I cannot tell you how frustrated I am with Apple right now! I need hel getting my ipad back and so far I am not getting any. What do I do when restore on itunes does not work?

I am so frustrated with Apple and my ipad2, which I have allways loved so much. While attempting to download and install the latest update, I got stuck on the itunes connect logo. I followed the directions listed here to restore using itunes on my laptop. It would not work and gave me several error messages. Now what do I do? I miss my little computer so much.

Reading some older threads from 2012 and 2011 it appears the problem was present even then. Part of the problem was due to people using multiple or different account id's on the various devices. In my case, I only have one ID and it is the same on all devices yet the iPhone and iPad are still throwing the same error when I try turning on iTunes Match. This is very frustrating . . . any help out there? Thanks.

If AT&T e-mail says it is unlocked, then believe it is so. Insert non-AT&T SIM inside and after backing up restore in iTunes again. Unlock gets attached.
You can check the status of the unlock request on AT&T web-site.

The disk needs to be properly formated & partitioned.
Format a disk
Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
Start up disk utility.
On the left pane view, you will see a list of all your disks. Click on the disk.
Click on the partition tab.
You will now see how your disk is currently set up. Fill in the information as appropriate. You should pick Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Click on Options...
Select Apple Partition Map to boot a PPC.

Music in iPhone 4 and iTunes not in sync. Have 2000 songs on iPhone that iTunes does not know about.

I have an iPhone 4. I recently moved to a new laptop. I have about 2000 songs stuck on my iPhone that iTunes does NOT recognize. I've tried several things. I've went back and forth between "manually manage music and videos." I've checked/unchecked Sync Music. I've checked/unchecked playlists, artists, etc. At this point, iTunes doesn't think I have any music on my iPhone EXCEPT for the Capacity. The Capacity seems to be right. At this point, without deleting every artist individually and manually, I'd like to delete the 2000 songs and start over. Any tips?

Updating is not suppose to wipe any media or apps.
It may happen because sometimes things just go wrong.

You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs.

Updating to IOS7 caused all files on iPad to disappear and restore from iTunes does not work

I recently updated my iPad to IOS7. Before doing so, I backed up the contents to iTunes. After completing the update, I found that the iPad has been completely cleared out of all files. .It is now completely empty and prompts for a new setup when I turn it on.
So naturally I tried to restore from iTunes. However, although the restore process appears to have completed, nothing changes at all on the iPad. It remains a blank slate.
Can someone please advise how I can recover my files? There are a lot of important photos I want to preserve. Perhaps I am missing some obvious step.

Trying to restore iPod, iTunes does not recognize it

My brother's iPod suddenly became unable to charge this morning, so we decided to try and restore it as that was a common solution to this problem. Well, whenever we plug the iPod into my Mac, it shows the charging screen, then turns on shortly after with nothing charged. I went into recovery mode with much difficulty, since the iPod would turn on by itself after it was plugging and showed the charging screen, and I have gotten the screen that tells me to plug it into iTunes.
I plugged the iPod in, and iTunes won't recognize it. I tried restarting my Mac, using a different cable and a different port, tried plugging it into the ports on our PC: nothing. The screen keeps telling us to plug it in, but obviously this isn't working.
We've tried both recovery mode and dfu mode and now I'm at a loss at what to do. Help please?

I have a new Mac mini and are using an Acer monitor. Unfortunately, the Acer will not show any image on a startup from cold. It does however work completely correctly when restarting from 'sleep' condition. Can anyone help? Thanks in anticipation.

I have a new Mac mini- changed from Windows XP. I have a peculiar problem. I use an Acer monitorwith the Mac which works fine when the Mac is 'un-sleeped'. But, if I have shutdown the Mac the Acer does not recognisethe start up - at least it shows nothing on screen. When I have shut down - nowknowing the problem, I use an old Samsung monitor to cope with the start up -it does so fine - and then put the Mac to 'sleep', then change monitors andrestart the Mac - the Acer is now fine. I am using the same cables for theSamsung and the Acer. The Acer had no problems with my old Windows system -from sleep or shut down. I posted the same question a day ago with no response. I'm using an Acer x193w. You actually don't have to switch monitors to get it to work. Just make sure you turn off the monitor after shutting down the Mac mini (actually push the power button on the monitor, not just let it go to sleep). If you turn on the monitor (push the power button on the monitor), then power up the Mac mini, the monitor is recognized. The issue didnt exist with Snow Leopard for me. It only started after I started using Lion. Hope this issue gets fixed In a future OS update.

i am having trouble with my iphone 4s the other night it started to lock and screenshot and say power off with out me even holding down the lock button this morning i went to lock my phone and the lock button has all of a sudden stopped working it will not let me screenshot or lock my phone.

The USB port on my 4th generation Airport Extreme does not recognize any peripheral devices whatsoever. In other words, it does not function at all. What can I do?

I have had my Airport Extreme for almost a year now. I have not been able to get it to work. It has never worked. I have tried everything in the apple manuals, my peripheral device manuals, and online help. My Airport Extreme Base Station has a completely dead USB port. The USB connector does have voltage and ground. Apparently there is no data transfer. I do not know how to test the data pinouts. I don't know if it is a software or driver problem, or if it is a hardware or wiring problem. My computer is a mid-2009 13" MacBook Pro. All of my external devices work well with the MacBook Pro. The USB functionality on the MacBook Pro has always performed without a glitch. It seems the problem with the Airport Extreme must either be a network communication problem or a hardware/hardwire problem. I bought the Airport Extreme to build a home inTRAnet network. I have a seperate 3rd party router for inTERnet. Contrary to what the manuals declare, the initial setup of my Airport Extreme requires inTERnet setup during the process. Even when the choice is made to limit the network access to LAN only, when I reach the end of the setup process, a prompts reads that the Airport Extreme may not function because I have not set it up for inTERnet with the WAN. Well, Dah... during the intial stages of the setup I told the machine to configure an inTRAnet only LAN setup. So... I went ahead and set it up for inTERnet and WAN. Either way, the USB port is not working. Then I set it up for the whole package, WAN, LAN, and everything. Still... no function out of the USB port. Any ideas?
P.S. The Ethernet works and so does the 802.11 tranceiver. The USB port is the only problem, but a major, major one for my needs. There is no peripheral functionality.

Okay so I figured it out. I inherited the Configurator already set up so I didn't realize that our former administrator was brilliant and set things up a little differently. To anyone else who finds themselves in this spot try this:
After you plug the iPad in and open Configurator instead of trying to 'Prepare' the device click 'Assign'
There should be groups of Users listed on the left hand side of the screen.
Select the group you want the ipad to be a part of, or make a new group. ***Note a group can be one person so this is a good feature for teachers to have individual app assignements for students.
After you select the user group click the little plus ( + ) button on the bottom of the screen under the second column of info where names and device serial numbers should appear.
Type the name of the person, group, whatever you want to identify that assignment by into the blank that pops up after you hit the plus ( + )
Then select the assignment you just made and tohe 'Check Our' button at the bottom. At this point a box will pop up with a window at the top listing all devices supervised by Configurator. There is a tiny down arrow button that opens a scroll down menu to the right of this box. Click that, then select the device connected by USB as the one to assign.
The name of the assignment you gave it will show on the lock screen now and you can assign apps and profiles to the device like you would any other device in your Configurator inventory.

What do I do when an app developer does not deal with a complaint?

Hi, am using a 16gb iPad, running IOS 8.1.3. I use an app most days, with in app purchases. They update regularly, but most of the times they update it causes problems, such as booting you out (up to 30 times a day). This has on many occasions caused me to lose money. When I contact them,they apologise, but have never refunded the losses. I would like to raise that complaint with Apple, but am not sure where to go to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Connect the Device to the iTunes library you Usually Sync with, open iTunes, click on the Device tab that appears in the Left side column of iTunes, Select your Device, then go to the Summary Page and click Restore.

The email notificaiton option is not working when I need a reminder of my password. No email is received. I can redeem a gift certificate but can not spend it!! Have also forgotten my security question so can't use that option

This is one route. Apple - Support - Contact Apple Support But I am wondering if your previous chat was within the 90 days allowed in the guarantee period ... a different situation entirely to what you now want. Why not Google Kindle to see if your interests appear there.
