Hi QuisB123,
If you are having an issue with reclaiming free space after deleting photos from your iPhone, use the steps in this article to assist -
If you get a "Not enough free space" alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Specifically -
Orphaned files might remain on your iOS device if it's physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, you might see a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device in the Capacity indicator in iTunes. Try these steps:
Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes. If you see the "Not enough free space" alert, continue to step 5.
Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device:
Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes. If you see the "Not enough free space" alert, continue to step 6.
Restore using iTunes.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Best,
Brett L

  • How do I delete albums from Itouch4 that were synced from a pc I no longer have access to?

Photo albums were synced to my Itouch that I do not want.  I cannot delete it from the device itself. When I go into Itunes and go to the "photo" section to highlight the albums that I want to delete, they are not there, because they were synced from a pc that I no longer have access to.  Is there any way to get rid of these stinking photos that I don't want??

Two ways that I know of:
    - Use a third-party program (paid ones) like PhoneView or TouchCopy to delete them
    - Follow these instruction to make that computer the syncing computer. Just d not copy the phtos from the iPod to the computer

If you have a dropbox account, there's a free app (probably more) that syncs photos to your dropbox account - picbox.
There's also PhotoSync that syncs photos to/from a number of different services and devices.

You un-sync them by plugging the phone into the computer and changing the options for photo syncing in iTunes.

my macbook pro running lion will not boot . it stays on the grey page with the cog spinning. I have tried all methods of booting to no avail. I have removed the bottom and taken out the battery and the ram . will this affect my applecare warranty. I had to try myself as I'm overseas for two months and nowhere near any sort of help .

there was a recent software update that seemed to screw HDV up.  Do some searching here over the last month or 2 and you'll find a bunch of posts and some possible solutions.
Worst case scenario, do as Shane suggests.  But might I suggest you take a look at the user tips section of the forum.  there are some great tips on how to prevent these sorts of problems by cloning your startup drive, etc.

  • HT1695 Anyone else having issues with not being able to get wifi on their iPhone 4S? I can't even switch the wifi button to try and connect to my wifi at home but my iPad still uses the wifi just fine.

Thank you, I am trying to last option now. Resetting my network settings and if that still doesn't work ill have to go in to the apple store. Hopefully I won't need a new phone because I'm already at my limit with replacements on my AppleCare even though the issue with the phones 3 out of 4 times wasn't my fault and I can't afford to buy another phone.

  • I've heard of iPhones being cloud locked but you can still use them as a regular iPod touch, that's what my sister does at least. But what happens if an iPod is like that?

I was looking at this iPod 5 on Ebay earlier and in the description it said iCloud locked. I've heard of iPhones being cloud locked but you can still use them as a regular iPod touch, that's what my sister does. But what does it mean when an iPod is cloud locked? Can I not do certain things? I would just like to know this in case I decide to buy. Thanks.

  • How do I acess my pictures that were synced to my computer?

Is it possible to find my pictures that were synced from my phone to my computer? My iphone died in water and I desperately want to recover these pics. My 9 month old puppies were poisened by someone and they both died yesterday. Every pic we have (probably 100) of them but two were on my phone. I've searched throguh every file possible and can't find them.

Your pictures were not synced from your phone to your computer.  This is not a feature of iTunes.
The device is designed for the user to copy the pictures off of the device to the computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.  If you have chosen to not do this, the pictures are likely gone.  The only hope of recovering them would be restoring the most recent backup of the device to the device or a replacement iPhone.

  • Has anyone else had an unsaved photo disappear from a text message?Gone. No thumbnail... it doesn't exist anymore? How do you fix that? Can you fix that?

The photo is gone in the text message. Gone. No thumbnail...it doesn't exist anymore. How do you fix that? Can you fix that? Can you ever get the photo to show up again? I stumpted the guy on the phone with this problem. I need some help from anyone who has experienced this problem and might have a solution! Thanks in advance!

This happened to me also, a few days ago... I went to look at pics that were sent from just one person, all the other photos that people texted are there during same time period.  It is only this one contacts several photos that disappeared...   There is an arrow when I click on it it goes to a blank page?!?   Have you received any feedback or answers??  Did your photos  that are missing come from only one person or multiple?  If you have any information that might help let me know!!!  I really want them back!!  Thanks much!

Go into the BIOS and run the hard drive diagnostics test and see what that reports.
Sounds like the hard drive failed.

  • HT4236 There HAS to be a way to get photos that were synced from the computer on to the iPad OFF of the iPad in a different way than having to email each individual photo back to oneself. And you can't delete them either, using up vital storage

My Ipad2 has photos synced from my main computer on it, taking up vital storage.  I cannot remove them at all, and the folks at the Genius Bar can't help either.  Apparently there is no way to remove them unless they were originally taken by the Ipad2 camera.  And the only way you can get copies of those photos back on to the computer or another device is to individually email EACH photograph.
There has to be a way to remove these pics to free up the storage.
I almost was unable to load the new operating system because of the amount of photos on the iPad,which ended up on the iPad as a mistake in the first place during an early syncing when it was first purchased.
This is a HUGE glitch in the system.  If you know otherwise, please advise!

  • Just backed up old 4S, then transferred all data to Iphone 5, and the photos already on Iphone 5 were deleted. Can I get them back?

I was trying to transfer my stuff from my 4s to my new iphone 5 just now. I took some photos with my iphone 5 this weekend that were deleted when I transferred the data from my old phone to my new one. Is there a way to get those pictures back?

if you did not backup the 5 or import them in to a cpu then they are gone
