I got my daughter an ipad mini for xmas this year. I set it up under my account, but as she was using it. it seemed like it would be easier if she had her own account. I deleted my info and did a factory reset. I then set it up under her own user id and everything was fine.
My problem is....i cant access icloud from her ipad under the settings tab....it isnt highlighted.
I can sign on at icloud.com so i know the user id is valid.
Im not very tech savy and i really dont know a whole lot about mac products.
Any help would be great!

If you are unable to find the iCloud section in settings, navigate to Settings > iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts ,Calendars. If you choose the option to view it within Mai, Contacts, Calendars section and you do not see an iCloud account, then add it with the Add Account button.

I can no longer access facebook from my macair and when i try the following error message appears "unable to establish a secure connection to the server.

I have had no issue accessing Facebook in the past using my MacAir. Last night each time I would try and access the page, an error message would appear, saying that unable to establish a secure connection to the server "www.facebook.com"". The problem continues this morning. I have not updated any software or made any changes. One minute it was working, the next it was not. I do not have any parental controls; I have deleted the cookies; and I have reset safari. I can access all other websites that I have tried. I am using Version 6.0.4.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Now open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, restart your internet modem and router. Then quit and relaunch Safari and try Facebook.

Just updated my 2010 iMac to 10.8.2, purely to use iCloud calendar syncing with my iPhone and wife's iPad, now cannot access Facebook site at all from Safari on the Mac (...Safari cannot access the server www.facebook.com...), dont even get as far as logging in. Followed a few previous threads and tried reset Safari, delete cookies, clear caches but no good. Only Facebook is affected, but we can still access the accounts from our phones/ipads. Try using another browser.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

I did plug it into itunes and then backed it up to the cloud (im actually wondering if thats my problem)
then restored it from the cloud.
Maybe I should restore it from the computer (when its plugged into itunes?)

Cant access serviceability from one CUCM server to the next

If I log into my pub and serviceability, I try to access my other subs. I keep getting an error when trying to access the other servers from the drop down list. Although, everything is replicating throughout the cluster, I can log into another CUCM and only use serviceability for that one server also.
Im going to do a reset tonight on the cluster. the logs are clean and clear on RTMT on all servers. It's very odd. I thought maybe a security password would be wrong, but there are no errors anywhere on any server in the cluster.

Conditions:
CCMService Tomcat logs indicates the following error message when attempting to connect to other nodes in the cluster,
{http://xml.apache.org/axis/}stackTrace:javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Certificate not verified.
Workaround:
We have the following workarounds
- Accessing SUB serviceability pages directly
- Restarting tomcat on PUB ( once ) after the upgradeFor SNMP configuration where same Community string needs to be added or modified on all nodes, again using a Subscriber node instead of the Publisher also seems to work in this case.

Cant access facebook using my mac

i moved to China for 3 months in september 2012 and when i returned to the UK in jan 2013 my computer was unable to access facebook. I recently purchased a new macbook and bought the one to one data transfer software. Before i tranferred the data i was able to access facebook fine on the new mac but ever since the data transfer i can no longer get onto facebook and am experiencing the same problem as i had on the old mac. I have reset safari HELP!

Make sure your Date/Time and Time Zone are correct.

However when I try to access Gmail from my Nokia phone using the http gmail.com link Gmail blocks me. It thinks I am a hacker based in America and forces me to change my password. Please advise.

I cannot access facebook on my macbook. After using safari, firefox and opera, still doesnt work. I reset safari, empty cache, reboot macbook but it would just bring me to log in page then after putting my username and password and hitting enter, it would not show anything. Please help. It was fine for years, it's just this morning I cannot access it anymore!

Unable to restore bookmarks from XP to Windows 7 due to unsupported file type

Im having problems transferring my bookmarks from xp machine to a Windows 7 machine. I just verified that both machines are running Firefox v. 4.0.1. I was advised to save the bookmarks.html file on the xp machine and when I copied it to the Windows 7 machine. I received the error that it is an unsupported file type. Can someone advise on how I can get this done? Thanks in advance.

Im on Win 7 Ultimate and had Firefox working fine with messenger in the browser & could use the pop up chat box. Cant access files from Mavericks Partition

I have OS X Lion and Mavericks installed on the one SSD of my MBP. I want to access my music, pictures, movies and so fourth from my Mavericks Partition on my Lion one. But whenever I goto the Mavericks partition folder there are all these small stop signs on each folder, denying me access. I have tried right clicking and going to share and allowing all users access. But this doesn't work. And suggestions on how I can access the data on both OSs??

Generally, that's what you see when accessing files stored under a different User name. Are you using the same User name for both partitions? I always use the same user name for different OS X partitions.

I have reviewed support and found postings with this problem, but have been unable to rectify my problem.
Last night I tried to log in at facebook and was redirected to a webpage that said I was blocked and that
I should contact my network admin. I called my internet provider and they said it was not an issue at their
end, rather it must be something in my security settings. I have not made any changes in my settings.

I found a thread that instructed to go into certificates and delete the facebook certificate, however, I did not
find a facebook certificate. I also saw a thread where someone sadi this can happen when your date
and clock settings are incorrect. Mine are correct.

Thanks for assistance. I found the openDNS certificate, but do not know what to do. It shows as trusted. Just not savvy enough in this area to know what should be done. I went to my keychain access and clicked the repair. The repair returned a report showing some permissions were incorrect in my library/keychain acess and the next line shows those mistakes were corrected.
I hoped this corrected the problem, so shut down the computer and then turned back on. But, no...I am still blocked at facebook.
By the way, I do have parental controls but they are not on.
