Did you purchase Apple Care? If you did, you still have access to Apple Support. If not, go to your Apple Store and let them help you get it set up correctly. I'm sure it's something simple we're missing. Good Luck.
Do remember one thing. iMessage on iPad only works with other iOS devices. This means you can only text to people who:
1. Have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
2. And they have upgraded to iOS 5 or higher

ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

I updated my iPad to iOS 7 and now I can't sign into iMessage. It keeps saying can not sign in check network connection? But my internet connection is full and everything else works fine.

So I changed my Apple ID. Now on my Iphone I can't update things from the apps store or download new stuff. I went into settings and changed my ID there, but in the apps store it still shows up as my old ID. The apps store won't let me log on with the new one, as my old still shows up, and if I go back into settings and change it back to the old ID the password I had before no longer works. This ***** Apple. You just ruined my Iphone!!! My phone went from being cool to being junk since I am not unable to download or update apps...the coolest part of my phone. Someone help??? Please tell me how I can enjoy my phone and apps again...
Thank you for the response, but I ended up temporarily resetting my Apple ID... It was a pain, but it worked in the end.

I changed my Apple ID on my mac. now when i try to sync my iPad, the user ID still is the emaill address of the OLD apple ID and it asks me for a password. I'd like for the message to have the NEW apple ID email and not the old, so that I can access the credit on my account in the app store and use iCloud on my iPad.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -

iCloud is already set on my old Apple ID in my Iphone and I can't delete it. Whenever I add my password it says it's wrong, and when I tried to retrieve my password (of the former Apple ID) it didn't send me an email. I also tried changing my account's Apple ID back to the old one but it says "This email address is not available for use as an Apple ID. You may already have an Apple ID associated with this address. You'll see if you can sign in on managing your Apple ID, and then if you can, you can see if your information is all correct, and then ... you should be able to go back and do it, since you've verified your information. -
I am getting frustrated because I can't update my apps that were downloaded under the old apple id. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I have already tried signing back in under my old apple id and it says that that id is no longer in use.
Applications are connected to the Apple ID that they were purchased/downloaded with. If you updated your ID, you should be able still sign in with that ID, if you are logged into that ID on the phone. However, if you created a new Apple ID, then you would not be able to use that ID to update the apps.

One of my contacts had an iPhone and we iMessage fine. Now he switched to a samsung galaxy note III and I need to switch his contact from iMessage so he can receive my text. He still has an iPod so iMessage still works for that but will that be effected by changing for android? How do I make the change? Thanks
It isn't your issue, it is his. He needs to make sure he has turned of iMessage and removed his number from the iMessage database. If he does not still have the device, he needs to contact Apple Care to take care of it.

Just as the title says. How in the world do I fix this?
To migrate your data to a new iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud and turn off all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is set to off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, create the new iCloud account on your phone and turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc again. If prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new iCloud account.
