I create an MSWord or Excel document and type a web address in it. When I click on the web address, it opens an Internet Explorer window. How can I make it open Firefox, not Internet Explorer? Thanks!

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Open up the Adobe CC desktop application. There should be an Install or Try button, not a Download button, next to PS in the CC desktop app list.
It sounds like you’re using a browser with https://creative.adobe.com/products That page should work, too, but clicking the blue Download button is going to try to start up a program locally on your computer and you may have answered Disallow at some point in the past or you may have some internet security program that blocks such things so nothing is starting up.

When DW starts acting weird, the first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache. Be sure to turn on Hidden files & folders in your Windows Explorer.

When I click on firefox to open in my Mac, an error shows up: plug-in object Type error: id is undefined. When I click on the OK button, firefox opens. This never happened in FF 3. What is this?

Also when I am in a site, such as an account, and click on a highlighted link, I get another error, {Javascript Application] can't create mcafee plug-in object: Type Error: components. classes [cid] is undefined. The only mcafee I had on my computer was the secure search and I uninstalled it, but I still get this message. When I click on the OK button with the error message, then the link opens up.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

HT203433 I bought a cd today, and the digital booklet came with it, (Of course). But when I click on the digital booklet, it opens up in Microsoft Words with no pics/lyrics/artwork. Instead, I get like 200 pages of a bunch of Gibberish letters/symbols :

Hello fellow iTunes users. My issue is related to the one above.
I can successfully download the digital booklet included with Taylor Swift's Red Deluxe album, but when I try to open it in Adobe Reader (and the pdf reader included with Windows 8), the following error screen appears:
I have tried to re-download the file several times - and on a different computer. Is Apple aware of this issue and, if so, is there a fix for it? Both are using Windows x64 versions. One is running Windows 7, the other running (the truly awful) Windows 8.

p.s. I upgraded to iTunes 11 before this purchase and I find iTunes 11 to be a marked improvement on v10 and the only reliable media player that I am able to use on Windows 8, so congratulations Apple for doing a better job than Microsoft when it comes to Windows 8 compatibility, lol!

I continuously get a Firefox pop-up saying that there are missing plug-ins. This seems to be the Adobe Flash Player and the installation fails when I click on the button. I've installed it manually but Firefox still gives the pop-up. Very frustrating.

Pop-up is the yellow bar at the top with the Install Plugin button enabled

I have been trying to help a friend who is having problems publishing her website. (She has done so previously using Mobile me)
There seem to be a couple of things wrong with the application,
1 if I drag the application icon onto the dock, it won't stay there
2 I wanted to change where her site is published to (she has bought a domain name and has a hosting service now) but when I click on the domain name I do not get the "site publishing settings page" so we can't enter the new details. All that comes up is the main page of her website.
I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing Iweb, to see if that clears the problem, but as Iweb came pre-installed with her Imac, I am not sure that we can do this.
Any ideas please?

NO - not correct. Even if you are still using iWeb 08, you can still publish to another host and not MobileMe. You do this by selecting the option 'Publish to a local folder" and this will publish the site to your desktop and you can then use an ftp programme such as Cyberduck to upload your site to your host.
MobileMe will not be here after the end of June, so you will have to find alternative hosting. They are not taking any new subscriptions.
On new Macs, iLife 11 is pre-installed, but only iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand are included, not iWeb and iDVD. The Apple Online store is not selling the boxed version of iLife 11 any longer, so if you want to upgrade to iLife, then you'll have to look online at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for a boxed set of either iLife 09 or iLife 11. Both contains iWeb 09, which is what you would want.

What is "Adobe XI" - Reader, or Acrobat?
But either way, 'Save as Adobe PDF' is a Word function, independent of what Adobe software you have installed.

When I click on the desktop icon I receive a pop up that says "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes". I have no idea what this means or what to do about it. I can't even find a file on my computer like the one referred to in the pop up. I am currently considering keeping my old laptop if it is the only way for me to continue to access iTunes. What should I do to fix this?

What version of iTunes are you using? An .itl file is something that Windows uses, or very old versions of iTunes on Mac. The library file on Macs is now .xml and has been since late iTunes 4.
Is iTunes running ok without any problems after you OK that message? If it is, then you may be able to ignore it if you can't account for why you're getting it. But make sure you take backups in case something happens in the future.

I just tried the link and it is just fine. If the GateKeeper pops up then open Security & Privacy preferences, click on the General tab, set the last radio button to Anywhere.

It also requires the computer to be using wi-fi.
