I can't see the double arrows to access to full screen mode

I have a imac (the pretty big one) with OS 10.7 and i can't see the double arrows to access to full screen mode in any application. Even Safari or other native software don't work. Did anyone have a clue for me please ?
The combiantion Ctrl-Cmd-F doesn't work neither.
I have a macbook air with the same OS and it works perfectly.
Thanks in advance.
Alan

Ok, that didn't work and only closed out this window in discussions. After it closed this one I tried again doing the same but nothing. Makes sense though because if it closed this one out it would close everything else out on my desktop too. This is like a giant screen saver. All my other .jpg icons are still on my desktop over the top of this big pic. Is it possible this is what it is, just a screensaver? I did the same with another pic from the same website and it didn't do this. I clicked on my mouse to save a pic to the desktop and this monstrous thing appeared.  My dock is still there and the top bar that has the apple, Safari, edit, etc., but not anything else that you would normally click on to close a window.

  • Can I change the transition animation in Preview's full-screen mode?

When moving through a PDF file in Preview's full-screen mode, the pages slide off to the left/right when using arrow keys (up when using the space bar). I discovered that I can skip this animation by holding down the option key when I hit the arrow key, or by using a four-finger swipe.  But I'd like to use my remote to advance pages in the PDF, and I'd like to get rid of the transition animations permanently.  Is there a way to customize the transition animation preference? I don't see anything in the Preferences to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

Just as an update, Ralph explained (here) that in Snow Leopard, the iChat application no longer gets it's speed values from QuickTime.

  • I can't see the song time in my now playing screen

  • Dragged the line tween message list and preview pane so far up that i can't get the double arrow to drag it back down; now the window is only 10% for mess. list

I like to keep my window about 60% message pane - above the line - and 40% for the open message. To see an entire message, I resized the panes with the double arrow. No more double arrow and it's 80% open message and 20% list of messages.
Also, since I have you, Can Lightning show an event on the monthly grid Without Adding the time in the box, or at least allow something like 7p or 2:30p, e.g. ? Thank you for what you do!
    Susan

Try F8 to get control of the message pane.
As far as the Lightning question, are you wanting to shorten the time so that more of the description is displayed?

  • How do I get the titles to show when in full screen mode

Hi I'm having a hard with my title showing when in full-screen mode for imovie.  It shows up on the edit screen but not in full screen. Why and how to I change it?

yours is showing all the time? mine only shows when my mouse is at the bottom of the screen.
However it also shows for me in non-fullscreen mode after i've switched to a different Space (in Leopard) and back. Have to go into fullscreen and then out of it to make it disappear.

  • Can't stop the double arrow from going constantly

I can’t get my blackberry 9630 V5.0.0.975 double ended arrows to stop going until it wears down the battery in about 15 minutes and then it is dead.  If I take the battery out and turn it back on it will be fine, maybe for up to a couple days, but at some point it will start the double ended arrows in the upper right hand corner until it dies.  Does anyone know any way I can have it stop doing this?

    Hello A_G,
    Welcome to the forums.
When you notice this happening are you using any data intensive application or using an instant messaging application? The arrows moving back and forth mean there is data being sent and received. Do you notice this happening in a specific location? It could also be that you are not getting a good data connection.

  • When maximized, I cannot see the bottom part of the window, for example, i can't see the "down arrow" on scroll bar on the right side. Is there a way to fix it?

This also means that i can't really see the website address when i hover over a hyperlink.

It is probably broken. You can try restoring it using Recovery Mode, but if that fails its time for a new phone. After all, it is 4 generations out of date. See: Recovery Mode

  • How can I see the "attachment" icon in my inbox viewing screen?

All I want is to see which emails in my Inbox have attachments included in them. However, there is no icon in the Inbox viewing screen. I can only see it after I've opened email. Does anyone have any advice on what customization I can use for this problem?
    Thanks!

    bhtrout,
Try going to the menu bar in Mail, click on View/Columns, make sure that Attachments is checked (click it) It should put a column with a papper clip icon at the top of your in box.

  • Satellite L655 - Can't see the FN button on top of my screen

    Hi ,
I have a L655 and when I press the FN button I dont see the help on top of my screen that I use to see.
Can you tell which of the TOSHIBA Help programs is the one that saws me the fn help bar on top of the screen?
    Thank you.

    Hi iznogood,
The FN bar that you mean is called Flash Cards. They appear if you press FN key or an FN key combination like FN+F8.
The Flash Cards are controlled by Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. I would recommend reinstalling both tools
That means remove both tools, restart your notebook and start with installation of VAP and then Flash Cards Support Utility.
You can download both tools here:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads
    Check this!!!

  • My inbox used to have a "split screen" showing inbox emails and the other half the actual message (that I didn't have to actually click on the message to see the content" - now it is a full screen - how do I get the split screen back?

    My

Grab the bar at the bottom (with the little dot) and drag it up to expose the preview pane.  If you're on Lion this might be on the right rather than the bottom.

  • The Dock keeps returning in Quicktime full screen mode

Hi all, hope someone has some insight as this is really starting to get to me...
when watching stuff in QT every time at some point the dock will reappear on top of the movie and i will have to cmd+F out and back in to get rid of it, sometimes it comes up within minutes other times it can take up to 30 mins or so... its been happening for a few months now... i have noticed if i have adium open with my contact list on auto hide to the side that it will come up with the dock but will promptly autohide again, where as the dock stays visible.
    Thanks
    Harro

I had this problem a while back when i upgraded from Tiger, then somewhere along the way, one of the updates fixed it. I recently did a clean format and created a new user account, lo and behold, it's back... This time with Adium X too!

Hi - I think this is related to the Babylon Toolbar
Right Click on the toolbar in the grey area this is at top of the screen - If the Babylon Toolbar is ticked deselect it and all becomes well.

Did you try to tap using three fingers?
Turn Zoom on or off. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom. Or, use the Accessibility Shortcut. See Accessibility Shortcut on page 123.
Zoom in or out. Double-tap the screen with three fingers.
