I cannot download Lion form app store

Every time I try and download the program it tells me I cant completed purchase because the program needs 2 gigs. I have over 245 gig free on my mac what is up with that.

I can purchase Apps or purchase songs from iTunes; just cannot download. I get "An error has occurred" (on Purchases Page) I get an alert when downloading from the App Store to go the Purchases Page and try downloading.
This is on my MacBook Pro running ML. (v.10.8.2) I can sign into my account using my wife's MacBook Air and download all day in either iTunes or the App Store. I can also download with my iPad.
I really am at a loss. There may be more that I have done but right now I am burnt out and tired of this. Apple Support has been no help.
I would greatly appreciate any help.

Cannot download Mavericks from App Store - error 1004, then error 13.

I have previously downloaded Mavericks 10.9.5, but now I cannot a second time. When I attempt to download, I get an error code 1004..hitting cancel gives me error 13. Yosemite will download, but I don't want it until the "bugs" are worked out - maybe version 10.10.2.
Have contacted technical support by phone and cannot talk to a real person, only the menu system..want a serial number for a Mac. Since my MacBook Pro is over 3 years old, says I must pay for a technical support session - $29 fee.

This advise (in theory) should work. However, there are no "hidden items", but there is a "manage" link
Clicking on that link shows me nothing other than 2 previously downloaded, and since removed, free items (free apps I tried but later removed).
There is no "hidden" Mavericks download, or for that matter, previously downloaded Mountain Lion.
(Which I also cannot download from the "purchases" page.)
There is a button labeled "Reset" which links to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading" which I have tried multiple times with no positive result.

Could not download Lion from App store after buying it... Forbiden

I Have the following error when trying to download:
The server gave an error during download: 403 Forbidden.
I can download other (free) apps ... Only this one not working

I have the same error 403 forbidden error, even though it is showing as purchased in my Mac App Store, but I cannot find any trace on my MacBook Pro.
I even went into an Apple store to try to get it installed today using their internet, but all I got is the same error message. Teething problems or something more serious??? Hmm
No doubt Apple will sort it out before long, but maybe they should have also kept the old disc option too, at least until all the OS downloading problems are fixed, 2nd Lion release / update? It's a new way of getting the OS, & maybe this option is not good enough yet.

Cant't download Lion through app store

I cannot download Mac OS Lion through the app store!
Following data:
MacBook Pro (late 2008)
Fully updated to 10.6.8
500GB free space
Problemdescription:
Download starts and goes on until 3.74 GB then the app store tells me the download has failed and it cannot finish it!
Console:
25.07.11 13:40:00 storeagent[852] ISStoreURLOperation: Expected bytes (812271975) did not match actual (964283543)! Setting error. See 9215068.
I have tried now for the 3rd time to download Lion (and my Internet connection is not the fastest one so one download will take me up to 12 hrs)
I have also treid to reset the app store (debug window). I have also checked Home(how to get the tilde sign on a german layot?)/Library/Application support/appstore but it was empty.
Does anyone knows what it is? I've never had problems downloading anything through the app store.

That is the full file, that is the size of the Installer. When I had these termination issues with the iTunes Store in the past I think that it was my ISP. When I got a new ISP with a faster download speed this issue disappeared to never return.
You might try a change of DNS service. The ideal way is to configure your modem/router with DNS service, but often settings in System Preferences/Network on your Mac will override the router settings.
Try either of these;
OpenDNS
208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Google Public DNS
8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

Trying to download Lion from App Store error 100

I have been trying to download Lion all day and get the 100 error - please try later.
Logged out of the App Store and rebooted Mac, but still get the error.
Whats Wrong?

I haven't been able to download anything from the Mac App Store. I've tried a few things to help with troubleshooting, and this is what I've gotten so far:
- I cannot download anything when I use my computer
- I cannot download anything, even if logged into another user (it is not limitted to my account)
- I can download things if I'm logged into my account on another computer
- Internet connection is not the issue, as I have tried many internet signals
I don't have any firewalls or anything like that.

I fixed it by turning my computer off and on again.
Go figure, I've been trying to fix this for weeks.

Cannot download anything from app store

I have looked through posts on this subject and nothing has helped me yet...
Running lion on a brand new macbook pro and keep receiving this message when attempting to download even free apps:
"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
It appears right after typing in password to apple id.
I came back over 12 hours later and still got that message. Tried restarting and still the message...
ideas?

here is a solution for someone that I found (If you don't have a second AppleID, try creating a new one):
"I was trying to download an App from the Mac OS X App Store. When I put in my password and clicked Sign In, instead of downloading and installing the application this message came up:
There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)
Luckily I have more than one Apple ID, so I just deleted my email address from the left text field and put in my other email address, put in my password or that one and clicked Sign In again. It worked fine."

Downloading Lion. App Store Issues?

So if the App. Store Icon is missing from my apps folder does that mean I can"t download anything from the app store? I've been trying to download Lion with no success?

Which Mac OS X do you have installed? You need to be running v10.6 Snow Leopard to install the Mac App Store.

Cannot download Mavericks from App Store

Hello to all,
I just want to download OS X Mavericks from App Store and I get a simple error message:
"We could not complete your purchase.
OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer."
And the "Learn More" button points me to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
I am doing this from my brand new Mac Book Pro 13'' Retina (Late 2013), running Mavericks 10.9.1.
My objective is to install Mavericks on my Mac Mini (a system bought at the beginning of 2013), whose original harddrive was replaced with an SSD. That is the reason I just want to do a fresh install on it.

Hi Thomas,
I should boot a Linux distro from USB just to erase the disk, although I would expect that as an option to be provided during the setup of the Mac OS X installation process.
Anyway, meanwhile I am following this guide here: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/apple-in-the-enterprise/how-to-create-a-bootabl e-usb-to-install-os-x-mavericks/.
While writing this response, I manage to follow the whole article and the result is successful for now: right now I am in the process of installing the Mavericks. Interesting is that after booting from the USB I also got "Your computer restarted..." error, but after that the reboot started the installation process. Then I manage to erase the SSD drive using Disk Utility provided during installation.
Well... 5 minutes left. :-)

Cannot download Spotify from App Store

I cannot find or download Spotify App in App Store in Denmark for my IPad3.

If you are now in Denmark with a valid Danish billing address then you will need to change the address on your account and your billing info to your new details - which you might be able to do (I've never needed to do it) either by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and doing View Apple ID, or on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account. If you still have a balance on your account then that will need to be used up first (or you can contact iTunes support and see if tey can remove it for you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page)

Trying to download Lion trought App store, it downloads and it asks for account login and it installs again it never shows installed it always shows installing. this is the third time it's installing. Am I doing something wrong?

Can't download Lion from app store or anywhere else

When I search for OS X Lion in the app store as directed on Apple's site, all I get are some related books and a few random apps -- not the system software itself. When I click the "upgrade to Lion" buttons on Apple's site, I get a message saying Safari can't open the page because it doesn't recognize an address starting with "macappstore." I get a similar message when I use Firefox. The whole thing is very circular; the upgrade buttons lead nowhere, and the app store doesn't seem to sell Lion. Any ideas as to what's happening, or, more important, where I can buy Lion online? Thanks.

You don't use Safari to open the MAS - it is in application in your Applications Folder and should be in your dock as well. Looks like this:
If you launch that app, you will find Lion.

I can't download Lion from App Store - says an error has occured. Have rebooted and contacted Apple support. Can anybody help?

Every time I try to download Lion, the download, the download appears to start, but then stops, saying an error has occured, with nothing downloaded, and the App icon disappears from the dock.

same problem and precisely with the OS X lion up to date program.
I called apple but they said there's nothing they can do for now. there are many problems they are trying to resolve and one of them is the up to date program.
the only solution available they said is to wait. but they didn't specify for how long.
One would think that they'd test their solution well when they took the decision to make the OS available only though the appstore or at least offer a back up solution should people be unable to obtain it like it is the case for us.
