I can't paste text into info boxes anymore with the latest version of itunes
Ever since I downloaded the latest version of itunes (on Windows 7), I can no longer paste text into the info boxes when I edit song information. I can’t paste by right-clicking or Ctrl+V, this is driving me crazy because I’m trying to add info on a Russian artist with Cyrillic letters and I can’t do it! I didn’t buy the song from itunes so it can’t be issues with Copyrighting although the same thing happens with songs from the store and every other song in my library. I can paste text into the lyrics section but that’s it. I restarted my computer after reinstalling the latest versions of itunes and Firefox today hoping it would fix my problem but it didn’t. Is this happening to anyone else? I hope someone can help me! Oh and it isn’t just with Russian, I tried to paste English info just to see if it was a problem with recognizing Cyrillic and still nothing pastes, the boxes just stay blank.
Itunes is annoying me more than ever. With the constant updates you’d think they would be able to improve all bugs but once one problem is fixed another occurs and it’s so irritating because I couldn’t care less about how my library looks as long as everything is organized in a simple way and I can sync my ipod without spending forever on itunes re-editing stuff and readjusting to updated layout changes. Apple’s attempts at making things look “cool” isn’t worth the F-ing constant problems which matter more! Okay, rant over

With the latest version of iTunes, my library screen has changed completely and I no longer have a Summary tab to select manual syncing of my iPod when I plug it into my computer.
That would be Manually manage, not Manually syncing.
Click the drop down arrow at top left the Show menu.
Then iTunes menu View > Show sidebar.
Select the iPod then you can select the Summary tab.

I used to be able to sync my iphone with itunes, but now when I plug my iphone into my computer it no longer syncs or even shows the device icon. Could this be because I have an old iphone and it's not compatible with the latest version of itunes?

I just purchased an iTunes TV show and it successfully downloaded. It is now saying that I do not have the proper version of QuickTime on this version of iTunes (10.6.3).
How can a show I purchased be incompatible with the latest version of iTunes?
I want a refund, but I can't even figure out how to request one through support. Super frustrated and long time Apple customer. After a day of trying, both iTunes and my Apple TV are telling me that the episodes of Scooby Doo I purchased are incompatible due to QuickTime. I still don't understand how I purchased something from iTunes that doesn't work with iTunes.
the exact error I receive when I try to play an episode is the following:
"This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."
Any advice would be great! -

Hi
I had my iTunes library on an external hard drive which has crashed. The data is unrecoverable. I've now bought a new laptop and I want to rebuild my iTunes library. I found a set of backup discs I created back in 2010 and although they don't represent everything I lost, they do comprise about 75% of the 25,000 songs in my library - so being able to restore using those would save me a huge amount of time.
The only problem is that when I load the disc, iTunes recognises it and even displays the tracks as a list - but I can't seem to find anyway of importing them other than manually importing each folder, which is only marginally better than having to re-import each individual CD again.
Previously when I've used the discs - i.e. the last time I changed laptops - I popped a backup disc in and iTunes automatically restored everything on it.
Is there a way of doing that that I'm missing, or has Apple decided, for whatever reason, to remove that functionality? I've Googled this problem and asked friends who are into Apple (the only Apple product I use is iTunes) but I don't seem to be able to get a clear answer.
Any help appreciated. It seems the ability to restore from backup discs was removed along with the ability to create them. You will need to temporarily install an older version of iTunes (e.g. 10.3) to recover the media from those discs.
See Win 7 OS,64 Bit..Going back to ver 10.3 as I wish to use the cdbackup/restore version..I for a previous thread discussing this.

A few years ago I had copied my iTunes, ver:9.0.?, from my old laptop tom my external hard drive. The music on it was already loaded onto my other devices. My old computer crashed andI bought a new one, put iTunes on it and kept it updated. The problem is I forgot to keep the iTunes on my ecternal hatd drive updated. I tried to open the external hard drive iTunes but received a error with something to the effect that there was a newwerversion of iTune. I was hoping to either put the external Itunes music on my device. How can I go about that now?
Type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.

Please help me!!!!
BEfore you try to Restore it, try a simple Reset.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first). -
How can I add artwork with the latest version of itunes?
When I try to add artwork to my iTunes, it doesn't work. I already tried the Find Artwork button, but it didn't find artwork for all my songs. Then I tried to add it myself. I added artwork to whole CD's, but it wouldn't let me add it if it was just one song! How do I fix this? Thanks!

Hi my and my husbands iphones are no longer syncing to itunes but have in the past. When i try to download the latest version of itunes it won't let me do it until I load and earliers version....help
No problem.
Okay ... Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does that install go through okay? If so, can you connect the phones now? -
i installed the latest version of Itunes yesterday and when I looked at my library most of my songs that i purchased lost there artwork and cannot be trnasfered to any device saying that the info cannot be located. what should i do ?
Plug your iPod into your computer, it will begin to sync. Now check to see if the playlists have been added.
If not, go to the songs tab under your iPod when it is connected to iTunes, Unless you have checked "Sync all songs (or something to those words)" you should have an option on what you can put on your iPod. Make sure to check the playlists that you want on your iPod. -
I have the latest version of iTunes. When I plug my iPhone into the computer, it never comes up under the "Devices" tab in iTunes. How can I perform a restore/backup if it won't come up under "Devices" ?

I am unable to sync my IPad with my new Mac Air. Dialogue box says I need latest version of ITunes and to go to Apple and download. at that site it says that the IPad already has ITunes so there is nothing to download?
You need to update itunes on the computer not the ipad.

I can't update to the latest version of iTunes - complains that iTunes10.7.dmg is corrupt?
Surely iTunes should be upgraded automatically? It always has in the past.
Typically a computer does not automatically update itself. This would be highly undesirable in my opinion. What if it was it started doing it just as you were going to do a presentation? I have never heard of iTunes automatically updating itself.
Why do I have to download it again?
You can let Software Update do this if you wish.
And why from the Apple website and not the itunes website?
What iTunes web site? The "iTunes website" is the Apple web site.
And if I do, wont I lose all my playlists, the info from my old phone etc.
No, you shouldn't but once a month somebody complains here than an update wiped their iTunes collection. Not sure I believe them since i don't see how it could do it, but you should always back up first.
I have just bought an iphone 5, delivered today, which wont sync with 10.6.3.
Correct. An iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7
When I try to upgrade via iTunes, it tells me that I have the latest version.
Maybe it is the latest version your computer can run with the operrating system version you are using.
At this point I am just going to say it is polite to leave this topic to answer the questions of the original poster (OP). You are facing a pretty different set of issues and you should start your own topic where we can focus on your issues and not get it all muddled up with the OP's. -
Why can't I backup my iPhone to my PC even after downloading the latest version of iTunes?
I tried to download the new i OS7 for my iPhone 4s, but during the sxtracting process of the download the program merely said "There was an error backing up 'my phone'." I already have the latest version of iTunes so I'm stumped on what the problem could be. Can you help?
Yes. I just solved the problem on my PC. Here goes...
Issue: My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1. You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite". This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3. Uninstall Mobile Me.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall Mobile Me.
6. Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application. I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll
I hope this helps,
Ron

I am trying to upload a recorded sermon onto itunes. The RSS feed, sermons.xml is working fine. I don't see any problems with the XML file. If I go directly to the RSS feed, I am able to listen to the mp3's. iTunes recognizes that the mp3's are there
