I connected my iPhone to my macbook to charge it. When I come to eject it I can't find the iphone icon in finder or on desktop?

With Macintosh Computers there is no Finder or Desktop icon for iPhone. Just unplug the iPhone. In iTunes application this is different and you can so-called eject it if you want.
