Your issue is different from the OP's. In the future, post your own thread to get answer to your specific questions.
For the OP: Go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock and set it to your preferred time.
For you: Create a backup and restore the device as new and test it to see if it still gets very hot. -
When using my ipad air it keeps coming off the page I'm on or app I am using and going back to the home screen. Also when using my ipad the screen will go white with a black apple icon in the middle for about 20 seconds then it makes a ping sound and goes to the home screen. Could anyone help please. My Ipad Mini Keeps Closing Apps and Returning back to the Home Screen?
Hi,
I bought an ipad mini at the beginning of December and i have had problems with it ever since.
For some reason i could be in the middle of doing something (doesnt matter what app or what i'm doing) and it will just shut down and return to the home screen so i then have to open the app again?
Its quite frustrating and i have searched the web high and low for other similar problems but i cannot find anything.
I am using the ios 6.0.2.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why does my 3rd generation iPad freeze on an app and then go to the home screen immediately?
Well, my new iPad closes the application and goes to the homes careen. This has been happening on my iPad 2 recently but then I bought the 3rd generation iPad and it does the same thing but more often, Can somebody tell me if this is normal and if it isn't can I send it back and get a new one? And if I get a new one will it do the same thing? Thank you sooo much!
If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in apps, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

My iPod touch just stops playing songs automatically.
When doing a google search it sometimes times goes back to the home screen.
Also it sometimes takes several goes before it will accept the charger!

How do you re-size a picture for the home screen? It shows a message "move and scale" but nothing happens. I pinch and re-size and then it just goes back.

SteveOnce you take a photo w/ your camera it should save the photo in your photos. You then have a few options. You an MMS or email the photo to yourself if then you can upload. Websites like facebook you can upload from your camera roll on your iphone. I supposed it really depends on the website.
