I deleted photos from sd card before it finished importing into iPhoto, how can I recover them?
I hit delete photos when importing from SD card to iPhoto. Lost everthing that was current. (All the old photos were still on). How can I recover my photos (taken yesterday)?

Can't move photos from SD card to Trash after download into iPhoto
The past few times I've tried to delete photos downloaded via a card reader from my SD card to iPhoto, I have been unable to do so.
I receive the message: "Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. Error code -61."
This problem only started with the last four or five photo downloads I've made.
Any suggestions? Thanx.Try reformatting your card with your camera. That will clear the card and probably fix the issue as well.
And is a better workflow since it eliminates the possibility of losing photos due to a computer glitch and renews the format of your card every time

Probably -will your card mount to the desktop? If not you will need a card reader - select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export to a desktop folder - mount the card to the desktop and drag the photos to the corredct folder on it

Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud. If someone deletes them, they are gone. If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

Which trash is empty? If it's the iPhoto trash, check the System Trash, as files deleted from iPhoto 11 go there. Assuming that's also empty then you have exactly two options:
1. Restore from your back up
or
2. Use a file recovery app such as File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.

I just solved this issue! Here's the solution in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem: I had him link his phone number to his Apple ID by adding his his phone number to his contact in his Contacts List. After that, messages sent to his phone number are blue.
I'm guessing his phone number was disconnected from his Apple ID when he somehow toggled off iMessage. -

What does "I caught my phone 4" mean?
All contacts, calendars, photos etc should be on your computer as the iphone is designed to be synced to your computer.
Just sync them to your new iphone.

All my mail have disappeared from my mac and my iOS devices. Seemingly from the iCloud server as well. How can I recover them?
Well, you can't since the emails are stored on icloud's mail server. Try this test, using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and check the mail page. If they are gone, then they are really gone.
Now, I thought I could go into a Time Machine backup and view old emails from a day ago. Unfortunately, Time Machine doesn't seem to save icloud based email, since regardless of the past date I go to, only the current emails show up, not older ones. My conclusion is that I wouldn 't be able to recover them from a TM backup.
What had you been doing on the mac or device that causes emails to be deleted? (I hope you don't have a family member or friend using the same icloud account - they may have deleted all emails by mistake.) -

After updating to iOS 7 the contact photos no longer appear when I receive a call. How can I get them to show again?

Mildly amusing that the instructions for force-closing a program are the IOS 6 instructions, which do not work on IOS 7.
Otherwise I'm having a little success with this. Some apps (not all) are updating. It seems that a few more apps update each time I go through the process (close everything, sign out, and either reset or reboot, then go to the app store, sign in and try to update all). So far it has been a very lengthy, iterative process. -

In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4 to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it
