iTunes will only copy Apple purchases from your device, it won't copy music bought from other sites or that you've copied from CDs. Have you not got a backup of your content on, for example, an external drive that you can copy onto your new Mac ? That would be the quickest method but homesharing on itunes is also a possibility. If not then third party software will be able to copy and paste your files however depending on the file size, they may charge money for their service.

And deleting music from your iPhone can be done the same way or if your iPhone 4 is running iOS 5, you can delete songs direct from the iPhone one at a time. -

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -
I recently updated and restored my Iphone on a Mac. My music was erased, therefore, I am trying to sync all of the music from my computer into the iPhone, but it says that I need to use the original computer/itunes in order to sync, but it is the same computer and iTunes account. The error reads: The iPhone, "Name" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and a sync with this iTunes library? If I click "Erase and Sync," will it delete my contacts, apps, etc?

I can't sync the songs from my computer to my ipod touch. I have gone through the directions on the iPond help page and have not found them helpful. For example, I can't find the autofill button. Can you help?
I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. And I am still not seeing the Autofill icon on the bottom of the menu or anywhere else. I fear something has been corrupted here and I need to start afresh.

I have a pc and am trying to get my music through my iTunes on my computer. I didn't have any trouble syncing my iphone 5S but can't get it to sync with my 6. OS 8.1.3
I open iTunes on my pc, plug in my phone, then I click on the picture of a phone on the upper left hand corner of my music library. Then I get a box of options with sync at the lower right. I have clicked "automatically sync when phone is plugged in" and have also tried to do it manually by checking specific songs and albums. Every time I hit sync the box pops up that says, "The iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone. To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store choose Store>Authorize This Computer."
I took those steps and a box pops up that says "this computer is already authorized."
I have my recently purchased music on my phone that came through the cloud when I restored my phone. But I want my old music from CD's that I put on my iTunes library in my computer. I had all of this music on my old phone.

When you connect your iPod to your computer, is the iPod's battery dead? If so, it won't turn on for about 10-15 minutes (at least). Once the battery has enough charge, you should see the Apple logo, and it should start up.
Otherwise, see this article if you're using a Windows computer or this one if you're using a Mac.

Do you mean that you want to copy the music from your old computer over to your new one ? If you do then there are some methods described on this page for how to do it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
If you want to copy the music back from your iPod then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy your iTunes purchased music back from it. For music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) you will need a third-party program on your computer to copy it back from the iPod - there are some programs listed half-way down this page : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 -

X1 Track Pad issue when used with ultraslim powersupply
