How can I export 6 mono tracks and a one track two channel stereo pair in a quicktime as separate tracks?

I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.1) and need to export a 5.1 mix as well as the stereo tracks as 7 separate tracks in a quicktime. If I select 8 channels it automatically creates 8 tracks. Also, if I export the the seventh stereo track as mono track won't it play mono?

First of all thanks so much for the response and info. Just to clarify, you're saying I will need 8 tracks, 2 of which will be designated for the stereo pair, right? My concern is that I'm supposed to deliver only 7 tracks. They want the stereo pair as separate channels on one track. I'm wondering if I can create a one track stereo pair and put it on a stereo track, then export only the seven mono tracks (plus an empty track). Would the stereo still work?
Thanks for the link to the previous post. I had actually read it and though it was helpful in explaining how to set up the audio tracks I was still confused about the export.

Exporting wav files creates 6 mono tracks

When I make a sound track in Soundtrack Pro from samples and effects loops and export it as a wav file for editing in FCP, it exports as a 6 mono track audio file instead of a single track mono or stereo file.
How can I set it so that the sound files export as single mono or stereo tracks? It is too tedious to deal with 6-track sound files in FCP.

1. Make sure your submix is set to stereo not mono.

How can I create a mono audio file?

I'm trying to run the Zerius vocoder program, but even if I select the mono input and record audio through the computer, it exports it as stereo. Is there a way I can save a file as mono so I can use it with Zerius? Thanks!

I have 1 video clip and 2 conected audio tracks.
How can i create 1 stereo track from the 2 splitted mono tracks?

No. One work around would be to create a stereo sub mix channel, this would at least give you a single fader but it won't help you when editing. You could try grouping the video and two audio, then they should be easier to select.

I’m still a little confused about Stereo Vs. Mono tracks when recording in Logic. (This might sound stupid, but I’m still getting confused by this stuff.)
When first recording a track, do you guys usually do it in mono or stereo?
Secondly, I’m still confused about the benefits or stereo tracks. Why not just record mono and then pan a track left or right when mixing? I’m just not getting the concept of stereo recording. Most of the things I record are done on mono tracks. Each piece of a kit goes to its own channel, then I pan things accordingly later (Overhead L & R, etc.).
You only need to record in stereo if you actually have a source that is stereo, i.e. a keyboard with stereo fx and L&R outputs, but even then I usually just set up two mono tracks, one for L and one for R. I would do a similar thing if I was using a stereo pair to mic something.
You can always make a mono track stereo later as well using a variety of plug-ins.

Can't create a new real track...

Ok I've encountered another problem, and this one prohibits me from doing basically anything. The last problem in the post I made with the title "Mysterious crackling/buzzing" seems to have worked itself out (yes!!!). First I'll tell you my setup. I have a guitar (with active electronics if that helps at all which i doubt...) plugged into a Line 6 POD XT Live which connects to my compter via USB and I play through GB on tracks with no effects in Channel 2 (Mono) with the monitor usually on. Well, that is, until now. The only way I can hear my guitar or have any signal through GB is if I'm in a previously saved project which already has tracks on it that are available for recording/playing. I can record and play fine through these tracks, but when I try and create a new track (Real) absolutely nothing happens. I go to track/new track/real/create but bsaically all that happens is...well...nothing. If I have selected a track (which works fine if I created it before the problem started) and I try and create a new one, it just does nothing and hs no effect on the elready existing track I'm on. More annoyingly, if I try to make a track on a brand new project, I can only make a software track, but the exact same thign happens when I try to create a Real track. Nothing. Plus, when I'm in a previously created project, and I use a track that I made before the problem both of the boxes that are supposed to show if you want a guitar/vocal/bass all of that stuff on the left, and the box on the right have nothing in them. Completely blank. I belive this may be a similar problem to the one I had in my previous post titled "How do I create new real instrument track?" Here's the link:

In this problem I was using GarageBand 2 and I was playing through an M-Audio FastTrack USB, but the only difference I believe in the two problems was that I could create a new real track, but there were the words "no track selected" in gray (unable to be clicked) in the left box, whereas its impossible to create a track in the first place with the problem i have now. Also, no one could help me on the last problem, and I had to delete GarageBand (but I had to buy iLife '05 again since we lost the install DVD) after I called the support team from Apple, and talked to one of the head guys who was completely baffled. So that's basically all i can describe with my limited knowledge of technology, oh and I deleted the .plist and.cs files and repaired permissions (again) if that helps.

'tis all good right now, just checked on another post dealing with the smae problem, unfortunatley i was forced to downgrade to GB 2.0 but hey, it's only until i can find the iLife '06 DVD.

Don't drag the midi into an open Logic project. The tracks won't set up correctly.
'Open' the midi file with Logic as if it were a Logic project. Then all the tracks will be set up so you can start editing them and applying better saved sounds and instruments, but you'll be at a starting place where you can hear what's going on.

You can use NSTrackingArea to set up the area(s) you want to track. For example, if you have a view named "myView" that you wanted to use, you can set up a tracking area by specifying the rectangle (I am going to use the entire view) and tracking options with something like:
   set options to (current application's NSTrackingMouseEnteredAndExited as integer) + (current application's NSTrackingActiveInKeyWindow as integer) + (current application's NSTrackingInVisibleRect as integer)
   set trackingArea to current application's class "NSTrackingArea"'s alloc's initWithRect:(myView's frame()) options:options owner:me userInfo:"tracking myView"
   myView's addTrackingArea:trackingArea
The options are a bit wordy, but they determine how things are tracked - you could also just look up what they are in the class headers and use that. You then need to add NSResponder handlers in the owner class for what you are interested in - for this example, they would be:

    log "mouseEntered"
    log theEvent's userData() -- data specific to a trackingArea
end mouseEntered:
on mouseExited:theEvent -- cursor has exited a tracking rectangle
    log "mouseExited"

When using multiple tracking areas, you can add some user info that can be retrieved from the event. In the above example, I used the string "tracking myView", but it can be whatever you want.

Can't import still images into a project or create a podcast track

I'd be grateful if anyone can explain why I can't import still images onto a track like you can easily do in garage band - in garage band you simply create a podcast track, then drag your photos onto it. However in logic, when I open the media browser i can get a photo folder up but it will not allow me to even look at the contents.
Also, why is it that the manual for logic express has nothing about how to import a movie to produce a movie score - and yet garage band can even do this.

Have you tried "Working with Video" section of the manual? It's somewhere close to the end...
Logic works with audio, not images. That's why you can't import a photo, because media browser is used to locate audio files, mostly. And sometimes video.
I guess it works this way, you create a podcast with Logic, bounce it to mp3 or another compressed format. Then import it into GB and insert a photo.

Create 2 stereo tracks from 2 mono tracks

If I send a FCP sequence to a STP mulitrack project it opens with a left channel (A) as the on camera mic and the right channel (B) as the wireless mic. Since I want both to come through both channels I assume I should make the edits/corrections on both, then insert 2 new blank tracks. I'll then copy/paste each of the previously mono tracks so I have 2 stereo track, right and left A and right and left B. Does this sound correct or am I missing something here?

I'm trying to multi-track using an m-audio device, I can record my guitar fine. However, I want to create a new track so I can record an acoustic tambourine over the top. Instead it records the original guitar as well as tambourine? its really annoying

I've managed to record over the top of a guitar before and add diferent riffs and sounds but I've tried all of the settings but its still not working. Basically I want to record different tracks without it recording my previous guitar riffs as well. Help would really be appreciated.
