I cant start Itunes..
I cant start Itunes..."Error 7 (windows error 14001)"
What I have to do?
Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Cant start iTunes nor Quicktime
When i start iTunes or Quicktime, they won't open, i'm getting an error.
All worked fine, when i had my previous system on my last hard disk. I decided to buy a new WD 1TB harddisk. I did format and installed windows, but when trying to open the iTunes now (to sync music with my iphone) i'm getting an error, the same happens when trying to open quicktime player. Haven't got them working since I got the new WD HDD. Really need help with this!
I have windows XP service pack 3 installed, if it's necessary to point out. iTunes is ver 8.1.1.10 and Quicktime ver 7.60.92.0. If more information is needed to make it easier to solve the problem, then just ask.
I would be very grateful, if this problem get's a solution.
My english grammar might not be good for i am estonian.
iTunes error:

http://www.writech.pri.ee/ituneserror2.bmp
Quicktime error:
http://www.writech.pri.ee/quicktimeerror1.bmp
http://www.writech.pri.ee/quicktimeerror2.bmpIn addition to Pamela Gadsden's advice, BEX errors in quicktime can be due to the installation of incompatible codecs.
iTunes can not work if Quicktime does not.
Have you installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter, Mpcstar, (possibly starcodec pack, 3ivx)
If so uninstall them, they are know to cause problems with Quickitme.
The list of problem codecs may not be complete, suspect any recently installed codec or converter software.
Then download the version of Quickime without iTunes:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Now Remove Quicktime using the method for Quicktime in this article (just Quicktime):
XP
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Vista
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
When you come to your C:\Windows\system32\ folder you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
Restart you computer
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check if it starts.
If it does you are in a position to find out if iTunes is OK. -
Hi,
my problem is, that when I try to start iTunes, it says: "The application or DLL C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Apple\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll is no available Windows-Data. Check this with the Installitionsdiskette. My english isn't that good, the message is on german (Die Anwendung oder DLL C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Apple\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll ist keine gültige Windows-Datei. Überprüfen Sie dies mit der Installationsdiskette) for german users
If I click OK, it says, iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).
I did try to reinstall it often (like 5 times), but its always the same message, so I hope you might be able to help me, and know what I have to do.
Thanks and ciao.

Cant start iTunes or quicktime
I have just bought my first ipod and installed the package from the start page. However i cannot start itunes or quicktime. I get the well known "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close......"
I have tried reinstalling 10 times and to run msconfig as mentioned somewhere in the support forum.
What am i doing wrong? Why done a new purchase start with this?
Brgds VeilstrupI am getting this exact same problem too - the message is the one you get if a programme closes unexprectedly in the middle of something you're doing (ie the programme has opended up OK and you're in it), BUT iTunes hasn't even opened up yet (or quick time) - it happnens whilst I'm trying to open iTunes. If I try to open QuickTime on its own the same thing happens. The frustrating thing is that the message itself gives you no clue as to what the problem is as it's not an error message as such.
I have re-installed iTunes (with QuickTime) twice and nothing changes.
Can anyone help? -
Cant start iTunes with Windows Vista installed
I have a problem starting the application iTunes. When i start i get a message that the folder iTunes cant be created, and the program have to use this folder to work. Vhen i press "OK" the program is closing.
Apple, apparently, had a fix up for an earlier version of itunes, but that is gone from the web page, and has been yanked.
Yes, there are big problems with iTunes for Windows. Until these are rectified, your Ipod will be a paper weight. -
I cant start itunes after i tried to install the new update PLEASE HELP
Every time i try to open it it said iTune.exe - Entry Point Not Found then it said The procedure entry point kCMByteStreamNotification_AvailableLengthChanged could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll. And i tried re-installing it and it went through but it just wont open.
Hello. No message shown. The downloading does not complete at all, I tried like 20 times but no one worked. The closest I was to downloaded it, was with 66 mb (the new version has 66.1) As stated on the web page of apple I uninstalled itunes and all its accesories or common programs. Now I am unable to install the new version and I am more frustrating since I did it to sincronized it wit my new ipad! In consequence, no message at all, the downloading simply stops at 49%, 67% or 99% :(
Thank you for your time!! -
When I plug in my Ipod Touch to my computer I can not access my Itunes library. The following message appears "The program cant start because MSVCR80.dll is missing." Also, another message appears as well - "Error 7 Windows error 126" as well as APSDaemon.exe.
I have NO IDEA what the heck to do.
Any ideas?

I cant download itunes on my computer because it says " service 'apple mobile device' failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. what does this mean? how do you verify this?
I am having this same problem. I took Kappy advice on restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, however that did not work. I got this message in a pop up window that came up immediately.
Windows could not start the Apple Mobil Device Service on local computer.
Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.
Can anyone please help? -
I cannot load the latest version of Itunes on my Toshiba PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. Tried to re-install. Dead in the water. Windows error 126. Cant start becasue MSVCR80.dll is missing from my computer
You may have to follow the slightly more detailed steps in whichever of these two applies to you.
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Rebooting into safe mode may be needed to delete any folder the instructions say you should remove. You may also find this Microsoft Fixit helps to remove stubborn components. It has taken some people several attempts to completely clean iTunes and supporting software before they have been able to successfully reinstall it.

trying to install the newest version of itunes on my pc and am getting "program cant start because msvcr80.dll is missing from your computer" reinstalling doesnt work. and then it says error 7 (windows error 126). Any help would be appreciated. Using Windows 7 enterprise on an hp Z600
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Hi Chrisgardner54
I have the same problem, I tried to uninstall itunes and even go back to an earlier version and nothing works. It keeps showing the same message: "Apple movile device failed to start. Verify that you have suficient privileges to start the system services" -
i cant install itunes it keeps on saying "service apple mobile failed to start" and i keep on reinstalling itunes but i keep on getting the message.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
