I cannot set up my emails it keeps saying This account may not be able to send or receive emails do you still want to say, what am I doing wrong?
I am trying to set up my emails - and when I sent a test it went to my old IPhone - when I re put all the information into my new phone it says This account may not be able to send or receive emails do you want to save.
What am I doing wrong?

Well I spent many hours last night trying to get my Mail going on my iPad. I phoned Yahoo. After listening music for 3/4 of hour, they gave me so called advise, which I had already tried 25 times. I exchanged emails with Apple support team. They said I did not have support arrangement, so they could not help me unless I buy one time support that costs $30.
I can do emailing through Safari, but It is not up to current standard after I am so used to using "Mail" feature on iPad.
I am now in a desperation state, so I am thinking to buy one time support from Apple.
Just so someone might be thinking about Downloading Yahoo app for Mail, you should know it would not help me because my iPad iSO is 5.1.1. It has to be iSO 6.0 or higher. So I thought rather than spending $30 on one time support from Apple, I just trade in my iPad to get newer iPad.
Is there anyone out there who might save me $30? Thank you everyone for thinking about my problem. BcCanip

Today I received the same message but have 4.6gb available from a total of 5.0gb. I also received the same message when i first set up my icloud account and icloud was virtually empty. Unfortunately the only way i can see to contact apple is to pay for a telephone call. If anyone knows what is going on i would appreciate knowing.

You can first try to login to your web mail and check if you can send/receive emails. If so, you can regard it as a temporary alternative to view your emails.
In addition to Clark Kent's suggestion, you can also try to temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall and then check the issue again.
Also try to recreate your send/receive settings file to check if it helps. To do this, navigate to
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook, renaming the srs-file (<profilename>.srs) to .old when Outlook is closed. Then, restart Outlook and test the issue again.

you are under warranty, so I suggest you make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store and have them look at it. Sometimes the charger plug is faulty. -
I can open my hotmail address and download emails but cannot reply or forward. When I try to do so I just get a blank when try to type a reply.
The new version of Hotmail requires at least Firefox 3. Unfortunately Firefox 3 will not run on your version of Windows. You could use IE 6 to access Hotmail, or another option is to set up POP3 access via an email program.

Okay, so I wanted to burn a CD to play on players in the house. The songs on my playlist are from CDs that I own and imported into my iTunes. Here are the steps I've taken:
1. I created a playlist
2. Selected File > Burn Playlist to Disc...
3. My Burn Settings are as follows: Maximum Possible Speed (I have tried all the other speeds as well with the same result), Audio CD (No gaps between songs), Use Sound Check is selected, Include CD Text is selected (I have also tried unselecting these two options).
4. Then I clicked Burn
5. Within a couple of seconds "Cancelling Burn" shows up in the window at the top of the screen, and a box pops up that says: The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4251).
I have tried different CDs, I have changed all the settings in the Burn Settings box, and I get the same result over and over again. I researched the error 4251, and it refers to a problem with importing songs from a CD. This is totally irrelevant since I'm not trying to import, I'm trying to burn. This is a blank CD, and it is a CD-R. These CDs are off a tower I purchased less than a month ago, and have had absolutely no problem burning other things to these CDs. I really don't want to have to re-import these songs to Windows Media Player or another application just so I can burn what I want onto a CD, but this is almost the point I am at.
iTunes certainly isn't helping me much at this point, and I would appreciate any feedback into what I am possibly doing wrong in trying to create a CD.I have Windows 7 on a Dell. Open and play iTunes in the compatability mode and use Windows XP (service pack 2). Disregard any messsages to disable the compability mode. This has worked for me. I have also reinstalled iTunes and played with burn speeds etc. These ideas did not work. Compatability mode works.

Use the gmail app - only that app supports push. Push does not work with the built-in Mail app for gmail.

Not been able to send or receive emails the whole day and still cant -11pm now !
Had remote assistance helping from Newcastle earlier as when trying to receive or send it keeps asking for password -then it went to BT help and it told me it was the wrong password !?? Never touched it since it was set up -no,idea why it would be wrong ????
I then rang up for help -the guy took over my computer and advised me to change my password -done that -no joy . Topld me to wait and he would ring back in 20 mins-rang back in 40 mins and still not working -tried everything -still not working.
Then he said the servers were down and no idea when it would be working !!!
Still cannot send or receive emails and its now 11pm !!!
I had emails i was waiting for and not received .
What do we actually pay for and what do we actually get ???????

This sounds like one of the fleeting account problems that can happen from time to time, changing the password doesn't do anything and will not help.
Unfortunately it can last for a few days, so best to keep trying every few hours.
There are probaby a few reasons for this, including local anti-virus or other security programs interferring. Sometimes a router power cycle can help, by getting a new IP address in case the one you've curently got has gone stale.
Are you able to login via webmail ? (or was this actually via webmail rather than something like Outlook or Thunderbird ?).
If the servers were down, then it would affect millions of people, and there would be masses of reports.

Having take the advice to use a BT email address via Yahoo, iPad tells me that the a/c may not be able to send or receive emails
I set up a btinternet account by selecting Yahoo from the Add Account screen, and just had to fill in the name, email address, password and a description - I got the same send and receive warning and I had to log into the account via a browser on the iPad to 'confirm' it on it, but it then worked (though I had to go back and re-enter the account's password).

I am able to send and receive emails with UN-password protected documents, but ones that have are protected or have protected fields within the document I cannot send or receive. Additionally, I do not get any notification that the email was not accepted; BIG problem!
