloud account showing on my own iPad (under Mail,Contacts,Calendars) as it is inactive. I am not sure what would happen if I deleted it - it may stop working on my father's iPad then. -
If I try to activate iCloud, my iPhone tells me: The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone.
I have this problem too on two iPhones, neither of which have been jailbroken and both of which have been restored as new via iTunes on a PC and upgraded to iOS 5.1. It's the same whether signing into iCloud or Find My Friends. What is causing this error? If an iPhone is completely wiped and restored as new, it should not retain the previous user's iCloud credentials.

I cannot sign into icloud.. It says that the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this ipad. What can I do ?
You'll have to use a different device to setup iCloud, and then sign in using that account.
Is it a second hand iPad, or have you created multiple accounts on it already for some reason?
