I can watch BT Sports & ESPN on TV, but nothing "L...

Can someone please shed some light on my subject problem, as BT helplines (for the last week) have been about as useful as a CHOCOLATE TEAPOT!!!!
What confuses me, and probably the BT helpline, is the fact that I can view old BT Sports & ESPN video stuff on my computer - but no "live" broadcasts. All I get is the error message err: VC025 
but BT's following steps to fix the issue don't work!:
First make sure you’re connected to the internet
Refresh the page and try again
Log out of the app and back in again
If this doesn't work, you could try clearing the app's data and cache.
Even more confusing, is that I can watch Sky Sports LIVE on my computer (which my son pays for) - so somewhere along the line it appears there is a problem with BT!
However, unless BT get their act together, I will be contacting my solicitor, as BT have taken my money under false pretences, as I've paid £49 (one-off BT Vision activation charge, plus £5 per month for BT Vision Essential). Also, my service was activated 3 days ago (at least 5 days after it was scheduled), and that was because I rang up to complain that I could not receive their Sports package on my TV - and was stunned when they admitted that they had forgot to activate their signal to my Freeview TV aerial !!! Also I am confused by what they describe in their billing ( BT Vision Essential ), when they have sent me a YOUVIEW Box, which I think I have correctly installed. 
Also being a small BT shareholder, I'm naturally worried about BT's future share price, when all the bad publicity regarding this blighted launch of their TV & Internet Sports service starts to make "the City" wobble , and BT's share price to head south :-( 
Any suggestions on how to get my BT Sports.com internet service to work, would be very welcome :-)

Eeeeeer...... tvwatcher, I can assure you  I'm not in a "black spot"! ......... far from it, as I am on one of the highest hills in South East Essex, and can choose from Southern, Eastern & London TV signals - get Norfolk's coverage as clear as crystal, and to add salt to your wound, one of my roof designedl aerials is hanging by a bit of string in the loft
And I hope you are not calling me a liar, as the BT Customer Service guy (who was English - not Indian), did say " We omitted to switch on your BT Sports & ESPN service to your surface aerial" Wot perhaps he meant to say, was "We forgot to switch on the tv signal (to everyone) in this reception area!"
If you could be on the other side of the fence during the day(with BT Sports Customer service), I'm sure you would hear many more "unbelievable" conversations, as the average wait time to speak to someone, must be an all-time record in the UK, since phone-in customer service was first introduced in ........... 1970's???
BT's C.S. teams must be under an all-time record pressure, as the product launch appears to have been planned on some remote Carriibean island, where the customers numbered ONE MAN & HIS DOG!
As a small BT shareholder ............. I fear the worst! However, no doubt some white knight in shining armour, will be hired @ immense cost, and ride into BT Sports' Customer Service current mayhem on a pristine white horse (a seasoned SKY TV man, for instance), and get things organised with a SUPER plan of action, with achievable timelines, so that all will be sorted in a couple of months .......... hopefully

  • The bookmark feature has stopped working, I can only bookmark my homepage (google search) but nothing else.

    Firefox is simply unresponsive when I try to save a page as a bookmark, I have tried clicking the star in the URL bar, using ctrl-D, right clicking on the page, and saving from the bookmarks tab. None of these options do anything at all.

    I have an iphone 4s that plays videos fine. Those same videos will not play on mu ipad 2, which is running the same os as my iphone. My niece has the same problem and she has the new ipad mini. The same videos will play on her iphone but not the ipad. Any ideas?

    Likely because the iPad identifies Safari as a desktop browser and the site tries to display the desktop version of the videos that require Flash. The site knows that mobile devices do not support so the site give a format compatible with the iPhone/mobile device.
    You can try using an alternate browser.

  • HT1600 I have Apple TV version 7.4.2 and we pressed on the remote the select button and the menu button at the same time to update our software.  The box shows white light, we can get the screen to select netflix but nothing will move and the box will not

    I have Apple TV version 7.4.2.  We read in a blog that in order to reset our Apple TV we should press the menu button and the select big button at the same time which we did.  Now when we attempt to turn on the apple tv box it with the remote we get a white light and sometimes we can get the menu screen but the remote will not let us move now will it allow us to turn the apple tv on or off.  If we just leave it alone, the white light eventually goes away.  I did unplug the apple tv and we removed the batteries and reinstalled them from the remote and that did not make any difference.  Please advise. 

    If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
    Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

    I have just tried to update my iphone 4 to iso 6, it got almost all the way through then froze.  the only screen i get now is with the itunes icon and picture of a usb cable end.  I can turn it on and off but not reboot or do anything else.  Further more the computor now does not recognise the phone being connected/disconnected.  Help please!

  • Can't update ipod - not enough space but nothing is there

    First, yes I have read the entire discussion a couple of threads down and it didn't help!
    I have a new 2gb nano and am trying to load songs for the first time, using Windows XP. Every time I try to update, I get a message that it can't because there isn't enough space. I restored as suggested on a previous thread. I checked all my tracks and they are all 128. All my tracks are 3-4 mb. I do have more stuff in my library than would fit on my nano, but under options I have checked to only update playlists I specify and only update checked songs. I only checked one playlist and even went so far as to only check one song. So it won't even upload that. Showing 1.9g free space.
    Any suggestions?

    I think everything should be current. I downloaded the most recent iTunes yesterday when I got the ipod; Updater I just downloaded for the first time yesterday, as well as the ipod software. iTunes software is version 6.0.5.20 and ipod software is version 1.2. Yes, my preferences for only checked tracks and playlists, etc. were still there.
    So I just now tried manually synching one playlist (the same one I was trying to do automatically before) and that worked fine. Which is some relief because now at least I have 70 songs instead of 0.
    Subsequently decided to try out the new FM transmitter, which also worked fine, then came back thinking I would add some more manually. Now when I plug the ipod in, I get the message that the device can't be recognized. Tried the other USB port to no avail, same message. I know my port works because I run my printer off of it.
    Arrrrgh!

    Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

    Currently i have the bt broadband/phone /tv package with a vision + box recieving standard broadband as fibre is not yet available where i live.My question is this.........I have a sky + hd box from when i used to have sky(im no longer a sky customer) and i would like to know if i can watch bt sport through this sky box so i can watch the sport in hd quality rather than the patchy picture i get now through the ariel.I still have my old sky viewing card in the sky + box but would it still be active/recognised by sky?

    You need to cancel sports on your box and then ask for it to be activated on Sky which will start a new contract. You need to do this by phone however as I found when I took this route,

  • Unable to watch BT Sport Live programs on my Mac M...

    I have a valid account and can watch BT Sport live on my daughter's macbook air, using google Chrome, but on my Mac Mini running OSx 10.6.8 it won't work on safari, firefox or chrome. I've uninstalled and re-installed MS silverlight, as requested, and emptied the cache of each browser, but no joy.
    1.  On safari 5.1.10 when I try to watch live, the screen remains blank.
    2.  On firefox 32.0.2 it just keeps telling me to install Silverlight, even after I have done so, and then re-started firefox.
    3.  On chrome 37.0.2062.122 it gives me a vcr019 error and err 6003, which the BT support page says means silverlight isn't working with my computer, which may be due to a setting.
    BT say that as it works fine on the Macbook air I have, that it must be a setting or settings on the mac mini and I need to refer to vendor but it was bought late 2009 so is out of support.
    Anyone had similar problems and can advise what to try?

    Check out this link for help with BT Sport online player error messages the suggestions for this problem is to reset your computers time and also clear the browser's cache.

  • Any APP available yet for watching BT Sport of SMA...

    Been a long while since I last checked, can watch BT sports on PC ... but obvious place to watch it is on SMARTTV ... have BT got around to prodcuing an app yet ? 
    Like Demand4 ITVPlyaer etc.
    It is frustrating having the BT sports channel in the channel list but not being able to access them, and as PC is in different part of house ... that is not an option.
    I know I could use a phone but don't want to tie another device to the TV.

    I don't see how it is a Logistical nightmare my SMART TV has Apps for many viewers .. BBC, ITV, 4oD, Ch5, Netflix,  BBC Sport, Amazon, BlinkBox, TED, GOLD, Youtube, Vimeo  etc.    These companies seem to keepo up to date with no isssues.
    If BT Sports wish to be taken serioulsy then provision of a player would be an obvious direction ... it is frustrating when BT tell me I get this free as a customer but cannot view it on TV without buying seperate h/w.
    The whole premise of SMART TV apps is that you can watch without seperate h/w
    A year ago BT said it was planned.

    We took 3 video cassette 8mm that were recorded in the early 90's to a place that burned the videos onto 3 DVDs.  When inserted to our Mac, the DVD player comes on to play the DVD. Opened Quicktime, but can find no way to import. Went to File>Open File>Sony_DVD_Recorder_Volume. Clicked on Sony_DVD-Recorder_Volume and it shows a file named VIDEO_TS.  Clicked on that and 6 files showed VIDEO_TS.BUP,   VTS_01-0.BUP,   VTS_01_0.IFO,  VTS-01_1.VOB,   VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB.  Where is DVDxDV?
