I can not download anythign with firefox.
When I right click and save to a folder the file will appear in the download manager and appears to download, but when I try to find the file in the folder its not there, and when I right click on the file in the download manager the "open file" and "open containing folder" options are grayed out.
I can download using internet Explorer.

How are you accessing these .ashx files? Is there a link that you follow to get there? If so, can you download them by right-clicking on the link to the .ashx file and selecting the "Save Link As..." menu item?

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Can not copy links with firefox ...
I use Firefox to play a ton of games on Face Book. When ever I right click on a link to copy it and send to others, it doesn't work. This has been going on for several weeks. I thought it was my computer but have discovered that Safari lets me copy the links just fine. I prefer Fire Fox. Can you help me with this. ?????

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

On Internet Explorer I can use my Discover thing to fill in any form needed but Firefox won't allow it as it keeps saying there is no available browser. How can I change that and what does that mean? I am not a computer person

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

I tried to download Firefox 4.0 on my Mac Intel running OS 10.6.6. I get a message that it can not download because libsmime3.dylib is open. And now FirFox 3.6 has disappeared. What do i do?
FireFox can't open lots of files it isn't suposed to. DMG is opened by the Mac osx as a virtual volume file you just drag the FireFox icon to where you want it installed. Check your desktop for a FireFox volume... like a drive. Double click the DMG file if it is not there. This is how Mac works it has nothing to do with FireFox, many apps install this way!

Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. I've rented several movies over AppleTV, but can not download. I get a message "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later. " i've been trying for 3 days now... anyone with similar problem?
I have the same issue, to temporarily fix it go to Settings > General > Restart. When it restarts the movie should play. You have to do this for each movie for the most part.

Backing up your phone isn't really relevant. You can download items you've already purchased (from the iTunes Store on your Mac) to your phone. If you have items you didn't purchase, e.g. ripped CDs, you would have to subscribe to 'iTunes Match' ($24.99 p.a.) to be able to do the same thing with them. -
I can not download the current update, 7.0.2 to my ipad 2. There is no error message it just fails to install. I have tried to download it several times with no success. Also I have tried a restart and that has not made any difference.

2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.
