I can't scroll left to right using my mouse wheel. any suggestions?

It is possible in InDesign CS6, and frankly I would prefer it to the panning which I have used and is just not quite as convenient for what i am doing. I am scrolling through multiple pages not within a single page. it would just be nice to have the same functions in an "upgraded" version.

I've got my Spark List smooth scrolling nicely if I grab the scrollbar thumb and drag it. But when using the mouse wheel, it's jumping itemrenderer by itemrenderer.
Is there any way to get this to smooth scroll? I'm using a List with variableRowHeight = true.

I can't scroll up or down with the mouse wheel

My mouse wheel won't scroll in Firefox, but it works for every other program (including IE, don't make me go back to that!). I have downloaded the latest driver for my mouse and also tried changing the config in "mousewheel.withnokey". I never had this problem then suddenly it just happened, but only in Firefox. Any ideas?

I have Lenovo Thinkpad laptop and Lenovo optical USB mouse connected to docking station. Mouse wheel works in all applications except Firefox.
The solution I found: go to "Control Panel/Mouse/Wheel" (I have here some Lenovo application).
The first option "Wheel" on the tab has 2 choices: "Enable Universal Scrolling" (default) and "Use Microsoft Office 97 Scrolling Emulation Only". If I switch to 2nd option, then scrolling works in Firefox. Since Firefox is the only application that has a problem, I keep the 1st option, but add Firefox to "Exceptions" list. Now scrolling works fine.

Can i turn down front left and right using ddts decoder with the g500

hi want to get ddts 100 decoder for my gigaworks g500.when im watching a move i have to have it up on about 2.7 bars.to hear the center speaker then the action is to louad.i can turn down center and rear and sub but no front left and right.can you turn down front left and right using the decoder.do you still have to use the controll pod for the gigaworks if i had the decoder in or do u use the decoder to turn it up thanks plz help.

Unstable screen distortion after startup - scrolls left to right rapidly

My Mac Mini (2.0/2GB/GMA 950) will not provide a stable screen after startup process completes - the screen rapidly scrolls left to right (possibly right to left, cant be sure) and the mouse pointer appears broken up until I move the mouse to the lower right corner of the display.
I can get a menu bar menu to drop down, then move the mouse to the corner to stabalize, then use the keyboard to active available commands - but any movement of the mouse cause the screen to resume the instability.
this only occurs after the initial staup process completes - the startup icons display normal until the loging window or desktop is displayed - then the display goes unstable, scrolling horizontially rapidly.
This occures in any display resolution I can access, with alternate mouse & keyboards, and even without mouse or keyboard. Also occurs after changing back to original 2x512 memory modules.
This also occurs with a clean statup from the original installation DVD as well as a 10.5 & 10.6 installation DVDs which suggests a Hardware failure.
However when I boot into Windows XP using the BootCamp partition the system behaves completely normal - no display problems what so ever.
Any suggestions on how to narrow this down to a software driver or hardware? Any notices from Aplle that relates to this to a hardware problem?

Hi. After a 'hard shutdown' - such as pulling the plug - the boot directory may be damaged. It may help to boot from the most recent system disc DVD that you have - could be the 10.4 retail disc - and use Disk Utility to Repair Disc

If Disk Utility finds errors it cannot repair, you could try DiskWarrior

You can boot from the DiskWarrior CD and run it - or download it to the laptop and run it, from the laptop, on the G5 internal boot drive, via firewire TDM

Oh - and if you are on 10.4.3 or higher - if Disk Utility on the system DVD repairs the boot drive ok, you may then wish to run the Disk Utility > Disk Verify (the one on the 10.4.3+ boot drive) - just to check. More Good Luck.

I have a logitech mouse w/ a scroll wheel
I have always been able to hold down shift to get the scroll wheel to scroll left and right instead of up and down
and it's suddenly stopped working and I have no idea why
can anyone help?

I THINK this is related to installation of a new logitech bluetooth mouse driver
that stinks. a logitech driver should only control the logitech mouse. it shouldn't affect how other mice work with the OS

right and left audio channels playing different math audio signals is this

Example
Right channel -> plays the audio signal created by a math
formula
Left channel -> plays the audio signal created by another
math formula with adjustable phase control
I’ve included a VI with a working audio and math formula but
I’m not sure how to separate the left and right channels.
I’m using labview 8.5
I looked up a similar question on the
support board and it said” use an instance of the the Sound Output Write that
has a 1D waveform data type input (i.e. Sound Output Write (DBL)). Each
element in the array would correspond to a channel.”
But I’m not exactly sure what he meant. I’m using a formula to generate the wave file

Sorry it took so long to get back. Here's the new VI with it splitting out the left and right channels.
I'm using a Gigaport HD 8 output usb audio device but I'm experience clicks and pops. I increase the buffers
but I still get the clicks and pops. I know gigaport HD can use ASIO drivers which most likely would solve the problem but one needs to code in C for this which I'm not proficient in. Can someone recommend a work around to prevent this clicks and pops, can I somehow change my VI to fix this? Does anyone have a VI that will allow access to the ASIO latency properties?
I'm using labview 8.5
And a gigaport HD which is a USB audio device which outputs 8 analog signals (it is ASIO compatible)

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

I don't have a Magic Mouse, but there is probably a setting that enables and disables horizontal scrolling. Look on System Preferences Mouse pane.

Can't Download Images with Right-Click on Mouse

I can't download images by right-clicking my mouse, like I do on my PC. For example, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Dakota and look at the images of the flag, state seal and map near the top right corner of the page...
When I place my cursor over any of these images on either my PC or my MacBook Pro, my cursor changes to a hand, indicating that the images are hyperlinked. If I right-click on an image, I can choose a SAVE AS command on my PC, but nothing happens on my MacBook Pro.
If I left-click on a linked image, it simply zooms in, rather than taking me to another page. I'm using a small Kensington mouse.
This could be a Firefox problem. I think I recall downloading some sort of extension that allows you to zoom in on images, and I suspect it's more or less taken over. If so, I'll have to track down the name of the extension and try and zap it.
But I thought I'd check here first, just to see if other people have this same problem - or if you can suggest alternate strategies for downloading images.

Well, I found a novel solution - it's called Safari.

I just tried it, but I am using firefox 2.0 beta and I had no problems. Not sure what's going on. Have you tried any other pages or pics besides this one, which I don't think it would matter just wondering.

In the past I was just able to go into the mouse control settings in control panel and reduce wheel scrolling to 1 page at a time. Now i'm not able to scroll one album at a time anymore, even though my mouse control panel is still set to scroll at one page at a time. Its skipping two albums ahead now and I can't pin point to the album I want now unless if I click on it. I haven't used ituens in awhile so it must be something new on the last 2 updates, I don't see anything in the perference menu.

I can't use the keyboard to scroll. I need to keep my hand on the mouse, otherwise I'd never get anything done. Since I have no problem getting Firefox to scroll one page at a time, and I'm constantly jumping between 3 browsers, it would be nice to be able to scroll a full page at a time in Safari, just like I can in Firefox. I have an old powerPC G4. dual 867 512 MB. my optical drive is having trouble reading my leopard installer. I was going to try to use remote install but i don't have a network where I can connect both the mac and the windows laptop. any suggestions?

I'm just trying to revive my old PowerPC G4/ dual 867MHz 512MB. Unfortunately I am unable to install from disc since my optical drive, although still working, is somehow not able to read the leopard installer. I wanted to try the remote install option but have limited resources and don't have a network where I can have both the Mac desktop and windows laptop communicate. I read somewhere that I can use a crossover cable to connect the two directly. I'm still trying to see if I can get an external DVD-ROM as another option. Any suggestions?
