i need help
someone
when i try to install i get this at the end
"there were errors installing the software"
"please try installing again"
also in disk utility
i get this
"invalid file or directory ID found"
"the volume HD needs to be repaired"

and when i try to repair it from the MAC OSX disk i cant
i get

also i cant install the BSD as it is a .pkg

If you cannot afford either of the third-party utilities:
• Alsoft Disk Warrior 3.x (DW3)
• Micromat TechTool Pro version 4.1.x (TTP4).
then you will need to follow the instructions in "Disk Utility reports 'Underlying task reported failure' when repairing a volume."
Specifically, given that your attempt to repair the disk using Disk Utility from your Tiger DVD failed, there are no other solutions available for this problem other than:
• Attempting repair with the third-party disk utilities cited above.
• Backing up whatever data can be saved, then reinstalling Mac OS X with an Erase and Install.
See the article I cited above for details. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
To avoid having to reinstall in situations like this, as funds permit you should consider investing in:
• Implementing a comprehensive backup and recovery solution. For advice on the backup and recovery solution I employ, see my "Backup and Recovery" FAQ.
• Alsoft DiskWarrior and TechTool Pro.

I sounds like you have the first generation (1G) iPod Touch with an iOS earlier than 2.0, Yu can identify your ipod here:

You can identify your iOS version by going to Settings>General>About and look by Version. Yu can update ti iOS 3.1.3 (the lated for the 1G) by this link. It is a paid update. You may have to try another browser to get he sublink to work correctly.

I did the latest download for my iPad and now I can not download anything from the App Store or iTunes. Please advice how I can fix this problem?

I downloaded the last update on my iPad and now I can not download from the apple store or iTunes. I just sits there and continues to act like it will but nothing happens. And then it times out and goes back to home screen. Have a 32 so have have plenty of room.
What would you advice I do? I purchased this iPad in dec 2013.

Double tap your home button to bring up the most recently used apps.
You'll see the app icon below and a screen shot of the app page above.
With your finger swipe the app page above the app icon upwards to fully close the apps (you should do this regularly).
Now, reboot your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You won't lose any data or settings.
When your iPad comes back up, see if you can download again.

I purchased a new 120GB Fujitsu HD, model number MHW2120BH. I boot off the DVD, format the drive as HFS+(Journaled) without a problem. My trouble starts when I attempt to install OSX. The page showing all possible install destinations, there is a red ! over the new drive, with a statement of "You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. You cannot start your computer from this volume"
The specs on the drive are: SATA interface; 1.5Gb/S data transfer. This model number of hard drive seems to be what Apple is using in MBP 120 options. Is there another step I am missing to this process or can I not use this drive?

It will not let you install osx on the hard drive because it is not bootable. Just formatting the drive does not make it bootable. As I said check page 8 and erase and install your software per the directions.

Got problem with every download boxes. I've download garage band and mainstage3.
When i download garageband and run it, box starts downloading content. When it was finished, he ask me for admin password, then shows window with no network conection and starts downloading again.
Mainstage is downloaded but it don't wanna install. After hour installing progress is none.
Please help couse its killing me.
My network connection is not very fast but works fine, sometimes faster sometimes slower but i dont think its reason of this problem.

When I download apps from iTunes, and want to synchronize with my iPhone, I keep getting and pop-up error saying something like "The Program xxx could not be installed on your iPhone because you are not authorized to play it on this computer"

Your external HDD may not be formatted properly that would allow for the MBP to write to it. It probably is formatted NTFS. To be compatible with a PC and Mac, format it FAT or EXFAT. For use with the MBP only, format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

Can not install software from Mac with Parallels

I have a Mac and I am running Parallels. I am running Windows 2000 in a virtual environment. Parallels recognizes other usb devices but not my 8330 Blackberry curve. It does not detect the device. If you go under device manager it shows the usb port with a question mark. If you open it there is a code 28. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software with no luck. i have tried desktop 4.3, 4.5, and 4,6 with no luck. I have tried updating the driver still no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Note: I am using version 4.0 of Paralllels.

I had a similar problem recognizing and syncing my BB Curve 8330, but running XP under Parallels ver 3.0. I spent two days trying several versions of DM all the way up to 4.7 with no success. Then, I read in another post that Desktop manager would recognize and sync my BB Curve 8330 under Parallels 4.0 (I had 3.xx) so I upgraded and it worked!

I can't install apps from my apple store, need help

Hi All, I have an iphone 3GS. I used to download free as well as purchased apps from the app store. For some reason I am not able to do that anymore. For example when I try to open my facebook app, it keeps on not opening it, last time it did that to me, I deleted it reinstalled it, but now I am stuck because I can not install anything from the app store. Pls help what it does it: I click on the app store, it will allow me to pick the app I want to install (e.g. facebook, then it gives me the option to download, i.e. 'Free' but the free is with a plus sign i.e. "+Free" then when I click on it, the "Install" appears but partially like "insta..." then am stuck can't install or do anything, anyone with idea on how to resolve this?
P.S. I have not upgraded to IOS 4

Log out of the Apple ID on your iPhone.
Reset your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Log back into to your Apple ID with the current password.

PLEASE HELP! My Ipod touch will not play anything from or in itunes.

I don't know what to do. For the first 4 months everything was great then all of a sudden my Ipod would no longer play anything from or in itunes. I can not transfer anything from itunes to it either. It looks like it has been transferred on the ipod and in itunes under my device but it will not play anything. I can download directly into the ipod and its fine. I listen to audio books from library sites as well as buy them but now it does not work unless it can go directly in the ipod which library sites need to come from your computer and them be transferred after its downloaded. Can anyone help me? I even have a brand new ipod thinking it was the other one but its not. I have windows 7 64 bit. Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing changes. Thank you.
