I can't download Lightroom 5 that I just purchased. I kept getting error and when I tried again it said "

What can I do about this?

You can download LR4 from Adobe but you will need a serial number for V4 as the serial number for V5 will not work.
If you are still on Vista you really should look at upgrading to Windows 8 64bit as you will experience similar problems with other software. Vista was released in Jan 2007 which is 7 years ago, a long time in computer terms and was never very popular. Its current share of the windows OS is around 3% and going down so not much incentive for developing specific software support.

Can you download Lightroom onto a Google Chromebook? It tells me there is a problem but I don't know if it is with the website or with the Chromebook.

adobe products are developed for mac and win os'es, not chrome.

Can't download lightroom 6 upgrade

i just bought Lightroom 6 upgrade for PC/WIN. But the download doesn't work. Paying is finished over paypal and i am on the adobe download page where i can choose WIN or MAC Download. But pressing the download icon/text for WIN does not work. It does nothing, when pressing the icon/text!!!

I've been trying to download Lightroom 5 but can't click the download button in Chrome. Also tried Safari and Firefox but they both give an error saying can't open the specified address. It's not my software version either. Getting pretty desperate after 2 hours of Google :-). Can you please help me?

In Safari I get this error message: Safari can't open "aam://SAP...[link of the download]" because OS X doesn't recognize internet address starting with "aam:". I thought it was a browser issue (I can't click the download button in Chrome) so downloaded FireFox but it also gives me an error message saying: Firefox doesn't know how to open this address because one of the following protocols (aam) isn't connected to any program or allowed in this context.
I don't have Creative Cloud Membership, I received a CD with Photoshop Lightroom 5 with my new camera from Samsung. Because my MacBook Air doesn't have a DVD drive I figured I should download it. Couldn't find Lightroom 5 in the Appstore so I figured I should download a trial version and simply add the key from the DVD. Unfortunately I can't even download the trial version due to these error messages.

Silly Apple, you can't even buy Lion/10.7 anymore, onlt ML/10.8 after you get SL/10.6!???
You need to get 10.6 & update to 10.6.8 first to be able to buy it from the App Store & download it.

I just recently purchased Lightroom 4 (online at Adobe's Education store) and have been extremely satisfied with it. However, my computer recently died (it overheats 1-5 times a day and half of the keyboard doesn't work), so I just purchased a MAC. I tried to deactivate LR4 from my previous computer, but couldn't find a way to do so, so I uninstalled it. Can I download LR4 onto my new computer now using my Serial number? As a student, my funds are fairly tight, and after just purchasing a new computer, I don't want to have to buy Lightroom again.

Yep. No problem. Lightroom doesn't activate/deactivate like other Adobe products do. Just download it, apply your serial number, and you'll be good to go. Your serial number is available on your old computer when you run LR. Help->System info...
If you copy all your images in the same folder structure to the Mac and copy your LR catalogue there, then it is a simple thing to reconnect the images to your catalogue. Right-click on the highest folder in the hierarchy (in the Folders panel) and choose Find Missing Folder. Repeat if you have several highest-level folders.

History:
Had G5 iMac with OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger)
Bought Lightroom 1
Bought Photoshop CS3
Upgraded to Lightroom 2
G5 iMac died, though bootable external drive/clone exists (I have been running Lightroom from there via an old Powerbook - very inefficient.) All original files are intact, and accessible, both on the iMac and the external drive.
I have acquired an Intel iMac also running 10.4.11 and want to run Photoshop and Lightroom on that computer.
I cannot locate the originally downloaded LR2 install package.
(Photoshop will not be a problem, once I find the original disks.)
I have all the serial numbers recorded (LR1, LR2 and Photoshop).
I have tried to run both Photoshop and Lightroom from the external drive, but get an error message that I must reinstall the applications in order to use them. I cannot boot from that external drive (as I am now doing with the Powerbook), because its OS is incompatible with the Intel processor of the "new" machine.
Obviously, I should also get the disks next time I order software.
I would be grateful for any leads.

Can I download Lightroom 1.0

I have lost my installation CD but I registered the product at the time and I have the serial number. Can I download the product instead? My Lightroom is freezing all the time and I need to reinstall it (did that some years ago when this problem occurred). My system is OSX 4.11.

The Photoshop Lightroom installers are available on the product update page at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/. Typically Lightroom updates download and install the entire application. I am unsure if you will need to download Lightroom 1.3.1 or the Lightroom 1.4.1 update. I would probably start with the 1.3.1 and see if that works.
Please keep in mind this version of the applicaton is not likely to be functional on a modern operating system.

My Creative Cloud desktop app is empty (nothing shows when i open it). I have just uninstalled it and tried to install it again, but got the message: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install. (Error code:50).
If I go on adobe's website, sign in to my account and try to download Lightroom from my desktop apps, I get a new page saying that Lightroom is going to install. But nothing ever happens.. I am downloading again the creative cloud desktop. Hope this time's a charm
