    Check your iTunes media folder
    For Mac OS X

From the Side Bar click on your Home folder. (the folder named after your user account).
Go to Music > iTunes > iTunes Media
You may need to go to Music > iTunes > iTunes Music if the iTunes Media folder is empty.
Open the corresponding folder for the file type you are looking for.
The contents of the folder will be listed in alphabetical order. Depending on the folder, the files will be sorted by artist, author, or title.

  • I downloaded 2 movie rentals on my pc - how do I get them on my iPad?  (I couldn't find them on my pc either but when I went to rent them on the ipad - itunes store said I'd already rented them)

I downloaded 2 movies to my pc.  How do I get them on my iPad?  I couldn't even find them on my pc so I thought I'd download them to my iPad and the iTunes store said I'd already rented them...

We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it.  Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers.  See what I mean?  I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not.
You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

  • Pre-ordered Macbook Air, how do I transfer my DV Camera videos the new Mac?

Okay, I just pre-ordered a new Macbook Air to complement my Mac Pro...
    There is one problem though...
I bought the Air so I can start editing the video I shot while on the go, so if there's no Firewire support to the Air, how do I transfer the videos that I recorded from the DV Tape to Macbook Air?
Do I actually have to buy a new tapeless camcorder?
(note: I was planning on buying a new HD tapeless camcorder, but at later time... But if Macbook Air cannot connect to any Mini DV camera, do I have to buy the new camera early?)

Hi there! Don't cancel that order just yet...
Firstly, as already stated, Firewire cameras won't work with the Air. So you'll be needing one of those shiny new tapeless cameras.
As for how much space HD video takes up, it depends on what format the camera shoots in.
iMovie '08 works great with the latest tapeless cameras that shoot on SD cards, in the AVCHD format. A great example is the Panasonic HDC-SD1, or the SD5 and SD9.
These cameras can fit up to 6 hours of footage onto a 16gb SD-HC card. So, as long as you have about 16gb of space left on your MacBook Air's hard drive, you'll be able to fit about 6 hours of footage. Of course, this will vary depending on what quality setting you shoot in.
Once you're done with your edit, do you need to keep that video on your MacBook Air's drive? Probably not- consider archiving it to a usb hard drive, or even a wireless network drive. Or just delete it once you've burned to dvd via a usb dvd-burner, or uploaded it to the internet. Viola- you've freed up enough room for your next project.
If you're going to be using your notebook for editing all the time, then definitely consider either the MacBook or the MacBook Pro. But for occasional editing, the Air will do just fine.
As always, it depends on your needs.

  • IPhoto library move to new MacBook air - how ?

I am in the process of moving from my iMac 20inch early 2009, to a MacBook Air mid 2011, I want to move my photo library accross. The IMac is running iPhoto 09 ver 8.1.2, the MacAir is on iPhoto 11. ver 9.4.2.
I have the 2 connected via a network cable but neither can see the other so I cant just drag and drop, any ideas ?
    thanks
    stew

That's a networking issue. Yiou'll need to ask on the Using Mac OS X forum for how to set that up.
To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
    Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

  • I need to wipe the hard drive clean on MacBook Air, how do I do this?

I have a Macbook Air that I want to wipe clean.  All the discussions I read talk about rebooting with disk, but Air does not have one?

Reboot the system, hold command-R to boot into Recovery Partition.
Then you can use the recovery system to re-format the partition that hold the main OSX, and re-install OSX using the internet link.  That last part may take a bit of time.
See the two DiskUtility screens that will clear that partition.  The multi-pass erase adds time, but makes recovery of your data extremely difficult.  Note that until you hit the final "Yes, I want to erase it" button, all can be cancelled.

  • How can i transfer music from my iPod touch to my new macbook?

I recently bought a laptop, and i can not transfer the music on my ipod touch onto it!?
I also need to update my ipod, but if i do this i will lose what is on the ipod, and i have no back up because i cant get it onto my macbook!
Is there any way to do this using icloud?
    Please help!!!

    -Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - For other music you will need to use a third-party program like of of those discussed here.
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
    - After everthing is on the computer connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTune and select Back Up.
    - Restore the iPod from that backup.  This will also update the iOS.
If you update with having items like apps and music in the iTunes library, they will be deleted from the iPiod during the update. Se:

  • Hello.  I downloaded a movie on my MacBook Air and cannot play it.  I am unable to access the "play" icon under "controls" as it is not available.

    Can anyone help me?
Also, I cannot find the place in Finder that I was able to use on my old macbook pro that specified: today, yesterday, last week, etc.  I found that really helpful.
    thanks,

What exactly does this have to do with iPhones in the Enterprise, the forum to which you posted?

  • Hi all. I'm wondering if it is possible to download a movie to your MacBook Air and watch the bit that is downloaded (while the rest of the movie is downloading) through my Apple TV? It won't seem to let me watch it until the movie is fully downloaded.

Our internet seems to take a while so it would be easier to watch it as it's downloading. Please help!!
    Thanks in advance!

The only way to stream it would be to rent or purchase directly on Apple TV, however if your connection is slow you would still have to wait before initital playback begins. Best to upgrade your service.

  • Now that I have iTunes Match, I want to free up space on my Macbook Air - how do I do this without losing the songs in iTunes Match?

    Hi,
Make and keep a backup of your iTunes library, and only stream from the cloud.
