Mobile devices do not get "wired" to anything.
There are devices that will allow for connecting a mobile phone via Bluetooth to the base station which is plugged into the phone lines in the home. Then calls can be placed/received from any phone in the home.
There are cordless phones that do a similar function.
Search google.... this has nothing to do with Apple or the iPhone specificially. -

I tried installing ios7 via itunes. It took a back up of the iphone no problem, then installed ios7. When I went to restore the iphone the last back up was not the one done today. When i tried to restore it I got and error message 2003 which is not listed on the useful information list of error messages.
I would realy appreciate it if anyone could throw some light on what has happened and suggest anything that might help

Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on)
If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you're using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service. -
This has been driving me mad for days now. I updated to the latest version of Firefox, but every single time I go to any webpage on Tumblr, (my dashboard, my personal blog, anyone else's blog) I am bombarded by error messages saying "too much recursion." I usually get anywhere from 3 to 5 messages per page. I reverted to Firefox 34 and can now access Tumblr just fine, but then I am faced with a different problem. When watching videos or vines on Tumblr, they can spontaneously lag, jitter, or stop playing. If I try to resume playing them, then they might start playing but all audio will be cut out. This seems to cause some kind of problem with Flash Player, because after it happens on Tumblr, then it will happen on ANY video playing site I visit. If I try to watch a video on Youtube, the video will spasm for a couple seconds and then go to static and say "An error has occurred, please try again later." I've tested it out on other video sites like Blip, and they also cause audio and video bugs. Even if I close Firefox and restart it, the issue will not be solved. The only way I have found to fixing the crashes is to manually reinstall Flash Player (which requires me to reset Firefox anyway). This has been a tremendous annoyance, as I have had to reinstall Flash Player and reset Firefox about five times on any given day for the past week or so. This is driving me to consider dumping Firefox for Chrome, and I don't want to do that.
Okay, I updated my graphics card drivers just for good measure. I also started Firefox in Safe Mode, and there weren't any bugs. So I isolated the problem by turning on my extensions one by one, and it turns out that something with my XKit extension was the cause. I manually removed XKit and reinstalled it directly from the XKit website. Now everything's working fine again when I use Firefox 35. Thank you!

When trying to upload Version 5 update for IPad after the download is complete and the files are being processed I get an error message - 3259 which says the internet connection is timed out but in fact it is still operational. The download is unsuccessful. Why is this?
Try temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed.

Iphone 5 issues that hopefully have an easy solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it. I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already.
P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.Hey braswell4AU: I have a similar issue. I purchased 2 iPhone 5's the first day they came out. Black 64gb for myself and white 32gb for my wife. She is having somewhat the same issues as you have. Wifi is weak and keeps dropping the signal, and also her phone almost never has LTE. And we are in a very strong Verizon LTE area in north Los Angeles county. My phone has never had any signal issues, wifi or LTE. I have been researching the issue to no avail. I though maybe the white with the brushed alluminum may cause signal issues, but haven't found anything on that and posts about the black one haven't problems blew that theory up.
I have also changed the SIM card and the phone itself and still the same problem. I saw a post about someone getting their phone swapped out and the apple rep told him not to restore the phone, but to just set it up as new. I have yet to try it, gonna try this weekend.. But it makes sense! I, like you have 6 apple devices (2 iPhone 5's, 2 iPhone 4's apple tv3, and the ipad3) and have no issues running all my devices via router.
So I am thinking about the history of the restores and backups and my wife is the only one that went from the 4 to the 5.. Every other device was setup as new. So my theory is that he iphone 5 has issues when you restore from previous backups.. Maybe something a little different from the backups of the previous models create issues in the iPhone 5's?
Like I said, I'm going to give it a shot this weekend and see what happens. If you get a chance to try this before, please let me know if it works and if I try before you I will update you.

I cannot get the wifi feature on my iphone to switch on. I have just uploaded the latest Operating system but nothing has changed. I have reset, again no change. Any ideas?
If you have an iTunes backup that includes the photos you may be able to extract them from the backup using a 3rd party utility such as http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/ibackupextractor/

i recently upgraded my 4s to a 5s. the verizon store took my old phone for a trade in. i cannot get any of my pictures to download from icloud. my photo stream folder only has a small percentage of the photos in it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
That's possible if he didn't connect to a WiFi hotspot after taking them. I don't think the "Personal" Photo Stream uploads over Cellular, unless they changed it since the last time I used it.
If that's the case, then the photos likely didn't upload to Photo Stream and are stuck on the phone.
And you're not going to be able to get them back, either. -

That is because that sync ability (for contacts and calendars) has been removed. Use iCloud instead.

When I try to update my iPhone 3Gs thru iTunes, to the latest OS I receive an error message that says: "The net conection has been without any response within the limit of time.Please see your net settings or try later". I checked my internet settings and all is OK (I have not any proxy connection). I tried lots of time to do this update since some weeks till now and I always have the same error message. Please give me an answer about this problem because I cannot do anything more.

Joao Aguiar.Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

How do I view what slide I'm on out of how many I have total in keynote? I know on powerpoint it's at the bottom right of the window but I can't find it on keynote, nor can I find the option to make it appear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Your steps so far are OK but you may want to try:
1 Trash your user library Caches folder (House Icon with short name in Finder window (hard drive window)GOTO:House icon > Library folder > caches folder
2 Trash the com.apple.Safari.plist file in User library > preferences folder > Safari.plist as well as removing the library Safari folder its self.
3 you can selectivly re-install Safari 2.0 from your OS Tiger Install disk 1, (see Knowledge base article 301229 for how to just select the Safari Application) without doing a complete system Archive and Install.
4. Create a new Test user account on the system and test how Safari responds in the Test user, see if its a user related issue and not system issue.
5. Still no Safari response? have to do an Archive and install (not preserving user and network settings)article 107120
PS. Issue may be related to actual internet connection connectivity, power cycle cable modem and router or airport if using one as well as the computer(keep unplugged for 3-5 min) and plug the cable modem in and then the router/airport then power on the computer. Do the Airport Admin utiliy (applications, utilities on HD_1)update.
- do a hard reset of airport knowledge base article 108044(Express base) and 107451 (Extreme base)
- Check with internet provider for connection issues "cannot find server" ect.
