I created an administrator account without a password but can't get in to delete other users

I was trying to delete an administrator level user and created a new administrator user with no password. I cannot access either now and want to get rid of them both. No passwords are working...help..!

OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks and 10.10 Yosemite
Reset Password
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

HT5188 I've created an itunes account without credit card, but I can't buy any free apps. Could anyone tell me why.

Recently I've created a new itunes account without credit,but unfortunately fail to buy any free apps.
When I press the "download" button, a pop-up appear and ask me to complete the billing info.
The point is that many of my friends can buy free apps by creating non credit account, but why I couldn't?
Just feel confused.

I found out the hard way on this one. All you need is to use the drop down and put mr, mrs etc and then be sure to select none for the billing if you do not want to use a credit card. Apple does not explain this little step when it asking for your billing information.

I just updated my MacBook pro early 2011 model to OSX 10.9 and was forced to create a new user(administrator) and ended up with a different configuration. If I login with my original user name everything is back. How can I get rid of the other user name?

I have two user names with Administrator privelages and my MacBook keeps booting up to the wrong one and I have the wrong configuration since I updated to OSX 10.9. I would like to get back to my original User name which I used to boot up to. When I go to the User Groups and Preferences it doesn't allow me to delete the un-wanted user.
Does anybody have any suggestions how I can fix this? I can't seem to recover Time Capsule back-ups prior to the OSX upgrade even though I have been faithfully backing up to a Time Machine.

First of all, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options, and set your old user account in "Automatic login". By doing this, your computer will always log in with your old account.
Then, log in your old account, where you will be able to delete the new user that OS X Mavericks forced you to create. Other users have reported the same problem

I had my iTunes account synced with an old e-mail account. I no longer remeber my password for this account and no longer have access to this e-mail account. I was able to change my information to a new e-mail in iTunes and iCloud with no trouble but my iOS device keeps asking me for the password to my old iTunes account which I can't remember. It defaults the e-mail reset password to the account I can no longer access and also says the date of birth I am entering does not match the records they have... Is your phone still signed in with your old iTues ID for iCloud (in Settings>iCloud)?

As posted earlier, you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and clicking on the Find your Apple ID on the bottom right. If you are able to find the ID, you can then reset the password here:https://iforgot.apple.com/, allowing you to access your iCloud account again.

You cannot retrieve the Apple ID password on an iPhone, unless it's saved into a Note or something. Nowhere on an iPhone can you see the Apple ID password. Only exception to this is (possibly) if you've logged into an Apple website with your Apple ID via Safari, and Safari saves the password, if you request it, and you can look at the saved passwords in Settings > Safari.

Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap the new ID and sign out. Then sign in with the old ID. You can do the reverse to get back to your new ID.

Can't cancel without live chat, but can't get through to speak to live chat.

I work in an office and due to the recent security breach at Adobe they are wanting to cancel our 12 month subscription so that our credit card details are no longer stored with Adobe, or if possible be invoiced for, and pay out the rest of our 12 months in one payment.
I have followed all the FAQ's and the previous discussions here and they all direct me to live chat - there appears to be no other way to cancel, or speak to anyone at all at adobe (keep in mind I am in Australia).
This week I have tried to get through to live chat. The first day I was #11 in the queue upon joining and after waiting for well over an hour I must have reached the front of the queue while I was on a phone call to a customer as when I went back to the chat windown Adobe had closed the conversation due to no reply from me to their eventual acknowledgement.
Yesterday I was #91 in the queue upon joining and I believe it was more than 4 hours before i think I must have reached the front of the queue, I say I think as it must have occurred while I was at lunch and away from my desk, as again I came back and had missed my chance to speak with a representative - chat had been closed.
Is there an email address, or other way that I can communicate to arrange what we are seeking?

iDVD - don't care about GBs - ONLY - Time = Movie + Menus - as follows
iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
• Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
About double on DL DVDs.
If You NEED to put in more than 120 minutes onto a SL DVD - Then I would use Roxio Toast™ as this can squees in between 7 to 10 hours onto this - BUT AT A BARELY USABLY QUALITY.
VHS tapes recorded in EP- mode will look brilliant in comparision

SP = 240 minutes on a standard VHS tape
LP = 480 minutes
EP = 720 or more ?

My device keeps prompting me for the password every few minutes after updating to iOS 8, and I've tried every option possible to retrieve the password, but I don't even know the answers to the security questions and I can't find the password reset email anywhere and I don't know the back up emails my mum used. I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Is there a way for me to retreive the password or change to my new account without the password?

I have a apple ID/password which i have created, however my current itunes account/icloud account are set up/picking up my old email address which i no longer have access to and dont know the password. i have tried to delete the icloud account but it says i need a password. I have tried the forgot password option on apple to which it doesnt recognise my birthday as being the same as their records for some reason, and i cant access the reset email as i dont have this address anymore.

you can´t delete an icloud account without using the password.
if you can confirm that your iphone is not locked to icloud device activation with this AppleID your are not aware and you have no access for - you can attempt to "erase all settings and content" on your iphone, to remove the icloud account from your iphone. all your data will be erased and iphone is set to factory settings

You are probably being asked to use a Windows XP admin account.
You need to log into your XP Operating Sytem as an admin level user.
If you use Ctrl + Alt + Del twice from the logon screen you will be offered a choice of user account and password.
The 'Administrator' account itself is not normally seen when logging on.
XP probably sets up the Administrator account with a null default password so enter the name 'Administrator' and then put the cursor in the password fields and hit the return key.
It is always a good idea to actually enter and use a password, it is also a good idea to create a password reset floppy.
If you have any account that already has administrator priveliges that may be uses to change passwords and account names.
If all else fails a clean reinstall of the OS will probably get you in as an administrator.
