I downloaded ios 7 but it will not install

ive recently download the ios 7 software but it will not let me instal the software its giving me this error message and wont let me do anything else i have no idea what to do i would love some help thanks!

For some reason you have a folder called Backups.backupdb at the root level of the hard disk on which you want to install Yosemite.
Move it to the Trash.

Make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements.
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available spare

If your Mac meets the requirements, installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after instaling the combo installed. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
If you have anti virus software installed, you may need to disable that in order to install Lion.

I can download itunes for 64 bit windows 7 but it will not install, any ideas

Just downloaded edge, but it will not install

It just say's 'installer failed to initialize this could be due to a missing file. Please download adobe support adviser to detect the problem. But the support adviser doesn't detect any problems. Have downloaded edge twice now, same problem.

Hi again, and thanks for being so helpful. I have just solved the problem and thought i should post it here in case others have the same problem. I was using an unzip programme called jzip, i downloaded win rar instead and it worked. Obviously something wrong with jzip.

Eduardo Alejandro Lazo what specific error do you receive when trying to apply the update?
I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

I'm having the same issue. I went through the apple website to reset my password, and it was no problem, even let me update my email address and apple id, but my iphone is still not accepting what I know the password is, so I can't delete it, or change the apple id information.

Also, once you successfully install, please backup the install file to a separate HD and/or CD. I agree that your comment is not clear. You say you installed it, but it is simply in the download folder. Did you run the install file that you downloaded? The download does not install the program, but the install is an extra step.

1.        Uninstall the adobe 11.0 flash player first even if it shows as a recent install
2.       2. Install adobe flash player 11.0 and make certain you download from the Adobe website not a liason website! Important!
3.       Once installed fully and the prompt tells you that you have successfully installed adobe flash player 11.0 …
4.       YOU must RESTART your computer regardless of what the prompt states at this point in time
5.       Then when you have successfully completed shutdown/ restart and your computer reboots to normal operation…
6.       You may receive or you may not receive a prompt stating that something new has been installed on your computer
7.       If you receive a prompt after restart follow the prompt and do as it instructs you to.

Sometimes the App Store version doesn't work correctly. In this case, install 10.8.4 with the Combo version > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
The Combo installer is the safest way to update OS X, and it allows you to update more than one computer with a single download
