I bought osx lion by mistake. How can I get a refund?

I was waiting desperately for OSX Mountain Lion, which was anounced for july. I went to the App store on july 2nd, I looked for Lion in the search tab, I did find an OSX Lion and I clicked BUY. It started download, but never got even 10% because of my internet connection bandwidth. Then I realized that my Macbook Air, which I bought on Dec 2011, had OSX Lion 10.7.4 already installed. How can I return this purchase and get a refund?

Open iTunes (Mac) and go to the top right and click on your email. Sign in and navigate to Purchase History > click see all > Click on report a problem > Find the purchase for OS X Lion > Click report a problem and tell Apple what happened and they should help you out. I've gotten a store credit before but its a one time acceptation. I hope this helps!

In order to proceed you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6.8) first: you can purchase this from the online Apple Store. Note that you must have an Intel Mac in order to install this (and you should check the other requirements, listed in the Technical Specifications on the Store page, before purchasing). As you have Leopard it's possible your Mac is a PPC one: if this is the case you cannot upgrade any further.
Once you have upgraded to Snow Leopard you can obtain Mavericks for free from the App Store in your Applications folder. The requirements for Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
If you are unable to install Mavericks (it won't let you if your Mac isn't compliant with the requirements) you may be able to install Lion.

2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window.
Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. You should see your hard drive in the left hand column along with your other drives. Click on the drive and select the Erase tab. Set the format value to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Erase button. After that has finished select the Partition tab. Type in a Name for your hard drive and select how many partitions you want from the Volume Scheme. The usual setting is one partition. Click on the Options button after you've selected a partition to make sure it's set for GUID. Then click the Apply button and after the Partitioning is done quit Disk Utility.
You can now follow the instructions on the install screen

If you bought it, it will stay in your Purchased folder in iTunes. If it's a song it won't play as a ringtone (they're different), although you can create a ringtone from it (Google "create ringtone in iTunes").

Actually, I've had original CD already.

Go into your itunes store account and click on purchase history. Click on "Report a problem" at the bottom of the page. If it was your last purchase it should be at the top and have a link that you can click on that says "Report A problem". Follow the steps the screen gives from there. This is not a guarantee that you will receive a refund (or store credit which is what they would give) but one of the options is "Accidently clicked Buy" or something to that effect. Someone should email you within 12 hours I believe (the screen will tell you how long after you submit).
