Cannot Export any Video - BUFFER OVERRUN ERROR MESSAGE
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a new Ipod video and QTPro. After instaling it for the first time and when trying to export any video i got the message from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library ("Buffer Overrun detected!").
"A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."
I don't know how to fix this problem. Can someone help ? TkxI get the same message when play or exporting any of my Mpeg files, after a few seconds.
I got the plugin and pro for this specific purpose, but when I try to export them after a few % i get the same message: Visual C++ Buffer Overun. This also occurs when I've been watching the video for a minute or so.

Cannot download any videos to iTunes.
No videos will download to iTunes on my computer. I have tried all steps on the iPod and iTunes support sites...can't figure out what's wrong. Whenever I download a video, it begins to download normally, but at the end of the download, iTunes shuts down and I receive an error message saying that "iTunes has unexpectedly encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience."
This happens every single time I try to download a video, even purchased ones, which really aggravates me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
HP Windows XPTry uninstalling iTUnes AND quicktime from control panel>add and remove. Do ing this will not loose any ,music or playlist.
THen disable antivirus, goto apple.com and download/install the latest version of itunes -

Need more information. What kind of camera? What file format does the camera produce when doing video? I recall from some old posts and responses that certain cameras do not produce compatible video (the file format was correct, but such attributes as frames per second, etc. were not within iPad specs).

Press the "Delete All" button under “Browsing Data and Settings”.
Install Adobe Flash Player.

The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
Follow the prompts and install it.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

You don't say what your version of Windows you have. Assuming XP, go to Start | Run, type DXDIAG and click OK. Click the Sound tab and run the tests to eliminate a hardware problem first of all. If you don't hear anything, check your cables first of all. Also make sure "Mute" isn't checkmarked in your sound setup. You'll find that in Windows Control Panel.
Which browser do you use? If you have Firefox 4, sign up to the HTML5 trial @ http://www.youtube.com/html5
HTML5 is the latest video standard and doesn't require Flash player. Google is in the process of converting all its files to work with the new format. It may solve you problem. If you don't have Firefox 4, you can get it from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
IE8 doesn't support HTML5.
To clean out your temp files, go to Start | Run, type: CLEANMGR and click OK. Click OK again to start the utility. Tick all the boxes except "Compress old files" because the latter takes too long, and then click OK. You can run this utility any time you wish by the way.
The above steps will hopefully fix your problem. If not, post here again please. -
I cannot view any video clips requiring adobe flash player such as my facebook videos. When I download the adobe flash player nothing happens and it continually says to download. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I am using MacBook Pro O SX. Thank you.
Just to check, in the directory /Library/Internet Plug-Ins do you see the file Flash Player.plugin?
And after reading your last post I have to ask, did you install the plugin after you downloaded it? Of course anwering my first question will answer this question. -
I have a Mac 10.5.8 Dual. I cannot get any videos that I have stored to play. I have tried QT and then DL two out side players from apple site and then went to install and comp said can not be installed on this comp.
When Microsoft decided not to support Windows Media any more, they made Flip4Mac available for free. If you have not taken advantage of that free download, this might be a good time.
It may not completely solve the problem, but your Mac will play more with the free player. No need to pay for the Upgrades.

This error seems to point at a problem not directly related to the encoding. The message might be misleading but I read "Safari cannot download this type of file" as relating to the file type - the end of the name (perhaps MIME type setup, but let's start with the file type).
But... some web searching finds others say that iOS cannot download files AT ALL because it has no filing system you can access. Clearly (?) you just want it to show the movie, but I don't know any more than that.
Perhaps someone else has worked in this area. Also worth trying suitable iOS forum. -

i don't think you can use prepaid cards that aren't itunes gift cards for purchases in itunes anymore. if you don't see the option 'none' under payment options, then you need to add a card to the apple id. once you add it, you should then see the 'none' option and can choose not to use that as your payment method under settings > itunes and app stores > tap on your apple id and choose 'view apple id' > payment options
