How to get rid of automatically created Mail and iCal accounts on client?

I have recently setup an OS X 10.6 Server for our small office. I got the domain name wrong in the initial install and fixed this by doing a complete clean reinstall of OS X 10.6 server (now upgraded to 10.6.4).
The problem is that one of the OS X 10.6.4 clients had been setup to talk to the server prior to the rebuild. Now on this client, I cannot work out how to get rid of or change the automatically created server accounts in iCal and Mail - everytime you login, these are recreated using the old domain name (and of course don't work).
In Mail if you remove the server account (from Accounts in Preferences), it just pops back again. I even removed every trace of the old domain name from the apple.com.mail.plist file but when I re-open Mail that darned server account (with the old domain name) just pops up again.
In iCal its slightly different in that you can remove the account and it stays away while you have iCal open. But as soon as you close and re-open it, that server account just pops up again!
I thought it might be something to do with Kerberos and found a Kerberos file on the client which had the old domain name throughout it - I changed all these references to the new domain name, but still the same behaviour in Mail and iCal.
This is doing my head in. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. Every time that I open iCal on the client a new account is created and an error message shown that I cannot login. I can delete the wrong account in the iCal preferences. However, as soon as I restart, the account and the error message are back.
How do I "unbind" and "rebind" a client? I searched the "Mac OS X Server
Open Directory Administration Version 10.6 Snow Leopard" but the only reference to "binding" seems to be in the context of Active Directory which I don't have.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can't get rid of them. Just stop using them.
Sign out of all the ones you want to stop using on all your devices and computers, then sign in with the one ID you do want to use.
Note that if you have iTunes or App Store purchases tied to any of these accounts, those purchases will forever be tied to that ID and you will have to sign in using that ID to update apps purchased under it. You cannot transfer purchases from one ID to another.

How to get rid of the "time out" when using DAQ AI in the example program

I try an example file called "AcqVoltageSamples_IntClkDigRef" (Visual C++ .NET). It works great. However, if the program has not recieved the data, it sent out a timeout message. How to get rid of the "time out"? I cannot find anywhere in the code. Is this a property I have to reset somewhere else?

Hello Yajai,
The example program will use the default value for timeout, 10 seconds. To change this, you will have to set the Stream.Timeout value. I inserted this function into the example and set it equal to -1, and the program will wait indefinitely for the trigger signal without timing out. Please see the attached image to how this was implemented.

How to get rid of white space in EPS embedded in Word for letterhead template?

Does anyone know how to get rid of the white band in the bottom of this letterhead?
I embedded the EPS image (done via Illustrator) as a watermark in the header section of MS-Word.
It looks fine in the Word version, but as soon as I try to print the document - either via Word or via a PDF - that white
band on either side of the footer and underneath it keeps showing up. I can't get rid of it. I tried this on a PC and a Mac
and those white bands won't go away.
If anyone could let me know how to resolve this problem, I would be eternally grateful!

If you want this to bleed, then you will have to print on oversize paper and trim or find a printer that will print borderless.

I uploaded beta version of Firefox. jigzone puzzles download is loading multiple puzzles in the same wiindow maybe 20 or more puzzles at the same time. How doI get rid of the beta version and go back to the previsious versions or correct the problem.

My newspaper downloaded. the download of jigzone puzzle created multiple copies of the puzzle in the same window. I went to safari to see if it was the jigzone website but it downloaded correctly. How do I get rid of the beta version I downloaded this morning or correct this problem. I closed firefox and restarted the computer (IMAX) and problem persisted.

Limnos is correct. The Apple Store gift card is used for purchasing product at the Apple Store. The iTunes gift card is used for downloading digital content. They are not interchangeable as Limnos said.

Alot probably was installed when you downloaded/installed some software from the internet. When I use analyzer to look at results collected with collect I get several warnings such as:

Assuming it's Linux and you are using an older version of collect, it's most likely bug 6714153: Linux: callstack frames contain "<Unknown> + ..." when application uses many libraries.
This bug has been fixed in SunStudio 12 Update 1 release. You'll have to recollect the experiment.

How to get rid of 7.0.3 and get back to 6.5.2

I bought QuickTime Pro 6 early last year and have since been - mindlessly, I admit - routinely accepting the automatic upgrades to QuickTime. It never occurred to me that an upgrade would reduce the functionality of the product. I don't use QT much so I didn't notice until after 7.0.3 that I can no longer play my videos in full screen mode.
I can't install anything older because the installer refuses to install over a newer version and I haven't found a way to go from 7.0.3 back to 6.5.2.
And, no, I'm not willing to be coerced into buying Pro7.

Officially, you can't do it (at this moment), but you can try following steps (I haven't tried it myself):
* install the latest 7.03 (again)
* now try the 7.01 Reinstaller
* if this won't work, go to www.macupdate.com and get "Pacifist"
* open the 7.01 Reinstaller package with Pacifist
* hit the "install" button
* if this won't work there's also an "extract to" option, but this is dangerous if you don't know exactly what you're doing
* Apply QuickTime 6.5.2 Reinstaller for QT 7.0.1

Automatically created a standalone WLan account - How to get rid of that?

my computer has automatically created a standalone wireless account by the name of "Homeinternet" which is of course open and unsecured. I did create an account previously to access the internet.
How do I get rid of that "Homeinternet" account? What could have possibly triggered that action?
Does it have something to do with Home groups on my computer?
I'm thankful for any help or good advice.

By account I mean the wireless network I have created on my computer and configured on my router beforehand. That network works fine and there's no problem with that. When checking the list of available wireless networks I see my network and those of my neighbours. The only problem is, there is a second wireless network obviously connected to me which is open and unsecured and doesn't show on my computer unfortunately so that i could delete/deactivate it. I never created that second, fake wireless network but it definitely is connected to my computer. Each time I log on, it appears, same thing when I log off or turn off the router.
As it doesn't show neither on my router or my computer I wonder what I have to do to get rid of it. Do I have to reset my router or is there a way to make invisible wireless networks visible in order to delete them somehow?!
I wouldn't mind much about it if I was sure it's not connected to me in a way, but it is unfortunately.
Could it have something to do with Home groups or wrong settings for Home groups?

You most likely installed adware along with something else you recently installed.
You can either follow Apple's manual instructions for removing it, or the free automated tool, AdwareMedic.
