Please try clearing cache and cookies. If that doesn't help you can try disabli9ng add-ons and see if it help. [[Safe Mode]] is to disabled add-ons.

It's a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder, check the utilities folder as this is a common one for it to disappear into. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I recently purchased Windows 8 laptop and installed Office 2013. I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to the new PC, I got iTunes to import it and sync it to my iPod (3rd gen). However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Contacts

I recently purchased a Windows 8 laptop and istalled Office 2013. I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to my new PC I got iTunes to import it, and then synced it to my iPod (3rd gen.) However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Calendar or Contacts with my iPod. When I try it crashes Outlook. iTunes continues to try to sync, but when it finishes my Calendar and Contents are empty (ERASED!). I have de-installed and re-installed iTunes (according to Apple's instructions), repaired Office 2013 and Outlook, scanned for viruses (etc), cleaned out temp folders, defragmented, etc., etc., etc. Has anyone seen this before, and does anyone know houw to fix it? (HELP!)

I have moved my itunes files numerous times to new computers as I get one. This last time I had everything running off an external drive, to conserve hard drive space on computer and hopefully from computer failure. I need to move library over to new computer and get away from old computer that has Windows XP to the computer with windows 7. After installing itunes on new computer and plugging in external to new computer, it finds all music and movies, etc., however, I can't seem to find the file that has the playlist info, play count, and to see where the backups of my iphone(s) are. I have been working at this for days to no avail. It may be right in front of my face but can't see where to find it. HELP!!!!

"cannot find file" after formatting and moving!!

Wanted to have iTunes library included in Time Capsule backup. So had to reformat external hardrives where all my songs are from Windows do OS. Copied everything on other HD, reformatted HD with OS, copied back all songs. HD still has same name "MUSIC", but iTunes cannot find files.
Changed in iTunes preferences the location of files to ensure it searches in the right place AND also replaced with text editor in "iTunes Music Library.xml" file all links with new address of HD (now after reformatting to OS I found it to be slightly different despite still same name).
But iTunes still cannot find the files. Everything is the same as before, HD name, directory structure, file names, etc. ONLY difference is it all is on "OS formatted" drive. Don't want to lose ratings and playlists of over 15,000 songs....is there still a solution?

The moment I "drag out" the Tunes Library File, then there is nothing left there, and when I open iTunes it is empty.
That's as expected. That file is the database iTunes uses that keeps track of everything, so when you then launch iTunes, it's starting from scratch.
I can import the Playlists from the XML and they do appear, but still no songs, all is empty. If I try to reimport from the new location, then they "do not fit into the playlists", meaning ratings etc. are lost.
Then you apparently didn't get the XML file edited properly; it's not easy to do.
Why does the simple location function in iTunes Preferences not work?
It does, when used as designed. The preference is where new additions (imports & purchases) will be stored. It does not change the location for existing files.
Put the original library file back. Then launch iTunes, Get Info on a representative track, and look at the path to where it thinks the files should be and compare that to the actual path. Any difference at all will break things. If there are differences (drive name slightly different, any difference in folder names/structure, etc.; letter case counts), try correcting them in Finder and see if that gets things working again. If not, then you'll have to use the Add to Library command to get back your tracks which will lose all your ratings, etc.
Where does iTunes save the links to the original files so it can simply be changed?

You synced your iPhone with iTunes for the first time after how long?
And this didn't happen by syncing only. This means you transferred the backup for another iPhone or you restored the iPhone with iTunes. It is not possible for everything to be lost by syncing alone. All iTunes content on your iPhone can be lost but not any photos in the Camera Roll and the same for contacts unless you synced contacts with an empty address book application on your computer.

I cannot find my old bookmarks after moving my original c: drive to e: drive and installing a new c: drive. Please advise.

My old c: drive was becoming slow. I moved this drive as my backup e: drive (didn't delete any files) and installed a new c: drive. I can view and move all my files from this e: drive to the new c: drive. However, I have not been able to import my Firefox bookmarks. I have looked all over the hard drive and cannot locate them. The bookmarks + history are stored in the '''places.sqlite''' file. The auto bookmarks backups are in the '''bookmarks''' folder. I have tried uploading my blackberry contacts to Blackberry desk manager and tried to connect through to Iphone using Itunes but I cannot locate where the info tab is that I need to go into to sync my contacts? When I launch Itunes I just go directly to the music page. Also I do not see my device. It does sync my device when I plug this in but I cannot actually see the device. You should have restored the backup that was on your computer before syncing. Now it is too late. However, if you followed the instructions in the manual and set up an app on your computer to sync contacts and calendar to they will still reside in those apps. Photos in the camera roll are lost, however, if you had followed the instructions in the manual to copy photos from the camera roll to your computer regularly you can restore them to the photo app from the copy on your computer. Text messages are gone for good. Music and Apps should be in the music library on your computer.

I am trying to log in to my MSN Hotmail e-mail account, and after entering my login info, I get the error message that Firefox cannot find the server. Why not?

When trying to log into my MSN Hotmail account (@msn.com), after I enter my credentials, Firefox gives me an error message that "Firefox can't find the server at blu152.mail.live.com". I am able to log in easily from the same computer using Internet Explorer. I think this problem just started yesterday. Why is Firefox unable to connect to my e-mail account?

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Cannot find iTunes rented, unwatched movie after moving from MAC to iphone and back to MAC

Rented a movie and downloaded it to my MAC on 3/11. Moved to my iphone 3/12 in preparation for a trip. Never watched on iphone and moved movie back to MAC this morning. Now movie is nowhere to be found on MAC? Any suggestions? When I hooked my phone up to the computer, the "move" button was active and the movie showed it transfered from my iphone, so I can't figure out why I can't find it on either device now.

Will I get a reply? It seems Apple isn't as supportive as I thought.

IMac cannot find library after moving from external hard drive?

After transferring my library from an external hard drive to my new imac the library cannot be found by itunes, although i can see the content in the folder I selected in advanced preferences and the content appears to br there

In Preferences set the loaction of the library that should do the trick.
I have about 1TB of content on an external drive and it works sweetly ( drive needs to be turned on before launching iTunes ).
