I can't find a book I downloaded from ebook search. It was a free copy of the great gatsby. How do I locate D-L'd books?

The manual suggests that all downloaded books are shown on an app named "bookshelf" I don't have this app. I have to go to the iBook, Nook or Kindle app to find books downloaded from them, but it is the free book from the eBook search app that I cannot locate anywhere. How can I get all my downloaded books to show in one place to access them?

Thanks for your advice. But what is the link you are referring to? I have showing on my iPad 2 screen icons for Nook, Kindle, iBooks and eBook Search. I believe I downloaded "Gatsby" from eBook search. But when I open it I only get their usual display page with no link anywhere visable - nor access to "Gatsby".

Can't find a lecture I downloaded from iTunes U. I'm using an iPad2 - brand new.

When I go to "downloads" I get the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions screen. When I go there all I see is that info in every language. I can't find my downloaded lecture anywhere. Help!

When you download pocasts from the iTunes U site, they should be available to you in your iTunes Library in the iTunes U section (see attached screen shot). Hope this helps! All the best...

I am having difficulty finding ringtones I have downloaded from my computer to my I phone 5. The individual files can be found by search on the library but there is no listing of them and have not transferred back to phone from I Tunes

I cannot find ringtones in my library that I transferred from my desktop although I can find them in a search of the library. I can't get them to transfer back to the phone from ITunes.

All the ringtones show up in I Tunes under "tones" on the left side. They also come up under the Ringtones Icon on my phone. But they are not on the ring tones list when I go to edit a contact...just the default ringtones are listed

I am required to delete the file parent.lock but when i try delete it, it says its already in use and when i close firefox it dissapears and i can't find it to delete it. I tried a file unlocker and it says the same, so how do i delete it?

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

not really sure about your question.
Do you have the the iBooks App? You can download
it for free from the App store on your iPhone. If you
already have it your ahead of the game.
Select iBooks, at the top right of the screen select Store.
At the bottom right you can select Purchased to see a list
of ePubs you have downloaded.
Or select Search then select the search bar at top and type
in a favorite title, author or maybe even free books.

Any of the above will work, depending how you would like to set it up.
Given that kids tend to eventually grow up and be independent, the best long term answer for most people is to let her have her own account and her own library as soon as she can handle it. Keep in mind that content purchased from the iTunes Store is permanently tied to the account from which it was originally purchased, so separating later is a challenge.
If you want to sync multiple devices to the same library, that will work. Or if you want separate libraries (as I would recommend), they can be either on separate computers or on separate Windows user accounts on the same PC.
For the name change: Connect the device. When the name appears in the left sidebar of iTunes, highlight it and change it.

Apple keeps books for a short time (used to be 40 days. I've not seen a recent time frame)

Books do nor exist except in the iPhoto database so you can not "find" a book vista TM. You restore a previous library (be sure NOT to overwrite your current library) and switch to it

Thank you for the update. I currently have Photoshop CS4. I plan to update to CS6. Unfortunately Adobe sales is closed on the weekend. I plan to purchase the upgrade on Monday assuming that is possible. In the meantime, I was going to download CS6 just to save time.
