I don't have the Library panel in Illustrator CC
Anyone encountered this issue?
Additional info...my version says 17, and I know now it should be 18. But Creative Cloud says I have the latest so I can't seem to update it further to version 18. I have these choices in Creative Cloud, but only the middle one (Illustrator CC) is clickable.

I think it is strange.
When I go to the time machine, the Library folder it is there, but the folder has not the same colour as the other folders (it is light grey) !!!!Starting in Lion Apple made the users Library folder invisible. If you want to see it in finder go to Go->Go to Folder and enter ~/Library, or hold down the option key while in the Go menu or else to make it permanently visible open a Terminal window and enter:
chflags nohidden ~/Library -
I don't have the iPhone button, as illustrated in the first picture. I've tried the tips that are mentioned in the first few steps and still nothing. My phone won't sync at all! I'm not completely computer illiterate; but, I am not well versed either. Could someone please tell me what I need to do to bring this back so I can sync my phone and laptop (windows op system).
The screen-shot is on a Mac computer. It is very similar in Windows iTunes. Have a look at this set of instructions instead.

Hello there - I am sharing an iPhoto library across two accounts on the same computer - it works fine EXCEPT for Quicktime movies - they play on one account and claim I don't have the rights on the other - all permissions are on and ok?
It should be in the Users/ Shared folder.
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Note the option to check and repair Library Permissions

My computer broke, so I had to change the hardrive-hardisk(?). Now iTunes dosen't work anymore. It says that the program is either locked, is on a locked unit or I don't have the right to open the library? Help please?
Sometimes a restart can fix this issue, but sometimes you have to fix the iTunes Library.itl file.
Try quitting iTunes, renaming the itunes file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library Old.itl"
then open itunes again
This should generate a new library file.
From this point you can try two different avenues.
1. Re-add everything to your library by going to the iTunes file menu, and selecting "add to library"
2. You can try deleting the iTunes Library.itl you created, changing the name of the old file back to iTunes Library.itl

Sounds like you have a damaged library7 To check launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and try to create a test library. If you can import a few photos. If that works then your original library is damaged so make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #3
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

The Creative Cloud has three versions of Photoshop version 13, 14 and 15. You can install the ones you want I have them and CS2 installed.

Moving a library to a new computer when you don't have the old computer
Hi,
I want to set up my ipod library on a new computer but I don't have the old one. Is this possible?
I used my work computer to set up my ipod mini and have since changed jobs. I only have the ipod and want to associate my new work computer with the library that exists on the ipod mini.
I can't seem to find any information that deals with this situation. Any ideas/help?

Mini Windows XPIf you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. When I delete a music playlist on my iPhone 4S, because I can't delete the palylist thru my Windows library, and sync the phone to the library subsequently, iTunes then deletes the same playlist in my Windows library. Are you serious?
Now I don't have the playlist anywhere.
What do I do except ***** to Apple, who make it almost impossible to contact them thru the internet? If you can find the way.I am glad there is someone else as frustrated as I about not only iTunes software but also how to contact Apple with a question.

I downloaded 2 cds onto my ipod nano through itunes. Recently my itunes account changed for some unknown reason and now it doesn't recognize the songs from the cds. The songs are still on my ipod. I am affraid to sync now because the songs may be deleated, and I don't have the cds anymore. How can I transfer the songs from the cds on my ipod back to itunes so that I don't lose them?
What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account." The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store. If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.

How are they not "recognized"? Are the songs still listed in your iTunes music library, but grayed out? They no longer appear in your iTunes library at all?

I am trying to restore an older iPod Touch, but do not have the passcode. I am getting an error message saying that I need to free up some space, but I cannot because I don't have the passcode and have never synced this device to my account. Help..
If it is asking for the screen-lock passcode then:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

How can i delete an old iCloud account and start using my own using my Apple ID? If I don't have the old password??
If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device). -
I don't have the Photo app on my home screen. Where do I find this? I think this is what I must use to view photos from my photo stream?
My photo icon on icloud.com did not appear until I went to my device (ipad in my case) and went to settings...Photos and Camera and toggle on iCloud Photo and Library (Beta) then refresh the icloud.com page.

How can I get my Albums back at the top of the Library Panel?
I recently upgraded to 3.3.2 and among the many new and sublty annoying features, all the smart albums which I created and which used to be at the top of the Library panel now appear at the bottom below the Projects.
Why someone thought this should be moved is beyond me... and I am hoping there is a way for me to bring it back to the top.
In some of my Aperture libraries I have literally hundreds of projects and rely on smart albums to quickly organize photos across them. Having to scroll to the bottom of the pane is a pain!
Does anyone know how I can bring the ALBUMS back to the top of the Library pane?Create a folder (new Folder), call it "My albums" or similar, and drag it to the top of your projects section in the Library Inspector panel.
Then drag all your albums there.
You will have to set the projects to be arranged manually, or let the name of this folder start with a character that bring it to the top, if you want to sort by name.
