I can't Tweet!

Hi. When using the Twitter app, I can't post a tweet.
I get an error message saying
"Saved as draft. Error posting your message. There was an error sending your Tweet. It has been saved as a draft, please try resending later. (Error: forbidden)"
Here's a picture if you want to see that rather then the text: http://i.imgur.com/svvCzHg.jpg
This also happens when I tweet in the mobile site in Safari.
What's really weird is that I can tweet perfectly with my second and third account (I have 3 accounts), but with my main account, I can't tweet! That shows that it's something wrong with my main account, I guess...
What should I do??
I've tried this:
* Rebooting (turning on and of) my iPad the normal way.
* Rebooting (turning on and of) my iPad with holding down HOME + POWER for about 10 seconds.
* Reinstalling Twitter.
* Removing all my Twitter account from the Settings app and putting them back in.
* Contacting Twitter support (no answer...yet) (PLEASE DON'T SAY "wait for them to answer you", BECAUSE I'VE WAITED WEEKS AND WEEKS!!)
Please help me!!
This have happend like 10 times just randomly!
I can tweet.
*hours later*
I can't tweet.
*hours later*
I can tweet.
AND SO ON!
Please help me, I beg you!

I don't have another device available right now, unfortuanely... my PC is broken, and the iPad is the only thing I have now..
I've tried to tweet:
* In the app
* From another third-party app
* From the Safari browser
But it won't work! Strangely enough, I can still tweet with my other two account, but now my main account!
I'm still waiting for Twitter to respond! It's been weeks!

  • Problems using Twitter.. I can't tweet in Firefox... How to solve this problem? Thank you

Hi... My problem is as I say, can't tweet at all... I writte my comment is status bar and then I press button tweet,my status won't tweet...
    Thank you ,for help...

It's not just Firefox as Chrome is also experiencing the same problem. IOW it's a Twitter thing. We are lucky in that two of the most popular browsers (well, Firefox and that other one too snobby for W2K) are affected. I'm sure that's pressure enough for Twitter to fix it.

  • I can't tweet photos

I can't tweet photos from my photos app, the app store, or instagram. It says the connection failed. I have already checked all the restrictions.

    Hello lindseyc1019,
I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone. If you are having issues tweeting pics from multiple apps on your iPhone, you may want to double-check your Twitter account configuration, as outlined in the following article:
Use Facebook, Twitter, and other social network accounts with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
    Sincerely,

  • Can't tweet from other Apps

    Hello,
Hope you're all having a great week.
I recently bought a New iPad (32 GB, Wi-Fi only) and my situation is that I can't tweet from inside other Apps.
For example, when I want to share a YouTube video, the Share button offers me the Mail Link to this Video or Tweet options. Both work on my iPhone but on the iPad, only the Mail works (it opens a Mail message). If I press the Tweet button, the App freezes.
Same thing happens when I want to Tweet an IMDB rating. It freezes for a couple of minutes and then it takes me out from the App, no tweet.
All the Apps (YouTube, IMDB, Twitter) work perfectly, but I can't use the Tweet option to share from within another App.
Also, I deleted my Twitter App and installed it from System Setting/Twitter. Same issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Magias

    Hello again,
I checked Settings/Twitter from my iPhone and it tells me that Twitter is installed, I can see my acount, an Update Contacts button and an Allow list with several Apps (YouTube and IMDb included).
If I check my iPad, where the situation is, it tells me that Twitter is installed but there's no account... It has a User Name and Password box or a Create New Account option.
When I add my User Name and Password, a "Veryfing..." text appears above but it stays there. It freezes.
    Thanks in advance,
    Magias

  • HT3576 I can't tweet from the notification center, even if I don't use an emoji!

I just got the iphone 5 last week and not once have I been able to tweet using the notification center. I upgraded from the 4s so I know how to use it, and I've gotten really used to using it rather than having to open the app and go in and wait for it to load. But every time I try to tweet it says "Tweet cannot be sent because the connection to twitter has failed" I uninstalled Twitter and reinstalled it and relogged in, turned everything off then on again and it's still not working.
Anyone else know how to fix this? And don't say "hit try again over and over" because eventually it stops trying and the tweet actually doesn't send, it just lets you think it does.

Hi Donis, and a warm welcome to the forums!
However when holding down the C key the computer still boots off the HD.
Is Firmware password protection in Mac OS X setup...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1352
It would block usage of all the startup keys, like C, N, T, D, CMD+s, CMDOption+pr, CMD +v, Option, and Shift, as well as booting from anything but the Hard Drive.
The disk I am using is marked Power Mac G4 Mac OS version 10.2, however the read me file said it should work for the powerbook.
Some PBs, which exact one do you have?
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac.
Then click on More Info>Hardware and report this upto *but not including the Serial#*...
    Hardware Overview:
Machine Name: Power Mac G5 Quad
    Machine Model: PowerMac11,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (1.1)

L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB

Second I purchased a USB external HD for use as a back up and to store graphic and music files.
Is it Bus Powered or does it have an A/C power brick?
Did you open Disk Utility & see if it shows up there & Format it Mac OS Extended?

  • Can't tweet photos from my iPhone

IPhone 4S, IOS 7.0.4, with the free Twitter app.
Just tried to tweet some fotos about an hour ago, got this message:
    "Cannot Send Tweet
The tweet <insert tweet name> cannot be sent because the connection to Twitter failed."
I'm given a choice of "cancel" and "try again". Tapping "try again" sends the tweet without the foto, pretty much useless.
Have tried logging out, but the Twitter app won't let me log out. I had to delete the app and reinstall it. The problem persists. This is the first time this has happened in over a year of using this phone and the Twitter app.
I've had wifi switched off ever since Apple tried to push the infamous Battery-Killing IOS Upgrade down the pipe to my phone.
    Any ideas?

    What happens when you try?
How are you trying to transfer? Photo Stream, connecting to USB, iTunes?
What is your iPhoto version and your MacOS X version?

  • I am able to login Twitter but can't tweet anything on my desktop using Firefox' latest version. However when I use IE9, I have no problems using Twitter?

I have cleared cache, cookies and history and still doesn't work.

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • Just checking, you can't tweet what you're listing to, right?

Cause I wish I could.  It's not hidden someplace I've missed is it?

        Hi, harleygurl112-
This doesn't sound like too convenient when trying to send text messages! Are you using a third party application for messaging? Is the screen completely filled by the virtual keyboard? Please enable safe mode (http://bit.ly/n2EIBZ) and try sending a text in landscape mode to see if it continues its current behavior. If not, the issue you could application related, and if so then I suggest removing any recently downloaded or updated applications from the Google Play store. Keep me posted!
    Thanks!

Based on your first post, you have already done pretty much all that can be done as far as troubleshooting, and there is pretty good indication the issue is on your account (on the Twitter side) not your device. Twitter support is going to need to address this.

  • The tweet "..." cannot be sent because the connection to Twitter failed

I've been attempting to use the built in twitter functionality to post photos, however the title error message keeps popping up! I have deleted the account setings from the phone and reinstalled Twitter as suggested on the Twitter support blog for some iPhone issues - but still no luck.
I can add the account and verify it under 'Settings -> Twitter' and use any other Twitter apps without an issue, just I can't tweet from iOS!
Has anyone else had this issue?

My Tweets are posting properly from my IPAD Air, however, I get the error message referenced above when trying to do the same exact action from my Iphone 5S.  I try to send the Tweet and it says:  Cannot Send Tweet - The tweet "article name" cannot be sent because the connection to Twitter failed.  But when I take the same exact action from my IPAD Air, the tweet posts properly to Twitter.  Any recommended fixes here?

  • Can't post a gallery picture to Twitter

I'm not able to post pictures from my Gallery to Twitter using the Twitter app. I click the photo button from the tweet composition screen, select "Gallery," select the photo I want and it switches to the Crop function and gets hung up. I can (sometimes) move the crop lines but after that nothing happens no matter what I click. Eventually it gives up and returns to the tweet composition pane.
I am able to take a new photo and tweet that, but I can't tweet a photo that is already in my Gallery. That's the problem.

Yes, I'm using the Twitter app. I tried unistalling and reinstalling it. That did add Twitter to the share options in Gallery, but it still doesn't work. I just keep getting a blank new tweet screen, whether I try it from Twitter or from Gallery. I tried tweeting anyway, just in case there was just a problem with displaying the photo (sometimes happens in Janetter desktop), but the photo is definitely not attached to the tweet.
It's weird because if I start a new tweet, and choose to take a new photo for it, it works fine. The new photo shows up under the text box and gets tweeted as you would expect. It's just when I try to tweet a Gallery photo that nothing happens. Doesn't seem to matter if the photo was taken before the Twitter app was installed or after. It also doesn't seem to matter whether I enter text before or after trying to attach the photo.
I just tried again from Gallery and got an error message: "Problems loading the friends list." Maybe that's a clue? That's the only time I've gotten any error message.

  • How can I share a website's URL?

Is there a way to share a URL in social media? For example, how can I tweet a webpage from Firefox?

The option to copy and paste is currently not available in Firefox OS. Our developers are working hard to make this possible in the upcoming release version.
Thank you for your patience, sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for contacting Mozilla Support and choosing Firefox OS.

    Hi.
Can you tweet BTCare to ask when it was actually done ? It might also be worth asking if they inform the forum team, since they were the first to give details about the usage monitor problems in Jan/Feb.

  • Twitter Alerts Not Updating in Notification Centre On My iPhone

Hi, I am hoping someone will be able to help me.
I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. Both devices are running on the most recent iOS software and both have the notification centres and apps within the notification centre set up the same way. But all of a sudden I have stopped receiving twitter notifications on my iPhone. My account is fine and I can send tweets from the phone (tweeting from the gallery and tweeting from safari etc).
The notifications come through on my iPad as normal but the iPhone is displaying twitter notifications from 5 days ago but nothing recent despite having been sent many today alone. When I get a tweet sent to me, it alerts me on the iPad but not on the phone at all. Last week, it was notifying me on my iPhone the same way as my iPad. I get all other notifications on my iPhone and iPad as normal, Facebook, eBay, iMessage and email. All of those are set up in the same way on both devices and notifications come in at pretty much the exact same time, as usual.
Twitter has just stopped on one device.
Going in to the Notification settings on the phone you can see it set up the same way as my iPad. I have deleted my account from my phone numerous times, hoping that when I re-enter my account details it will right itself but to no avail.
I haven't done anything, it just stopped. The only way of knowing I have even have twitter messages or notifications when I am away from my iPad is because I get an email alert.
Is anyone having the same issue? Has anyone heard of this problem? Has something turned off on my phone that I am overlooking? Can anyone offer any advice on how to correct this problem?
    Many thanks!

I am bumping this because now they have completely stopped now on both devices.
I've have had multiple people tweet me today and yesterday and not a single notification is appearing on either device.
Again both devices are iOS5.0.1 both devices are logged in correctly to twitter. I can send tweets from iOS5's interface (gallery, safari etc) with no issues on both devices. But I am yet to receive a tweet notification on my iPhone (last notification is well over 10 days old) and now my iPad 2 (last notification is over 2 days old).
Neither device has had the twitter app in the notification centre messed with or turned off. Both are on signed in and sound is on, banners are on, "show in notification centre" is on as is "show in lock screen".
    Please help!

  • Facebook and Notification Click to post not working

There seems to be a problem with my facebook and twitter integration...
Facebook: I can't share a site and neither can I update my status..
Twitter: Although I can share a site I can't tweet..
Facebook and Twitter suddenly stopped working......please help!!!!

If you look at the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. It appears you are not the only two having this problem.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
