    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
    You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

    If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

    Perhaps Bob will see this thread, he is the professor in these cases.
    You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
    All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
    Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
    Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
    All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
    Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
    I want to test 2 other things:
    1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
    2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect.

    The problems with the store from yesterday were fixed judging by posts on here saying that it was working for them. If you are still having problems, and you can get online in other apps (e.g. Safari), then have you tried :
    - disconnecting and reconnecting to your network
    - doing a soft-reset of your phone (pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, ignoring the red slider, after which the Apple logo should appear, which is the equivalent of a reboot
    - logging out and back into your account on your phone via Settings > iTunes & App Stores

    Anybody else having problems with the iTunes Store today? A gift email to my girlfriend never arrived (I gifted an album) even thought it was re-sent 2x to different addresses, and is not in a spam folder; I haven't gotten emailed receipts for several transactions (although I know they went through - PayPal was charged and emailed its receipt), and I had trouble off and on all day getting through to the App Store to update apps.
    I noted this on Twitter and Facebook and a number of friends replied that they were also having significant problems as well. Anyone know what's up?

    To follow up, I re-sent the gift a third time late Friday (that's four attempts total), and it was successfully received and redeemed this morning (Saturday). I also received a response from iTunes Store support, whom I had contacted separately, which contained the gift code from the transaction and advice to send it directly to the recipient, but they did not acknowledge any problems with the Store.
    I did get a number of responses on Twitter and Facebook from others who had iTunes Store problems yesterday, however.

  • How can I resolve the major problems with Lightroom 5 on iMac 5k?

    There are many many bugs that have come up in Lightroom 5 on my new iMac 5k (OSX10.10.1 Yosemite) that are seriously challenging my productivity!
    A short list of the problems include: Huge slow-downs when navigating in the develop module, very slow and sometimes unresponsive crop tool, improper slider scaling when develop panel in resized (because it is far too narrow on retina screen), poor auto selection of spot removal tool, slow local adjustment brush tool, and overall slow load times of 1:1 previews. My 2011 iMac beats the maxed out 2014 5k iMac in almost every part of the develop module except for initial loading and export times. What the heck is going on?!
    These are just some of the problems with LR, there are many more issues with premiere pro and after effects...

    Well, many of my issues evaporated when i re-installed the most recent update 5.7.1 (by download rather than cc desktop updater). Cropping is finally fast, sliders are ok for scale as long as you don't change panel size while the application in running (if you do you must close and reopen LR for slider scaling to match panel scaling). There are still some issue that I will be reporting on, but will make do for now.
    This was a major retina 5k iMac compatibility update, even though its not really mentioned in the list of fixes

    I have an Apple ID and have a problem with an order.
    After transfer money in to master card, I can not "edit payment information". I am sure that my card can payment all of amount owed in billing.
    Would you please advise me incase.? I want to re-downoad app for MAC, Iphone and Ipad.
    I have only 01 Master Card for shopping in itunes store!
    My payment card account is active and has available funds to accommodate transactions

    Apple APAC reply me but  process not successful:
    1) Make sure your billing information is correct on your iTunes account. -----------------> Yes, I am sure!
    2) Check with your bank.  ---------------> Yes. My bank answer that all of payment is nomal.
    3) If your current card is still not being accepted, try using a different card.--------> I have only master card and I can not  replace immediately. Now, I desperately need to purchase application for Mac, Iphone and Ipad.
    After re-install Mac os and Ipad, all of app should be blank.
    Would you please advice me why my payment method was declined?

    Is the address on your iTunes account (format and spacing) exactly the same as on your credit card ? If it is and your card isn't being accepted then try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I can not watch a rented movie with iTunes

    I found the movie in the store (The Emperor (1080p HD)) and rented it thhrough my mini's (a 2.3 Ghz i5 w/ 16Gb Ram running Mac OS 10.8.4) iTunes app (version 11.0.5). I waited for the movie to download completely. I selected the "Rented" tab from my "Movies" Library and clicked on the movie icon (it had a strange appearance which was a generic light grey box with a fim frame in the middle). iTunes responded with: "This movie requires Quicktime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes.). I admit I was dumbfounded for a moment since I associate Quicktime with Apple media more closely than iTunes. I went to the file via Finder, and looked at the extension: m4v and tried to open it with Quicktime. Quicktime responded: "This application cannot be used to play "Emperor (1080p HD).m4v" In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes."
    OK, I mumbled, I've seen nonsense like this before and it could be permissions based. My iTunes Library is on an external network drive because of its size. I'll copy the file to the local volume and see what happens. A few minutes later, the copy was complete. I added the file to my Library in iTunes, and this time the movie's icon image was correct. I launched to film. It opened and audio can be heard, but the video is absent. In its place is a field of alternating grey and white squares. I can watch any other video file at 1080p. The mini is connected via HDMI to a Yamaha AV receiver which outputs video to an Epson 5010 projector. Screenshots of the iTunes window appear the same when opened in Preview. I've changed the screen resolution from 1080p to 720 and 1080i and get the same result.
    This evening's experiment is over since the rental ends in 24 hours now that I've -listened- to the audio.
    Can anyone tell me why I had this experience and (outside of not renting another movie from iTunes) how I might successfully view an movie in the future?

    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General> Date & Time.
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings >General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check theuser guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.

    Hi I recently upgraed to iOS 6.1 on my Iphone 5. After the upgrade, it was all good. Over the weekend I went Austria for Ski. While taking the photos, I simply locked the phone and kept it my pocket as I had to go. After sometime when I opened my phone, I could hardly see anything. I tried to unlock with pin and tried restarting with great difficulty. But nothing worked. Coming back home today, I have tried restore the software and still no luck. I have tried restore almost 5 to 6 times, but the screen is still blank. I dont know if what state it is in and I can not do anything to fix it. I am very annoyed with the support service as they can not be reached on Sunday evening.
    I could manage to book a call tomorrow but I have lot of work over next few days at work. Can someone please help how to fix this issue now? Any suggestions will be much apperciated.

  • Problems with Itunes Store and Youtube..

    Hi,
    Just wondering if anyone has had this same problem or if there's anyone who can help me out..
    My iTouch used to connect to WiFi perfectly, but lately although it connects the same as always, everytime I try to go onto either youtube or the iTunes store, it keeps telling me it can't connect. Safari works fine & even youtube will work if you hit one of the "featured" videos, but I can't search for anything & the "most viewed" tab is non-exsistant.
    I can't access the store at all.
    As I've said, I used to be able to use all the wifi features with out any problems. I'm not sure whats gone wrong, it seems strange that safari works fine but the other two don't.
    Has anyone any idea what could be wrong?

    I think the use of these features is dependent on having an iTunes account,
    check that you are signed into iTunes on your PC then resynch, might work?
    If not, the usual reset - restore routine.

  • Problems with Itunes store and Paypal account.

    Hi - Recently I was purchasing an app from the store and it said there was a problem with my Paypal account. I use that account all the time and it was in good standing and nothing changed with the password etc.
    So I went to the Itunes account, edited the paypal account information as I noticed that it was showing my email address and not my paypal address. After finishing the process successfully it still shows my email address and not my paypal address (they are different). What gives? How do I fix this???

    Try changing your country selection in the iTunes Store page within iTunes to the one you are using now - seems resetting the country back to itself can help. Did for me.

  • Problems with Itunes store after upgrading to 7.3.2

    I upgraded to 7.3.2 and now the Itunes store won't work. It takes forever to load and once it does half the pictures and icons cannot be shown. You can't buy any albums or songs because the buy icons are big red X's. Is anyone else out there having similar problems? Has anyone found a solution?

    This is the same problem I am having but I got not response... I've tried the keychain first aid and disk utility but still no joy.
