This appears to be related to the same issue afflicting FaceTime logins on iPad. You must go to wifi settings>advanced and put 8.8.8.8 in the DNS section. Is that part of the problem? Or is 5.0.1.not corrt?Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

My itunes can not upgrade. it is looking for athe Itunes.MSI file, but it is unable to find it on the C:drive. How do I correct the error, and reinstall Itune for my Iphone, Ipad and Ipod?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

Exactly what it says. You can only change the automatic downloads for a single ID on a device every 90 days.

Cannot find button, in the Store definition, for defining automatic dowload of music, through itunes and icloud. Just find for Apps and Books, although every screenshot for instructions in any apple site shows the music button above the Apps button.
It may not be available in your country. Automatic downloading of music is only available in certain countries.

How do I enable the automatic download of music books etc so that they stay enabled
I have just received my new ipad3 and tried to download a book sample, but I cannot seem to enable the automatic download. When I tap the screen the legend goes from off to on for about 5 seconds and then reverts to off. What am I doing wrong.
OK I have just found out how to do this from a previous question. Sign out and then back in and it all works as it should.

The bottom line is that you'll still have some copy of your photos on your hard drive but they can be smaller, optimized versions. -
How would I go about deleting all the duplicate tracks that were imported?
The reason I would think your iTunes stopped working is because your system is no longer compatible as iTunes requires Windows XP SP 2 in order to work properly.
If you want to back up your iTunes content then I would suggest opening My Documents>My Music and choose the whole iTunes folder and move it to an external drive. That is normally where all your content is saved, unless you didn't have 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library' selected in iTunes then you might want to use the whole My Music folder as your backup. -

Apple does tell you about required equipment for the iPhone -- in 8 point medium gray type on a light gray box. The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique. -
When I run Netflix or Hulu in my PS3, I can enable automatic episode play, which is great when I am cooking or cleaning, and my 4 year old is watching a show. However, upstairs I run Netflix and Hulu via the Apple TV. Hulu allows for automatic episode play but Netflix doesn't. Is this something I can control via the ATV, or is this an issue with Netflix? Any info will be apreciated!

Today I got a iPad mini but after updating it my pc and iTunes decided to clear my whole iTunes library including manual downloads as well as purchased items (apps, music etc) it seems iTunes has gone back in time as there are only a few songs on my iTunes which are really old ones of mine. I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.

When using my iPhone and Macbook with iTunes, I cannot get the checkboxes to stay checked in iTunes to use the automatic downloads for iCloud. It is so frustrating. I check box them and hit ok under store preferences for iTunes, and when I go back in, they are unchecked. I am so excited to use iCloud with my iPhone downloads and it is not working, if I can't get it to work with this, I am never going to get it to work for documents. Please help.

In Settings/Store, when I slide the on/off button to "ON" it just slides back to "OFF", for each of Music, Apps and Books. IPhoto 9.6.1 printing still freezes
