If you purchased the Perpetual Licensed version of Lightroom and received a 24 numeric serial number you will have to download the correct version from the link below.
Before doing the new installation you will have to uninstall the existing version from your computer (it is the Creative Cloud version) since it is requesting you to "renew your membership" . This process will not interfere with your Catalog file, Preferences or your personal files, it will just remove the existing application. Both versions are the same application just a different download and activation process.
Reboot your system then run the install of the Perpetual License download and input the serial number to activate. Things should be fine.

If it asks for an activation to activate the develop, it must be a CC version installed. If you use a CC version you have to pay you for your selected plan like monthly or annually.
If you should have the stand-alone version because you don't have/want a CC plan, then you probably have installed the wrong version - the CC instead of the stand-alone.

open lightroom and you should see a message about your trial expiring and giving you the option to purchase. click that option and you should be given the option to enter your serial number.
if not, uninstall your lightroom trial (using the adobe uninstaller). then download and install lr 5.7,

I created a form using the free trial. What happens with the form I created when my free trial ends? Will people still be able to fill it out?

I assume that you are referring to the Free 1 month trial of the "Basic" level subscription which allows you to have up to 5 forms in your account. There is a "Free" level of service that allows you to have 1 form in your account collecting up to 50 responses, when your "Trial" expires your account will revert to the Free level and you can still have one form open collecting responses (up to 50). Nothing is deleted from the account and if you ever do subscribe to the paid level of service all of the forms you had created during the trial would be fully functional.

Actually, Apple makes a nice profit from songs, video, book, and apps. They also have apps in the AppStore for all of their major competitors in the eBook market some of which do have apps for reading on Mac OSX machines. So, no, it's not about trying to con you into buying hardware.

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

TC was designed to backup your Mac. The TC literature is pretty clear about this:
If your Mac's hard drive has a problem....it will sooner or later....you can use your backup on the TC to rebuild your Mac.
But.....if you move all of your data to the TC from your Mac....you only have one version of that data now, and it is on the TC.
Have you thought about what will happen when....not if....the TC has a problem? Since the only version of your important data was on the TC, and the TC has failed......you lose all of your data.....because you have no backup.
A much better plan would be to add a USB or FireWire hard drive and connect it directly to your Mac. Move the data on your Mac over to the hard drive.
Then, the TC will backup both your Mac and the hard drive. So, you have original data on on one drive and backups on another drive.
That would be a minimum backup plan. Most of us have more than one set of backups.
