I downloaded an iBook but the first 8 chapters are blank with an error of rendering message

I down loaded an iBook and th first 8 chapters are blank and the pages have a rendering error.  I have rebooted and sometimes get part of the pages then they disappear when I go forward or back.

Have you tried deleting the book and re-downloading it ? If it's the only book that you've got in the iBooks app then you could try deleting the app and re-downloading that and the book.

    Have you tried deleting the book and re-downloading it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app ? If it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

    Did you see the full book download?
    Try quitting iBook and opening it up again. If that doesn't work, force quit iBook (open up multitasking, hold the icon down until it wiggles, then press the x to shut it down) and open it up again.

    Quit the iBooks app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Or ....Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Or ... Delete the book and download it again in the purchased tab of the iBook Store, as long as you use the same Apple ID, there is no charge to download it again.

    Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

    No. iBooks are only readable on an iDevice like an iPad or iPod Touch.
    You might try using a third-party program like calibre 0.8.28 that can read the format used for iBooks.

    Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
    It says:
    "NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
    Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
    Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

    1. I am running on Windows 8.1
    2. When running the installer file from https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/reflow I get the following choice
    I click "OK" which doesn't do anything for me (CC is off).
    I turn CC on and run the installer again. I get the following window that within few settings disappears:
    Then - just for half a second it says "Launching Creative Cloud desktop" and then it brings CC to front, and that's all.
    RF still not there.
    3. I spoke ta support agent on the Adobe chat on Friday. He looked into my computer for an hour. Uninstalled After Effects (after failing to update it). For some reason all apps disappeared from the list. They then reappeared after he opened PS.
    This morning After Effects is still showing up in my system and is operational.
    Weird.
    4. At the end the agent suggested maybe Firewall is the problem here. Trying that out now.

    What do you see in the Mac App Store > Purchases section? The dl could just be paused, in which case you can resume it and carry on.
    If it doesn't list it there then search your Mac for the installer incase it finished in the background and didn't start the installer automatically.
    Finally, if you don't see it anywhere and you're sure it hasn't finished and actually updated without you realising it, you can email Apple's iTunes support team and they can either put it back in your download queue to try again or regrant you the download so you can 'buy' it again without having to pay.
