Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. If still nothing, connect to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, iPhone may turn ON itself. If still nothing keep on charger and Reset. It can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger.

There were no passwords on this phone before downloaded the updated operating system. This makes no sense. Find my phone is very sporatic with this new operating system. No it didn't. You did, whether you realize it or not. Restrictions can only be enabled by user interaction. They don't just turn on by themselves.

Why do'nt you just restore the latest backup that was made prior to you applying the update? Problem solved?

Dropped my Ipod, I have put it in Disk Mode, I have downloaded the new software, tried to restore it and it has seized please help?

I dropped my Ipod (4TH Generation Ipod Nano) I have got it start up again I have put it in disk mode and connected it to Itunes,
I have downloaded the new software through Itunes, that went well, it came up as normal.
I have got it to restore to factory settings. (Although before hand it synced and all that)
During this process it has seized and not done what it was suppose to, only displaying the Apple Symbol.
I disconnected, and it has gone flat and now is telling me to connect it to power, when I do so nothing happens.
It won't connect to itunes.
Please help.

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11) Installed on your computer

Hi, I downloaded the latest software for my iphone 4 and this morning I received text messages that were meant for my son. we both use the same PC and iTunes for our iphones, so will he get a copy of my messages too when he upgrades his software?
does anyone know how to stop this? or how it happened in the first place?

You have an Apple ID signed in to all the devices which is causing this.
"When you sign in to your Apple ID with iMessage using an iPhone with iOS 6, your Apple ID is linked to your phone number. This allows you to receive iMessages sent to your phone number on other iOS 6 devices signed in to the same Apple ID."
To correct this, go into Settings > Messages > Send and Recieve at > See below...
On your phone: Uncheck your son's phone number
On his phone: Uncheck your phone number.
On iPad: Uncheck both phone numbers to prevent iMessages sent to either number to also appear on the iPad.
If you have email addresses associated here, then you may have to remove those as well, although you won't be able to remove the Apple ID that you're using. Any iMessage sent to that Apple ID will arrive at all the device unless you sign out of that Apple ID and create/use another Apple ID for that device.

I tried to update my iTunes software on my iPhone today and plugged it into my laptop. Before the process was complete, I received an error message saying I had to "restore" my iPhone before it would work with iTunes. Even more importantly, and troublesome, is the fact that now my phone won't even work at all. I can't turn the iPhone on, and all the screen shows is the iTunes icon with a picture of the white power cord. Can someone advise if there is a way to update the software without restoring my iPhone, which will cause me to lose everything on the phone (much of which I have not backed up yet)? Last, is my stuff already backed up by iCloud? I believe I have sellected that option on my phone, but honestly, have never really understood what iCloud is or does. you broke your phone. Bring it to Apple for an out of warranty exchange ($149) or find a 3rd party repair shop near you.

Would like to downgrade my IOS 6.0.1 Software to the IOS 5.1.1 Software. The new IOS for the Iphone is horrible. Too much lagging. Even after a complete restore, upgrade, no apps but the one the Iphone comes with, and just the basic things, my Iphone is horrible in speed, and loading.
I have the Iphone 4 gsm model 8GB, and I have had many of them. New, and Refurbished. Performance is all the same.
I am willing to pay Apple for a Downgrade in IOS versions, and I know shsh blobs are required, but I understand that Apple has technology that can do many things with their products. I am no fool, and am only requesting something so simple.

Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple at all. If you search the web, you'll find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly bricked their devices.
