When I plug in my iphone 4s into my macbook pro, itunes does not show my iphone in the sidebar. help?!

Try unplugging your phone, shut it down, turn it back on, and then reconnect it. Also if your battery is very low like 1 or 2 percent. It may have to charge a little before it appears in iTunes

This is crap. I haven't been able to see my iPhone in iTunes for a few weeks now. Not too bad as I've not needed to put anything on there recently, but now I do want to put some TV on there, oh and OS4 as well. Any clues?

Have you tried anything in terms of troubleshooting already?
First off try a reset on the iPhone. Hold the on/off button and the home button at the same time. Keep holding them and ignore the side to turn off bar. The iPhone screen should go blank, and you can release the buttons. It should reboot.

See the red arrow at the top... there is your iphone, and you cant make it "look like the old style". Once you click that button all the info you want is there, including restore your iphone.

Connect your device to computer. In iTunes left Pane, select your iPhone under 'Devices'. Then on th right Pane, select Tones tab.

SyncServices has been removed in Mavericks, so syncing using iTunes no longer works (we're talking about contacts, calendars etc., not music).

Same issue here as I'm sure everyone else is dealing with.
iPhone 5S running iOS 8.1, iTunes running 12.0.1. Windows 8 PC (fully updated)
AFTER downloading iOS 8.0, previous syncs would partially sync playlist (not all songs, or just the Pic icon for video files but no video files themselves and would show overloaded GB storage while syncing and stop syncing)
Recent patch seemed to fix it.
NOW after 'upgrading' iOS and iTunes, making sure Apple Mobile Device Driver (AMDD) is installed and working, updating PC drivers, uninstalling, rebooting, and/or restarting multiple times and in different combinations for the last 3 days the following: iPhone, iTunes, PC, AMDD, as well a doing every 'online' fix/suggestion I can find, i.e, switch off WiFi/Handoff/WiFi Sync, everything the iTunes Help suggest, reset network setting on iPhone.
Currently - iPhone 'seen' on Windows, NOT on iTunes, Can open iPhone in windows to access photo folders, whenever you plug in the Lightning USB it asks the "Trust" question were all familiar with and nothing!
APPLE- Millions of your Customers complaints are falling on deaf ears. This is an issue that seems to get a little worse each iOS update that affects all previous models of phone. DO SOMETHING! SAY SOMETHING!

Go job on troubleshooting your issue so far. Continue troubleshooting with the steps in the article below to get your iPhone to show up so you can sync. It will have you check the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed properly.

Had a 4s and now have a 5 iphone. Backed up 4s onto computer and now when I try to sync 5 iphone it does not show up on itunes.
Last night it was showing but couldn't use the restore button.

Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
Note: If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices require USB 2.0 to function properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, refer to the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
Restart your Mac.

After updating OS to 10.9.3 iTunes can't see my iPhone over Wi-Fi.

After updating OS on my Retina MacBook Pro to Mavericks 10.9.3 with iTunes 11.2 I succesfully transfer one album over Wi-Fi to my iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.1.
Then I decided to transfer another, but when I drop the albums to iPhone on my iTunes,
iTunes start to Looking for iPhone and the phone dissapeard.
I tried to restarting the iTunes and the problem was same. First I saw iPhone connected but when tried to transfer music it dissapeard same way.
I tryed to restart my MacBook but from there can't see my iPhone anymore.
I checked that the MBP and iPhone are on same network.
Thanks for any tips.
