I can't open multiple windows in Firefox 8.0.1

I recently upgraded to 8.0.1. I am running Windows Vista.
I can only have one window open. I can openmultiple tabs within that one window.

Can i open multiple windows or tabs in itunes?

Hi,
When I look for downloads with Safari I can open multiple tabs to compare items and efficiently use my slow connection. Now apps for iPad are in iTunes, where that option doesn't seem to be possible. Very annoying.
Or am I just missing some trick for opening additional tabs or windows?

Can I open multiple tabs in Firefox when WINDOWS starts up? Command line limits to about 204 characters...

I know how to configure Firefox so that it opens multiple tabs every time you open ''Firefox''. I want it to open multiple tabs when I start ''Windows''. Or in other words, I don't want to connect to multiple web pages every time I open a browser, just the first time I log on for the day.
I tried appending the web sites in the command line of a Firefox shortcut in my Windows Startup folder. The problem is that in this approach, you're limited to as many URL's as you can type in about 204 characters ('C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe' uses up 52 of the 256 characters available in a shortcut).
Is there a way to open more tabbed web sites than that?
What would be cool is if there was something like a FFstartup.ini file or something, where you could provide a list of websites as long as you want, and it would open them all. So, the command line would look like:
'C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe' 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\FFstartup.ini'
...and the FFstartup.ini file would look like:
[Startup]
'http://www.yahoo.com'
'http://www.google.com'
'http://www.firefox.com'
etc...
If there's no current way to do this, how would I make this suggestion to be developed?

Use a .bat or .cmd file to start Firefox if you need more space than the target line in a shortcut allows. 
Separate the URLs with spaces.

Can't open another window in firefox and add-on icons won't show

I had to do a system restore after downloading malware which avast stopped from activating. I downloaded Spybot and scanned/fixed various things it had identified but then my laptop wouldn't start in anything but safe mode. After I did the system restore, the malware and Spybot were gone, but Firefox crashed every time I tried to open it, so I had to use Internet Explorer to get online and download Firefox. Since then I have 2 problems: Firefox will only open in one window (it will let me open multiple tabs but only in one window) and my add-on icons (the Personas fox, the Greasemonkey monkey, the Boost for facebook infinity symbol, etc) won't appear on the bottom toolbar or browser bar as they always have, nor are they in the Tools drop-down menu as they always were. I can't get into Personas favorites at all either, despite having reinstalled the Personas Plus account twice. I assume that something causing these things happened when I did the system restore, as anything Spybot "fixed" should have been undone by the system restore? I have Vista 32-bit on a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. Please help!

So the build that you downloaded for CentOS 6.4, where did you download it from?
There are some versions of Firefox that may have been compiled by third party providers for specific Linux builds. Mozilla does not host these builds. [[Install Firefox on Linux]] is the reference to the official code for Linux.

Can you open multiple windows of the same Keynote presentation?

Like you can in PPT, where you can go Window > New Window, and see more than one slide at once of the same presentation in the large view. If there is any way to view more than one slide at time, in the large view, please let me know.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

However, it shows as if i have opened 3 windows if i do this: 1) the original window with the inbox -that i cannot use- 2) the window where I am writing the new message and 3) the new viewer window with the inbox. I use a website in my daily work activities that I need to have multiple sessions of the website open at any given time. Natively, I cannot have multiple sessions open in a single browser (separated tabs or separate windows) without one session taking over the other. Internet Explorer has a command line option (-nomerge) that will allow me to accomplish what I need. The target line of the IE shortcut properties would look like this:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nomerge

Wow, that sounds very odd indeed! What happens if you press Ctrl+N on your keyboard? Normally you should see a new Firefox window. If nothing happens when you do that, something is definitely wrong with your Firefox.
My advice would be to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the problem exists there as well. This article has all the details: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]

This looks like some virus or spyware. Scan your system for infection.
Or you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Firefox will not open multiple windows.

Just upgraded to Firefox 3.6.3. I can open multiple tabs in the open window, but I can not open another window. Possibly unrelated issue is the search bar not functioning.
As for the window issue, I've tried;
Ctrl + N
File [N]
File -> New Window
Rt Click Link -> Open in New Window
Nothing whatsoever happens with either of these attempts.
As for the Search bar I've tried to input a search and press [Enter] as well as clicking the magnifying glass with the mouse. As with the window issue nothing happens.
I'm not sure if these issues are related. Restarting does not fix these.
