I cant get pages to sync between iPad and iPhone

I have installed pages on both devices and signed in with icloud following all of apples instructions. I have checked that icloud is set up in the pages settings, however each device just keeps its own documents on them and they don't transfer over. Please help!
Am also have the same trouble with my contacts- they are both separate and are not crossing over even though I have turned on all of the switches I can think of. It is probably something very simple but I am going mad trying to sort it as writing my masters work on pages.

This might not be your issue, but I had the same thing happen. In my case, I was signed in to my account through my mac.com email addy on one device & through the same account, but with me.com as the domain name. Everything else worked for me, but I could not sync devices. You said that the usernames are the same, so this doesn't sound like it's the same issue, but just I figured I'd post it here just in case.

How can I get back to syncing my Ipad, and Iphone 4 the old fashion way

I have installed upgraded itunes, upgraded my Iphone operation system to 5.1, and installed Icloud. This is where the problems all began.
Icloud and I have everything (contacts, calendar events, photos) so messed up, it would take a Apple Surgeon to fix it all. Is there a way to start over and go back to syncing my ipad, and iphone with itunes....it was sooooo easy and all units were the same.
If I connect today, USB to computer and itunes, it will sync however add duplicates everywhere? I just wanna go home ! Removing Icloud from all three devices, Computer, Ipad 2, and Iphone 4

Pictures are not stored in iTunes.
Any pictures taken with the device, like with any other digital camera, are designd to be copied off the device to the computer on a regular basis. Via iTunes, pictures that the user chooses to have on the device can be synced back.
As Ralph stated, updating iTunes will not affect the media in the library. That being said, it has always been very basic to maintain a backup of important files. If you do not currently have a backup of your important files, I would strongly encourage you to make one.

Why won't Notes sync between iPad and iPhone?

I own an iPad and iPhone and use MobileMe. My contacts, calendar, mail and iDisk all sync properly but I can't get Notes to work.
On my iPhone Notes, I have the option of selecting the following accounts:
From my PC
MobileMe
My 3 different email addresses
I have placed my notes under both "From my PC" and "MobileMe."
My iPad doesn't even give me the option to select the various accounts in the same way the iPhone does.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I couldn't find any other topics that are having problems similar to mine.

I purchased my ipad at a Apple store and the salesman sold me the mobileme convincing me that everything including Notes would sync in the clouds! I still cant understand why we're paying for something that doesn't yet work. This is unacceptable. I just want my NOTES to seamlessly sync between my iphone, ipad and mobileme just like everybody else. Is this too much to ask or expect? Besides, isnt what thousands of paying mobileme subscribers expect.
I want my NOTES to be identical on all platforms and not have to check my mail accounts. As far as my Notes taken with my Ipad, they don't sync anywhere and spent endless hours trying to figure it out only to find out that the sync feature is not yet available for the Notes on my ipad. Thanks Apple! You succeeded to mislead me and taking my money in advance. How long do we have to wait for this to be resolved? We have the right to get a truthful answer and don't appreciate being fooled.

HT204053 calanders do not sync between ipad and iphone

I have my wife's hand me down 1st generation Ipad with 4G and a 4Gs iphone but my calanders do not sync between the phone and the ipad.
My PC has icloud installed and turned on and my ipad and iphone have the cloud turned on.
All three pieces have current software.

If you mean photo stream, go to Settings>iCloud on both devices and sign into iCloud account with the same Apple ID, then turn photo stream to On. After that, new photos added to the camera roll will be uploaded to photo stream when the camera app is closed, it is connected to wifi and has at least 20% battery life remaining. They will appear on your other device in the my photo stream album.

IMessage not syncing between iPad and iPhone.

My mom got an iPad and she is having trouble with iMessage between her iPad and iPhone. On my iPad when I go to messages settings and it shows how I want to iMessage, it shows my cell phone number first then my email address second. So when anybody iMessages me I get it on both my iPhone and iPad. On my moms iPad in the messages settings it's showing she sends and receives iMessages through her email. Her cell phone number associated with her apple id isnt showing up. When she gets an iMessage its only showing up on her iPhone. Not her iPad. How do I fix this? I honestly don't know how I did mine. I think it did it automatically.

If you go on the iPad and look at Messages in Settings, what do you see in Send & Receive? You might try turning off Messages and then wait a minute and turn it back on. If you log in with the same Apple ID, it should automatically populate the phone number. Then check the phone and see if you can see in Settings>Messages that you have Text Message Forwarding.

The updated Pages App. Documents sync between ipad and iphone, but only open on ipad. When I try to open docs on iphone, a message comes up saying "Cannot open document."

My iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S automatically updated my Pages App, which I used all the time. It did sync all my documents between the two devices but it will not allow me to open docs on iPhone, only on iPad.
That's never happened before. I am just now updating my phone (4S) to iOS 7.0.3. Maybe that will do the trick?

Thanks very much for the instructions. I encountered this problem this morning myself and the recommendation fixed the problem immediately. When things like this happen with iCloud and Pages it makes me wonder if I might be better off using something else, having just recently had to fix the problem that the current Pages can't read documents I created with a much earlier version until they were "upgraded" by an interim version.

Reminders NOT syncing between ipad and iphone

About to pull my hair out. I have tried so many differnent combinations to get this to work (after reading other posts). Original problem was that I could update from iphone and the new remnders would then be on the icloud calendar, but not on the ipad. Finally, after reading other posts, stopped reminders from both devices and cleared the ones on off my iphone only. They went away on the cloud and were never on the ipad.
I then enabled reminders on the ipad. Most merged to the cloud, but it erased one whole list of reminders while keeping the list name. Can now see the remaining ones on the cloud and ipad. Reenabled on the iphone and can now see them there too.
Went to rebuild the ones that "disappeared" from the ipad. All are entered and they ONLY show on the ipad - not on the cloud nor iphone.
The list name of the ones that disappeared is the same name of a calender. From the cloud, I changed the name of that list. A few seconds later, the name changed on both devices.
Communication is happening, but the new items in that now renamed list are still not on the cloud and, subsequently, not on the ipone.
HELP!!

The tasks that I'm attemptign to sync are actually through an Outlook exchange server. Besides that, I sync everything through iCloud.
The only time recently that I've synced with my computer is when I updated to iOS 6, and a few times recently, as I've also lost the ability to wi-fi sync for soem reason.

Cannot get messages to sync between mac and iphone

Just upgraded to the 5s, my iMessages now has my old Apple ID stored (thought the rest of the phone has the current apple ID) and will not let me change it to so it syncs properly with my Mac (using the up to date ID). Every time I try to get messages to send through the Apple ID, it tries to make me sign into the old ID, but does not give me a chance to change to the current ID. Any advice on how to do this?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

I was just looking at this again and noticed something strange.
Under the iCloud section of the Settings on my iPad, I don't have a "Documents and Data" option. Essentially, every time I use a program that wants to access iCloud for documents, that program's individual settings are reset to not use iCloud.
Any thoughts?

Sync between iPad and iPhone stopped with iPhone5

Since I upgraded to an iPhone5, my new iPad mini and the phone don't sync email. I noticed that the iPad uses the me.com address for my account while the phone transferred the old mac.com address which has been in all my phones. Could this be the reason? All tabs are turned on for syncing...help?

Good idea but it didn't work. My iPad still can't see imap messages sent from iphone and now contacts made or modified on phone not visible there either. Both are set to sync with icloud. I'll try rebooting both...

Since updating to IOS7 my calendars are not syncing between iPad and iPhone...

Any suggestions or advice? I have entered calendar details and appointments on my iPhone, and they are not on my iPad... When I look elsewhere (through my work I use Exchange and all are synced) many of my appointments seem to be there twice... though still not on my iPad. Thanks!

Not all ibooks syncing between ipad and iphone

I am trying to sync about 1500 ibooks from my ipad mini to my iphone 6 but it will only sync about 1400. I transferred all purchases from my mini to itunes and then synced my iphone but certain ibooks will appear then disappear or will only open to a blank white screen then disappear. Not sure what happen or how to fix this. All started happening after ios8.

If you have this setting, make be sure you have selected iCloud as your default account and not something else like On My iPhone, Google, Yahoo, an Exchange account, etc. If iCloud is not selected, make this change then add a new test contact and see if it appears in your contacts on icloud.com and your other devices now.
If you don't have the Default Account setting, or if it is set to iCloud but new contacts added to your phone still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing contacts from your phone to your contacts on icloud.com. Once the contacts on icloud.com are up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a few seconds turn Calendars back on. Then add a new test contact on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com and your other devices now.

Not syncing between ipad and iphone

I have an iPhone with iOS 7 and an iPad with iOS 7. Since the upgrade, the contacts I add on my phone are not populating over to my iPad. I have check to be sure both are set for uploading to iCloud. I have made sure both are set to pull contacts from iCloud. I have cleared the iPad contacts and then repopulated. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
