I changed my ID and password but I can't log in.

Having a bit of a problem here...
I was editing my account information and I changed my Apple ID and my password. I signed out of iTunes but when I tried to sign back in it would not let me. I've tried using both the old and new sets of information and I've attempted to reset the password through email, but the emails aren't being sent to me for some reason. There was a substantial amount of money on that account and I don't want to lose it.
Please Help!

click settings on the phone, click store, click Apple ID: [email protected], select sign out, then sign in with the new ID

    At one time only Email IDs from Apple (when it was just @Mac.com) were referred to as "Apple IDs"
    Other IDs such as to log in to Discussions were know as Discussion IDs
    Things like the Online Store and iTunes and Apple realising that people would prefer one ID to have access to Everything tended to move things together.
    There can be a variety of combos now
    iChat Name
    @mac.com before MobileMe
    @mac.com post MobileMe
    AIM Names
    AIM names current
    MobileMe (@Me.com)
    Style
    Email Address valid with the .Mac service prior MobileMe Note 1
    Email style Name Valid with AIM

    You have to delete the old account, provide the password for the ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
    To avoid losing photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).

    ARD only works with Windows computers if the Windows computer is running VNC server software.  Even then it can only control and observe.  Do you have this installed?

    Please try to sign in at https://appleid.apple.com
    Check if your new username/email address is verfied
    If this works, delete your account on your iPhone (Settings > iCloud)
    Sign back in

    Apps are permanently tied to the ID and password used to purchase them. If you do not remember that information, you cannot update them. If you ned these apps, you will have to repurchase them under your new ID.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you did a good job editing your Apple ID and primary email address, but you didn’t sign out of iCloud on your iOS device before hand. What you may need to do in this situation is go back to the Apple ID website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the email address that is signed in with iCloud (there is no need to verify the account after editing it back to the old account, just changing it back is enough). Once your Apple ID is back to the original account, delete the iCloud account from the iOS device and be sure to keep all info on the device when prompted. After you delete the iCloud account, go back to the website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the new address. Once it is back to the account you would like, you can sign into the iCloud on the iOS device with that new account and merge all of the data when prompted. Please use the following article as a reference.

    Change your Apple ID temporarily
    If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
    Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
    Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
    Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
    Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
    Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

    I've changed my apple id and changed password; but when I try to "update" my apps..it reverts back to my old apple id.

    You need to indicate which problem it is you are having. As Jay-Ray said, if the issue is with updating Apps, then you need the password to the old ID, or you will have to re-purchase the app under the new ID.
    If, however, your issue is that your iCloud account is still showing the old ID, then you will need to do the following in order to delete it:
    1.     Sign onto Manage your Apple ID and change the Apple ID back to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it. Do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account. When it asks for the password, type in your current Apple ID password. Follow the prompts to delete the account
    3.     Go back to Manage your Apple ID, sign on with the old email address/current password, and change your Apple ID back to the current one. You may need to verify it again
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with the new ID

    the appleID is the connection between the device and icloud and what apps and media itunes store see that you own
    if you change appleID you start from scratch
    settings->store->appleID is where you remove what appleID your ios device see as yours

    Trying to download a new widget for my dashboard, it wants a name and password.     Create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up this one account -- as it is POP, set to leave messages on the server after download. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:

    This will be a useful test, and is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of the Mail application outside of your normal User Account.
    Also in System Preferences/Networks click on Advanced, then Proxies and make sure no proxy selections have been checked.

    First of all, YES i know the ID and the password i used on this "find my iphone" thing on icloud, recently i restored the device for some issues it had with the camera roll (nothing important), but now im locked on the screen that asks me for the Apple ID and the password to unlock it, as the first owner, the first time i used it i created the account and i remember the password correctly, i can even access to it on my pc, but every time i type in the ID and the password it keeps saying  "this account can't unlock this device" what i'm i supposed to do now? i'm really confused as it is no other way to turn off this find my iphone thing via pc, and i can't access to my device to do it, so basically it now is a brick, a really expensive brick... any help Apple guys? i'm really worried about this..

    I just got off the phone with apple.
    I have to call 800-MY-APPLE and try to verify my Apple ID using my old password and a serial number from a device on which I used my Apple ID. Oh and @apple.com never existed, I have no idea how it got on my phone :|

    I  am unable to transfer music that was put on Itunes (via cd)) onto my Ipod touch.   Have tried everything - any suggestions as to what I might not be doing?  I have different apple ids on both units but having read up it states that it should not make difference. If I have t ochange then have no idea as to how.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
