I can't change my Fios speeds to Quantum without chaning my TV plan!?

So for the previous 2 nights, i've been trying to change my internet speed from 20/5 to 75/35.
I've tried though the website, MULTIPLE times. The website works sporadically, sometimes i get furhter than others, but the end result is always the same, i get to the 4th step, where it asks for my email and phone number, in which the fields are already completed because i have all the info updated in my profile. Upon hitting the "Next" button, i'm greeted with a message that asks me to review the given information.
I decide to take to the phone lines on the first night, and i'm told to call back the next day since the dpt. that could help me with this is already closed.
I comply , and call back the next day, this time i'm advised by said department to try live chat.
Did the live chat thing for about an hour , in which i was told to try what i had been trying the previous night, about 2 or 3 times... i'm finally told they have to call me to be able to complete the process...
During this phone call, i'm told that in order to change my internet speeds, i have to switch my TV plan from Fios Extreme HD to an "updated" version of Fios Extreme HD in which one of the channels for which i signed up for Extreme HD in the first place would be lost... (Gol TV , to be exact).
" Your TV plan is old and outdated, and unless you change it, there is nothing i can do about it ".
I'm sorry? You mean to tell me , that in order for me to give you MORE money for better internet speeds, i have to spend MORE money on my TV plan , and lose some channels on top of it?
I'm not sure what Verizon's idea of Customer Service is but i hope it doesnt involve making fools of their loyal customers, and forcing them into situations that even a Kindergartener would see are unfair and, frankly, rediculous.
I'm honestly hoping that i was just dealing with one of the many misinformed customer service reps, and that maybe there is someone else who understands what is really going on , and can help me change my internet speeds without chaning my TV Plan, unless of course, that is too much to ask. In which case my 2 year contract is up, and i'll start looking for somoene who can accomodate my needs.
Anyone else having similar issues?

Based on nearly 10 years of dealing with Verizon on various issues, I'm not surprised. Verizon CSR's seem to be so totally script-bound they can't provide any real help at all. Plus the bureacracy and antiquated systems Verizon employs seems designed to produce the worst customer experience possible. How this company stays in business is incredible. Fortunately for them, and unfortnately for us customers, the competition is equally bad.

How can I change my country back to Canada without being forced to enter payment information?

I made my account in Canada and then I took a trip to the U.S. my friend gave me an iTunes gift card and I used it. Afterward I have to contace support to remove my Apple ID balance so I can switch my country back, but I ended up being forced to enter payment method information. I do not have a credit card and would not want to get one. Is there a way i can change my Country back to Canada without having to enter payment information? (it dosen't have "none" option available)

Once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
However, all is not lost. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

I think your VI works and if I understand what your input data looks like and the output that you want is, does it?I really can't see a better way. Does it not work for what you want? What form is the actual data in as you receive it? (not how it is displayed by the display setting of the string control) You have the string control set the “Hex display” and that may be confusing some of us as to what the actual input data is.
And what you want your output to look like. Do you get a “stream” of bytes that are the actual numbers in the form of a string?or Do you get a “string” of ASCII char that represent numbers?
These are two different things, but may look alike depending on the display setting of your controls are set.
Changing the display mode of a control or indicator does not change the under lying data. It only changes the way your eye “see” it, not how LabVIEW “sees” it. We need to know what your raw input string looks like.
tbob's snipit assume your data is one way and your VI assumes another.

I have created a link for Indesign using Photoshop. It is basically a plain black graphic that is placed over an aerial to highlight the represented water. It is possible to change the color of this graphic without actually going back into photoshop?

Another option is to make a path around the image, so that you have a vector shape with full control over fill and transparency.
You can do the path in Ps, save as clipping path, bring into InD, position, convert clipping path to frame, select and delete content, fill, fade...
It may be easier to do the path in InD, but perhaps accurate positioning over the area you're after would be an issue.

First time trying to burn a 12 minute DVD from Compressor. I got an error that says use a different brand DVD (i have used memorex dvd's before with no problem) or burn at a slower speed. How do I adjust the burn speed?

Well, given that you can write an img, I'd guess the most likely culprits to be the media (hopefully) or the optical drive. Easiest step is to try a different brand. Bad batches are occasionally manufactured. FWIW, I am a long-time user of Verbatim and have rarely had a problem.
So try another brand and see whether it will burn from the disk image.
If it does not, try a short section of a different movie. And if that failed, it would point strongly toward the drive.

I have a vi that gets temperature as a function of time from a thermocouple (MCC). I want the temperature to be sampled at different times not just every 5 seconds. How?

Hi Nicholas3,
I just want to verify that I understand your issue correctly. You are acquiring temperature data and want to slow you acquisition down, I am assuming that you are using a thermocouple and thus are using DAQmx to read said thermocouple. If this is correct the easiest way to accomplish this is to insert a wait into the acquisition loop. The wait functions are on the Timing palette. This will hold the loop for the specified number of milliseconds before allowing it to iterate. There is an excellent shipping example titled Cont Acq Thermocouple Samples-SW Timed.vi within this example this method of holding the loop is used. as illustrated in the screen shot from the example.
What is happening is in the while loop a call to the DAQmx Read VI is made, pulling a single temperature sample from the DAQ device into PC memory. The while loop will then wait until the user specified amount of time has elapsed before iterating and pulling the next temperature sample from the DAQ device.

How can I change a color of an image without affecting the texture, but based on a pantone pick?

Here is an image of a paintbrush stroke that shows the texture of the paint. I want to change the color to a specific pantone green in order to match a specific color pallet. Rather than just using hue saturation to "guess" at the color (no pantone number), is there a way I can actually set a base color without losing the texture?

You can only use the picker values as a guide on an image with many tones.
I presume you are going to print as cmyk, so find the mix of the target colour and make a 'solid colour' adjustment layer and choose that mix. Then set the adj layer properties to 'hue' which should do it.
Otherwise, add a 'hue/saturation' layer (and click on colorize in the adj layer palette) and move the slider to suit.
If you convert to greyscale, you could colorize the pic with the spot colour too.

How can I change to a different SSL certificate without restarting FF?

I work in a helpdesk environment and my team requires the use of two different SSL certificates for one particular website depending on what we are doing. I can only find the following two ways to do this:
1. Restart Firefox - this is really unproductive due to the nature of our work we have a lot of things open and in use in different tabs/windows and restarting firefox makes us lose information/progress (it's not the kind of stuff that re-opening the tabs automatically will fix).
2. Wait 20 minutes after the last use of the certificate for it to time out and then Firefox will ask us to choose the certificate next time we try to access the page - obviously this is a pretty asinine solution and won't really work. (:
I'm just wondering if there is some way to force Firefox to change certificates or forget the one that is currently in use for the site?

Thanks for the suggestion, I should've mentioned I'd already tried that without success. I tried clearing everything in the Clear Recent History section actually but the certificate is still remembered.
I've also just now tried deleting the certificates completely but not even that works - a little concerning. (:

But in a special case I want him to change a particular field.

Sorry I don't really have time for a full sample so the basic idea is:
DI_company1 -> This is your logon with the user who is not authorised. When they trigger the scenario where they need to update the field they are not authorised for (and I can't give you a sample for that, it is completely up to your scenario) do the following

The basic idea is that you are connecting a second time with your addon, with a new company object, using a user who is authorised & then disconnecting when finished. Your original connection (DI_Company1) is still connected and valid.
Code is a horrible mix between VB and C# syntax because I don't have an editor to hand

I'm working with Text fields that have, for example Name, address, etc. on the left & the box to its right.
I'm further down the form & want to allow for a longer field description but then it changes all the formatting above.

You can change the size of the label, the text input box, and the field itself (border around the field in the design tab) - however there is one exception to being able to control the size of every field individually:
Fields that have "Labels left" or "Labels right" that are also the first field in a row will all share the same label width.
This is probably what you are encountering, this is how the fields work for now, those first in a row label left/right labels are all the same width.

How can i change the tempo of a track without changing pitch?

I did this before but for the life of me can't figure out how i did it. Usually when I change the tempo (BPM), the recorded tracks sound warbly. But on some of my projects, this doesn't happen even though they're "real" sound recordings.
Both projects are using Groove Fix and under "Pitch" I have "Follow tempo and pitch" checked off. Why is one project
changing tempo seamlessly while the other project is warbling along? Automatic tuning is not the issue because neither project is enabled for that.

The reason some files sound funny and others don't is because audio is handled a few different in Garageband depending on it's source (audio your recorded vs Apple Loops vs non Apple Loop pre recorded audio). Each of these have different color regions with different properties. I just found this thread that might better explain it:
