After IOS8 update my iPad runs slow, most games don't work, and touch screen isn't as responsive.

I installed IOS8 on my iPad2 now my iPad runs slower than before. Most games do not run. The touch
screen doesn't seem to be as sensitive. I have done all off/on and resets: no luck! Anyone else having similar problems?

Hii have hp laptop - Pavilion touchsmart sleekbook 14 b150se - the device have a touch screen - it worked for about 6 months - then it stopped suddenly working after upgrading to windows 8.1 x64 (i.e. it worked in both windows 8 and 8.1 )then it stopped for no reasonwhile i was searching for drivers in hp site - i found an intersting driver was for windows 8 ( not 8.1) -which worked perfectly in windows 8.1 !! Hi Slimon, I got the same issue as your prob that after the AUO firmware installed, then I ran over the internet to look for a solution. I tried tons of them but finally your way helps. Thank you! If the touchscreen of your laptop has been not working yet, you'd better try to erase the current one in the system, then re-install the firmware one more time. However, sorry I dont know how to erase it. You can probably create a new topic to post your question on this hp support forum and wish an upcoming answer helps. Good luck! Ray

I have a toddler who likes to watch iTunes movies on the HP Stream 5701 Tablet but he touches the screen and stops the movie. Is there a simple and easy way to disable the touch screen and let the movie continue to play?

You don't disable the touch screen persay.. it simply disables buttons except sleep, and the only control on the screen is a box to unlock the screen (The movie is in full screen playback). The unlock button can be as simple as a push button, to something as complex as a gesture. So the kid is free to put his hands all over the screen with little fear of stoping or exiting the movie.

IdeaCentre B520: Separating Touch Screen Layer from Screen

Hello,
Unfortunately I slightly broke the Touch Screen of my PC by hitting the screen and it is now full of cracks.
However PC is working nontherless and the screen behind the thin Touch Screen layer is intact: I would like to remove the Touch Screen layer from the screen behind it to keep using my PC as it didn't have a Touch Screen layer.
I tried already to detach it, however I noticed that on the sides of it there are electrical contacts that link the Touch Screen to the PC.
Here comes my question: can I dismount the Touch Screen from my PC without risking to harm the PC itself?

However Customer Support could not help me with identifying what is the exact name of the part I need to replace, and on the website is very hard to understand what each part is, without a picture or a proper description for it.

B520 Front Bezel for 3D Touch - # 31-049855 (see page 27-28 for a picture, and page 67 for the part number, in the manual linked above)
But I have to say I am not 100% sure 'that' is the part I am looking for, since the picture in the manual is not self explenatory (there is a layer in front of the Bezel that does not have a name in the manual, and that looks like what I need).
Also, if I compare Spare parts numbers between the Hardware Maintenance Manual and the Spare Parts Website they are different. The Manual has "Service Part Numbers (FRU)", while the website has "MSN" numbers...
So I have no clues on how to pick the right part. My guess would be one of these:
- Housing components ; MSN: 35003197 ; Frame, stand
- Housing components ; MSN: 35004023; Screening, mainboard
- Housing components ; MSN: 35004032 ; Mount, display
- Housing components ; MSN: 35004033; Front panel

Touch Screen Text Entry?

Can anyone here tell me of OX X 10.5 will support a touch screen?
Here is what I am looking to accomplish.
I am going to build a CarPuter with a Mac Mini, I will have a touch screen mounted in the dash. I will be using RouteBuddy with a GlobalSat BT-359 GPS Receiver. I will be routing the audio from the mac mini to an amplifier that will run to the interior speakers.
What I need to know is if there is a Mac OS X application (or if it will spport it native) that will allow me to have an on screen keyboard for text entry to applications. I would hate to have to always carry a wireless keyboard with me to do text entry. My other alternative is to get a frogpad that can be used for text entry.
However I will also need to know if my finger movement on the screen will move the mouse, I would love to be able to move my finger to the dock, tap to open iTunes etc.

The answer you received is not correct. The answer is YES. MAC's do work with all touch screen monitors once you downliad the free drivers.
I have a Mac Mini and a Mac book pro both of which are connect to the same Acer Touch Screen Monitor. I am using it as write this to you.All you need to do is download the free drivers from www.touch-base.com. The basic touch drivers are free. I also purchase the mac gesture drivers for $109 USD and they work great. You can even activate the on screen keyboard in the mac accessibility settings which allows you to have a touch screen keyboard.

Touch Screen defective - NO Support!!

I have had an iphone for just over a year and this is my third one. Apple replaced the first two for a crack on the back case, advising it to be a flaw in the case. Now I have a touch screen issue, but I would not call it a dead spot like Apple states. Apple also said it was a hardware issue. The issue is that the screen work with some apps but not on the home screen or the keypad. When I stated having this issue I looked up and saw that this is more common then Apple let on. I was happy with the iphone till this happened and I was told to just buy a new iphone. I am extremely dissatisfied with the support and customer service Apple has displayed on what clearly is a defect. Toyota has taking care of their customers. I would like to here from others in my situation. I am sure that Apple will remove this post so I may be starting a new Facebook group for this topic.

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, more than likely there is a hardware problem. With a hardware failure, it can be a partial or complete failure.
If this were a problem specifically with Apple software on the iPhone only, then the overwhelming majority of iPhone users or all iPhone users running the same firmware version would be experiencing the same, which is not the case.
Your iPhone has a hardware problem as already stated by Apple and you have been provided the options for getting it fixed - via a 3rd party repair service, or making use of Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange for the same model at a discounted price. If this isn't acceptable, use the money to purchase another phone instead.

WebView scroll-bar width – touch screen friendly

How can I change the width of a WebView’s scroll-bar?
I tried to change the padding and font size as suggested at

Although it works fine with TableView, it does not work for the WebView.
Adjusting padding and font size only increases the height of scroll-bars increment/decrement buttons but the width remains default.
The core problem is that I have a touch-screen driver with insufficient support for JavaFX TouchEvents (no SWIPE, SCROLL etc). It means that I received only mouse pressed/released and mouse move events. For that reason, I need to make my GUI (WebView, TableView,..) more user friendly.

Where is there a scrollbar that's related to a menu ring? I can't find it.
One way to get a larger scrollbar:
place a horizontal progress bar:
change to control
change to "no fill"
edit it (STD if you want slider width changes to stick, TD if you're ok with copy/paste)
show parts window
select "Slider, Needle or Thumb"
Make it as wide as you like
Color it
Oh, cool! If you find a nice picture the size you want, make the Slider that size then right click it and "import picture from clipboard".
