I downloaded the update Adobe Reader IX and now cannot open incoming PDF attachments It says "EULA display has stopped working"

Go to: C/Program Files (or Program Files(x86))/Adobe/Reader 11.0/Reader
Look for the file named "eula.exe" (or just "eula")
Double click it and accept the end user license agreement (eula)
You should not see this error anymore

Adobe Reader 10.1.8 cannot open pdfs on latest iMac and MacOS

Hello, I have a new iMac that I got last spring (Feb. 2013) and it came with the latest Adobe Reader, 10.1.8. (I just recently updated my mac OS to Maverick.) Since starting to use this new computer I've had huge problems opening pdfs. that I download from reliable websites via Adobe Reader. The warning I get is that the pdf file is not a supported file type (or it has been damaged), which I don't believe because I am able to open them on my older iMac. I am also able to open pdfs. received via email. This problem is terribly annoying and I'd be grateful for help in solving it. Many thanks.

Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files.
Empty the trash.
Dowenload the latest Reader (XI -11.0.4) here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Install it to replace Reader X.
PDFs downloaded with Safari will no longer be damaged.
Unfortunately the ones that say they are... are, and you should trash them too.

Down loaded Adobe reader 9 and can't open PDF

I am operating Windows Vista. I have installed reader 9.3 several times including using the installer icon. When i atempt to open a pdf all I get is a window that remains blank. The reader was working previously on my computer and suddenly it quite working. I think it happen after an adobe update. I also tried Reader 9 and reader8.3 and nothing changes.

I downloaded the new 3.6.6 and now cannot access any history from beyond yesterday

I have a Windows 7 laptop, 64bit. I have always accessed all history of places I have been on the web. After downloading the latest upgrade from Firefox. 3.6.6., I now am unable to access my History for anything beyond Yesterday.

After downloading the newer version of Firefox, I now cannot open the NYTimes crossword puzzle with Across lite (I could do it before). Help!

Yestereday I downloaded the newer version of Firefox. I also as recommended did the same for Adobe Flash. When I went to NYTimes site to print a crossword puzzle (as I do everyday) using AcrossLite, I got this error message: /Users/mary/Downloads/Jun0911-1.puz could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening the file.
I tried updating AcrossLite to see if that made a difference. I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.7

Mozilla are aware of the issue in Firefox 3.6.14 and are working on a fix, no timescale but they are planning on a quick release.

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I got that Exact message... I think I updated my version of iTunes and it worked correctly.

Every time I attempt to download the latest version of Adobe Reader I never receive a RUN command. My modem appears busy, but nothing happens?

If Flash Player is indeed the problem I would suggest using the Adobe Uninstaller.
Have you tried using a different browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari to see if they have a problem with Flash?

Videos stopped playing... I get a black screen then plays for a few seconds and freezes. Have downloaded the latest Adobe flash player and it did not help.

One of the following steps should help.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content: > "Enable Plug-ins".
       or
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow all other plug-ins
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.

    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box beside
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes beside all items.
    Check the box beside "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions, if any.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

Yes, the employee can download the free Adobe Reader onto a company computer without a license issue.
BUT, the company computer would have to be configured such that this activity was permitted. Not all company computers are configured this way. The typical user profile is more restrictive than the user profile we have for the OS and applcations installs on our personal computers.
Adobe provides a download of the installer on the Adobe.com site. Lotsa people use it to get Adobe Reader; so, no problem if all the employees at your place do it (IF the user profile on the computer permits it).
