I cannot convert pdf to a legible word version.  Suggestion?

I have tried converting my pdf to a .docx and a .rtf but the document comes out illegible.  Soem words are close but there are all kids of different fonts and symobls.  Not very helpful.  ANy one else find a solution for this??

    Unfortunately since it is published works - generally those are security protected. Meaning the publisher does not want anyone to be able to edit their information.
    Do you know the source personally that you can request an editable copy?
    Also, there is indeed a 100MB size limit for conversion.

    i cannot convert pdfs to word files using either Adobe Reader or ExportPDF website.  Using Adobe Reader, I get "an error occurred while trying to access the service" and for ExportPDDF website, I get an "internal server error" message. I have the most recent version of Adobe and checked for recent updates  Anything else I can try?

    Are you still having trouble converting files? It sounds as though you may be trying to convert via Reader, is that correct? If so, please try logging out, and then logging back in. You may need to log out via the web interface at https://cloud.acrobat.com if you don't have access to the Sign Out button in Reader.

    Not stupid you! To, from PDF--it gets confusing!
    To edit a PDF file, you need to use Acrobat. Depending on how much work needs to be done to the PDF, it may make sure sense to edit in Word, and then reconvert to PDF. Acrobat doesn't function as a word processor, so while limited changes to the text should be fine, extensive updates may not yield the results you're looking for.
    That said, if you don't have Acrobat, you are welcome to try it for free for 30 days. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.
